Actually now that I think about it... Freefall at Great Adventure gives me that drop feeling every time and I've been riding that thing for over 15 years(not anymore). Wonder why free falls give me that feeling but coaster drops don't?

I hear it's going to be a Aqua Tra... oops, wrong thread. Seriously though, it's good to see parks around the country building new coasters each year. Can't say I've heard one peep about any Six Flags park getting a new coaster next year but I'll let them slide this time with all their debt woes.

Thats a good point cause drops don't get me much at all either. Launches are a different story though. I've marathoned on Batman and Robin the Chiller and every launch has had the same effect every time I've gone to Great Adventure. Even Ka feels just as intense at the launch eventhough I've rode that a bagillion times.

Wow, these Aqua Trax coasters sure get built quick and this Aqua Trax is coming along quickly as well. This Aqua Trax coaster will most certainly be ready for opening day next season. This Aqua Trax looks like a very cool Aqua Trax so far.

You know what would be great... If Cedar Point built an Aqua Trax coaster. I wonder if they ever will?

Ohh.... Got ya! I didnt even give that a thought. I guess the park didn't give that much thought either since they decided to build their waterpark next to one of the parks loudest coasters. As the two Guiness guys would say... "Brilliant!"

Wow, that trash can pic was great! Could you imagine how many people would get fired if a trash can looked like that at a Disney park!? Nice trip report. You should post more than just a few pics on your next reports.

What exactly is the reason for Flashback shutting down when Hurricane Harbor would open for the season? I keep hearing this but am baffled as to why this ride could only, in the past, opperate when HH was in the off-season.

They did try it when Ka first opened while it just started to drizzle and some people complained about how painful it was while state inspectors were looking on. Hence... banned from opperating in the rain there on out.

Another month!? Well, it's a good thing we figured it out here and don't have to wait for the official announcement And I'll keep my word about the name change too. Kinda moot since it is so obviously an AquaTrax.

I'd try to get on as much as possible during the concert as that pulls several thousand park goers to there and lessens lines somewhat around the park. First week of September is when the insanely packed Saturdays end with the schools going back in session that week and less people subsequently booking a trip to the park. It's still pretty packed but not too bad. You should be fine with the regular flash pass to get a few rides in on all the main attractions. The only wild card is Ka as it breaks down all the time reaking havoc on scheduled flash passers in line.

^ Well... there is a lot more surface space to spray paint on between the connecting pieces of Tatsu. I'm sure the Maverick AquaTrax pieces are coded somehow so they dont get put together backwards or upsidedown and what not.

Angry... Stupid... calm down dude. I have as much knowledge as to what this coaster will be as anyone else here. I'm just making the thread more active by stating "I know" what it is now. For all I know it could be a ferris wheel. BUT in this case... the ride is going to be an AquaTrax. I'm so sure it will be an AquaTrax that I raise me bet to a trillion dollars. Make my bet a zillion dollars.

I bet you all a million dollars that it's an AquaTrax. The pictures of that AquaTrax in South Korea are just too damn similar. The plotting of the supports so far looks to be for a low lying coaster, the track is that of Intamin AquaTrax structures, the supports are IDENTICAL to an AquaTrax coaster. The glove fits and you can NOT aquit! If it's not a AquaTrax then I will change my name here to The Archfiendess. That's how confident I am in the proof that is before me.

^ Given the combination of Intamin and Cedar Point... I was a little unsure whether it may or may not be an Aqua Trax. I never ruled out that they were going for some "new" concept that wasn't an Aqua Trax. But not after seeing the last update and the pics from South Korea today. That puppy is a Aqua Trax.

^^ Maybe they sold the sign on Ebay for extra cash? Or maybe they took it to a jeweler and are having it gold plated and lined with diamonds. That would be sweet.

I'm sold... the defense rests. The jury has ruled that this new coaster will be an AquaTrax. Probably I'll go out on a limb and draw that conclusion even if the announcement hasn't been made yet. Now, it's how fast this puppy would launch that makes me wonder even more
