The exchange rate flopped. Now it is 27 to 1. Meh... that's still good enough for me.

They can take all those coasters down as long as I get to ride the new Aquatrax next year!! Why would they need all those coasters anyway with a Aquatrax in the park? 1 Aquatrax is equal to 50 Millenium Force's.

I heard they started taking it apart because they need the red track sections to use on their new Aquatrax. The President of Ohio himself told me. No joke.

I'd go on Saturday this time only due to the fact that weather is going to be VERY bad due to Ernesto coming to the Jersey area Friday night into Saturday. I can't imagine there will be that many people there if it's pouring rain... course, that makes the day less enjoyable but the crowds should be way less. I have no problem going in the rain and actually try to go on days that it does rain for the very reason that it scares people away. You know, cause one could die if you got wet from raindrops.

I wonder if they have a name yet for the type of coaster that combines water ride effects with a roller coaster?

I hear that that is supposed to be a large hot air dryer to walk through once you get off the Aquatrax. Because one would get wet riding an Aquatrax. And it so happens that this park is building an Aquatrax. A red Aquatrax to be specific. Aquatrax.

^^ My guess is that it is one of many pieces that help support the structure of the entire ride and keep the train from crashing into the ground. But I am no architect so it could be part of a lemonade stand for all I know.

I now fear that this will still be mainly an Aquatrax thread even after the announcement. Yeah, then everyone can join in without speculation once this puppy is announced to be an Aquatrax.

What boggles me more looking at this list again is that only 3 coasters made before 1994 made it on the steel top 50. I could have sworn there was a ton of kick-butt steel coaster's built in the 80s and early 90s. Rides like the first Batman at Six Flags in Ill. that spawned about 6 trillion clones. How the hell did these voters not even find that memorable, special, or whatever enough to be on this list? Why do I still care to look at this list anymore?

They have already been there. Great, now the parks will be flodded with Theaton 6 and 7s armed with their spiritual super powers. No offense to any Theatons out there. Maybe the high ranking Theatons will replace the Justice League inside the park?

^^ It must have taken forever to figure out what type of coaster Tatsu was going to be. Unlike Ceder Point's new coaster which is so blatantly obvious that it's an Aquatrax.

^ Exactomundo. The ride used to be more "decent" when sections were black lit and speakers provided various sound effects throughout the ride. It must obviously cost billions to fix the speakers and blacklights as they haven't been opperational in years.

^^^^ I think that we should elect a coaster council here comprised of the members that have been to more than just a few parks within the U.S. Robb can be the first president of the council and hold veto and tie breaking powers. He would also be responsible for ordering executions of any members of the council that make stupid suggestions like Colossos not even being in a top twenty wodden coaster list. Just a crazy thought.

^^ Yeah, good point. Ka is both faster and taller too. I guess theming was far superior on TTD??? I think that gets chalked up to a previous point made here that TTD was the first Strata and thus more memorable and rankable of the two.

I was going to say that too but then I noticed that Blackpool's, Pleasure Beach finished 2nd for best park of the year. That just confuses me that they give respect to a non-domestic park by ranking it #2 in the world but the rides themselves in foreign countries get little props, if any, on the top 50 lists.

^ Damn, that blows. Still, late opening or not, 8% of the vote for new ride of the year is a total slap in the face to El Toro. EDIT: OMG!! I just saw that Colossos is number 23 and Balder is 27 on the wodden coaster list! That's just... wow, umm... uhh..... yeah.
