Has anyone here ever seen where/how we get veal? There is no humane way to do that. Any veal famer will tell you just that. -

Not to get somewhat-completely off subject... but has anyone been to a Renaissance Fair? I go to the one in Lancaster, PA every year. They sell knives, shields, swords, and other implements of medi-evil destruction. Yet, I've never seen anyone gutted, sliced, stabbed, or what-have-you. Atleast, anything that wasn't scripted that is. -

^ Oh fiddle-sticks. Yup, is true indeed. There is even more calcium in soy milk compared to animal milk. I heard that at first and didn't believe it until I looked it up. Well, there are two types of protein: complete and incomplete. Complete protiens are protiens ONLY found in animal flesh and are mostly seen to be highly beneficial in muscle development of the human body. Incomplete protiens are protiens found in nuts, legumes, and some fruits and vegetables. While they are not complete, they are still complete enough for a human body to function off of. Otherwise you'd see vegans dropping dead left and right or getting infectious or termianl diseases at higher rates than meat eaters. You just won't see many Vegan body builders. There has yet to be any conclusive study, least that I or any Vegan I know have seen, that says your health is at a much higer risk if you eliminate animal protiens from your diet. -

Don't you mean you "couldn't care less" ? My bio teacher last ear gave us a whole lecture about that saying... lol, work on your quoting. it makes me look like the nice guy and i also hate people who say i could care less. (not really, but yeah...) Man, I used "could care less" and I'm vegan. I must be your public enemy number one. -
Ahhh... Yet another fine product coming out of the Garden State. I can drink this beer with a special pride now. Too bad I don't drink.

^ Has me confused with someone else. < Has never been to a theme park in the winter, except for ones in Orlando. V Cries during sad movies but denies it in public.

Well, I play whatever the arcades have that I frequent. Thats the only thing I've played in any arcade in the past ten years. I've never stepped on a SuperNOVA yet. Haven't seen one anywhere near me yet. I have, All for PS2: DDR MAX, DDR MAX 2, DDR EXTREME, DDR EXTREME 2, and IN THE GROOVE. And I also have DDR Ultramix for XBOX. I play mainly all 7-9 footers only always at atleast 2X speed. My pads that I use are some cheap China produced foam pads found on Ebay for 2 for $20. They were actually as decent as the Red Octane foam pads that you can buy for $80-$100 anywhere. I have since modified one of my Chinese import pads (just like I have in the past with my $100 Red Octane pads) by replacing it's guts by installing a cheap-o Mad Catz $20 flimsy pad. The action on it is sweet and is now extra cushioned because of the Mad Catz pad insertion. I've used that same $20 Mad Catz pad for over two years now and the action on it is still close to perfect and better then the action on the hard pads when these lose a "step" after a few weeks of use. And I've never Stepmania nor have I seen it. I'll get around to it one of these days.

You actually care about what people eat? Food preferance discrimination... that's a new one. And for the record I'm a hardcore Vegan that could care less about or ever look down upon someone for what they eat. Except people who eat water ice. Those people should be locked up. -
Just imagine all the great athletes that had their prime years or retired before the ESPY's were around. They must feel so empty inside to have never gotten one.

Maybe one of the customers found out what the secret KFC receipe was and then an employee had to attack them to save the company. I'm pretty sure there is something in the KFC employee handbook that says protect the Colonel's receipe at ALL costs! -

Roeding Park! Trip Report! Pictures!
TheArchfiend replied to Ryan King's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Let me get this right... they actually asked the people inside the park to pay for these rides? Wow, I'm in the wrong business. -
I think Great Adventure is "touchable" because it has many acres of land around the park that can be sold to whoever is the highest bidder. So Great Adventure's land is technically for sale but not necessarilly the park. But the park doesn't fit the whole "clean, safe, fun" motto to a T so it's possible they want to sell the park as well. But I fell thats very unlikely.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

^^ Point taken and accepted. I'm just concerned over Cedar Points unmoveable assets like their big monstrous coasters. Those are large land consumers and they can only fit so much more under, over, within the structures of the coasters that are there. They can only get rid of so many flats before they contemplate taking down one of their prized larger coasters so they can remain "hip" and build one of the newest and greatest coaster on the market. But that is years from now. At the same token; I'm stunned they have fit as much as they got in the park now so I wouldn't be surprised to see them fit in a whole lot more. -
Thats from a few years back in Japan if I rememeber correctly. The peeps got stuck on the ride and had to be removed with the cherry-picker. Unfortunantly, the ride decided to drop back down to Earth while the riders were being removed. Good times were not had by all on this day. Also, almost every net posting of this video calls this a "roller coaster". Now, I'm not a roller coaster engineer but I think thats not a roller coaster. Shame on them for slandering the holy name of roller coaster!

So these were the parks considered the top 6 in the chain. Wow! Drive-by shootings do wonders for a theme park.

TheArchfiend replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
"Plenty"? I wouldn't go that far now. Cedar Point does have enough room to build a couple more coasters, yes. I wouldn't say they have the heaping amounts of acreage to build upon that they wish they did. You can only build over or side by side so many other rides or remove so many rides to accomadate new ones. Regardless, I'm curious to see how they combat their ride crowded park in the future. But, I live in New Jersey and just when you think an area can't be built up anymore... society finds a way to do it. -
This does not surprise me at all that Great Adventure would be up for possible sale. The park has proven to be in decline as far as the "family friendly" image goes in Shapiro/Snyder's master plan and doesn't get much better each year. Yes, the rides rule at GADV but the general public that frequents the park is packed with many of the undesireables that Shapiro speaks oh so fondly of. I just don't see the park being sold to put up houses. HOWEVER I do see them selling off land around the park to the highest bidder. Great Adventure has more than enough room to spare without selling off any land immediately occupied by any part of the park as we speak. I could see some higher incoming housing built around the park. Thats the rich families Snyder and Shapiro want in the park anyway. I also can totally see them selling the park to another theme park company. Or, they are just stuck keeping it. I have faith that someone can turn the park back into the great place it once was. I just don't see it happening right away with Snyder in charge. I'm willing to give him time to prove his vision of the company can come to fruition.

Like a coaster... UNDER the entire park! That would so rule! Ok, but realisticaly though; I'm sure they will always try to make room some way or another to remain one of the country's top notch coaster parks. I just see other rides sacrificed to make room for future rides. And that may start to suck for the park. They can only fit so many mega-large-strata-colassa-coasters in the park. They are bound to get trumped by another park with more readily available land sooner or later.. **COUGH Great Adventure COUGH** -
Well I don't condone them taking/using the footage without asking but they atleast did comment to visit this site for more coaster footage. It was a very good montage of this sites POV footage and honestly that video serves as a good ad for the site more than anything else. I look at that as free advertising. No harm in that but regardless; they should have asked and shown you guys what they wanted to do with your footage first. Rob and Elissa: Do you atleast feel it was a good and well put together video of your sites videos? I understand you guys being peeved but I'm just wondering if you think the persons work was flattering to you guys at all in their attempt to make a montage of this sites coaster footage? Also; like BeemerBoy said, would you guys have wholeheartedly approved this YouTube video if shown and asked about this before it was published on the web?

^ I like that song too but my version of DDR MAX2 for PS2 is defunct and won't play in my PlayStation anymore but works in other PS2's. WTF!? That is also the only PlayStation 2 home game that has the original version of Afronova on it.
