  1. 0 How many places (houses, apartments, teepee's etc..) have you lived in?
  2. Here's one I found of me, my partner, and the devil . Actually, it was before a photo shoot - Satan with a basket of apples with several drag queens reaching around him. I live in a town with an Art College - nothing else to be said. I'm not in this one - but these were the people involved in the shoot - God I have wierd friends! I'm the one on the left of satan.
  3. Thanks for the pics. For those of you who don't know - I LOVE fairs. Your PTR has gotten me in the mood for our fair down here (The Coastal Empire Fair,) which starts in a couple of weeks! Can't wait. david
  4. Thanks for the great pictures. It looked like everyone had a great time! The Villain Mix and Mingle sounds GREAT! I was always rather a fan of the "bad guys." david
  5. Here are some from me: I just got a new job in the insurance industry I haven't had an alcoholic beverage in almost 11 months I just joined a Gym Gummi Bears are my favorite candy I used to be a Go Go dancer at an Industrial Club
  6. ^^ I really like the idea of a super/psychopath/serial killer! Also, is it just me, or does it seem like Ali Larter's character is just suffering from an uber severe case of multiple personality disorder. Also, it kind of blew my mind when Hiro teleported himself forward in time! That was a bit of a twist. david
  7. I Freaking loved Whataburger! When I lived in Dallas, we would eat from there at least once or twice a week. GREAT hangover food! david
  8. I'm looking forward to the second episode of Hero's this evening. I really enjoyed the first episode. My favorite character is the morbid/indestructable cheerleader!! Morbid/Indestructible Cheerleaders ROCK!
  9. This is me at SFoG in the skybuckets.
  10. Rob Zombie - "Dragula"
  11. Thanks for the pics Wes. I love small town fairs. It is always fun to stand next to the "spin and puke" rides and watch people exit.
  12. Thanks for the pictures. I love fairs! What was up with that HiRoller thing? I've been going to fairs for years and have never seen one of those? Are they fun? Painful? Sick-making? david
  13. I have found (like others in this thread) that being an "enthusiast" makes my park days alot more fun. Knowing how to "do" a park, and knowing which kinds of rides I like more than others greatly enhances any day at a park. I laugh inside at some of the crazy things that non-enthusiasts say in line, but I don't correct them. It really does not matter to them how everything works - that is my thing. Also, as mentioned on another thread, sometimes I might burn out on parks. When that happens, I don't go for a while and the "magic" comes back! david
  14. Here are the few that I remember Rock-n-Rollercoaster - Opryland Wabash Cannonball - Opryland Viper - SFoG Mini Mine Train - SFoG Z-Force - SFoG - (is now Flashback at Magic Mountain but never works.) Starliner - Miracle Strip (now rotting in a field at Cypress Gardens) david
  15. I agree with everyone about the "obsession" ebbing and flowing. When I was a pre-teen, I was crazy about amusement parks (not just coasters.) I lost interest for a few years, then got my first job at SFoG and got crazy about parks/coasters again. After a couple of years - lost interest again until my mid 20's then I was crazy about them again. Then life happened, and I moved 4 hours away from any park and they fell out of my life for a while. Now I'm in my 30's and I love them again. I am hoping to go on the Midwest Trip which will be my first "Coaster Trip." When I say that I lost interest, I do not mean that I stopped liking coasters, just that other things became more important at the time. Don't worry - everyone "burns out" every once in a while with almost any hobby/obsession. david
  16. I defnintely have to agree with the Zipper and Ring of Fire rides. The last fair I went to, they sat me in the front (back?) seat of the ring of fire. There was less room in that seat than in the other seats - but I figured that I was going to be riding alone so it would be all right. WRONG - right before the ride took off, they put a little kid (by little I mean age...) that was probably 9 years old and almost outweighed me in the cabin with me. SQUISH! Not so much fun on that one.
  17. I was watching it with friends last night, and I was the only person in the room who laughed out loud at the "enthusiast" joke. That was great! Made my evening! david
  18. Mellow Mushroom is very good - but my absolute favorite pizza is a little mom and pop joint here in Savannah. It is called Vinnie Van GoGo's - their pizza is INCREDIBLE! david
  19. Goliath at SFoG has a killer view of - well everything around there. Atlanta is a nice looking city, and you can see it from the top. Also - the view DOWN is really great! david
  20. The Hunger with David Bowie, Catherine Deneuve, and Susan Sarandon. HOT david
  21. I just finished re-reading The Stand last week. What an excellent book! The first Stephen King I read was IT and it scared the crap out of me. It still gives me the willies every time I read it - and in the Mini Series - Tim Curry as Pennywise the clown is scary as hell!!
  22. I remember CG growing up in Atlanta. I always remember it being strictly gardens and water ski shows. It has also been around "forever." The rides section is relatively new, and I choose to look at their current problems as "areas of opportunity." Hopefully they can get their act together with the amusement park part of the experience. Also, don't they have a huge Christmas Light festival? I seem to remember something about that a few years ago, but I could easily be thinking of something else. david
  23. Rides like Acrophobia scare the crap out of me - but it is a good kind of scared. Skycoaster - did it once - not again. The Double Ferris Wheel at the fair - by far the most terrifying thing for me. The think looks like it is made out of an Erector Set - rattles, shakes and sways - NEVER!
  24. ^^ I totally agree. I am gay, and happily so. I would not "choose" to be anything other than what I am. Is it easy? No. Is it who I am? Definitely. Even though the entire process of coming out (to myself, friends and family) was extremely scary and intimidating; I could not imagine being or trying to be anything other than who I am.
  25. Ryan - I was having an uneventful morning at the office and can honestly say that that MADE MY DAY! Thanks! Also, I agree with the Sleeping Bag people - that always worked going down the stairs better than a box - Since it has been so long since I have done that - I'll call it my "Arrow Death Bag". Keep up the good and creative work - I know I'm impressed. d.
