  1. Although Rumbler is the superior ride (by far) for both parks, I'd still say Lake Winnie for an overall park experience. Beech Bend is fun, but Lake Winnie feels like an old, established, family owned park. It is just charming and has some classic flats that you don't see around very often any more.
  2. Prozach - you should be fine. I think your initial plan works the best. I'm sure your wife will enjoy KD, but she'll most likely LOVE BGW, so leaving it for the last and leisurely day sounds best. I-305 is insane, but it didn't make me appreciate other rides any less (besides maybe Milennium Force, but that's because they are both giga's and both Intamin.) Although I love I-305, it just exhausts me . It isn't something I can marathon, which I can on every coaster at BGW so there is enough of a difference that you won't be affected. Last Summer we did KI, then Cedar Point, then Kings Dominion and then joined the TPR Northeast tour to do Hershey, Knobels, Dorney and NYC. The I-305 rides did not change my feelings about any of the other coasters on our trip, and I actually liked SkyRush better. Hope that helps! David
  3. Thanks for posting your report! I really look forward to experiencing Holiday Park and GeForce someday. I've been hearing and reading about it for years.
  4. I also love Hershey. It is one of my favorite parks and Skyrush just makes me drool. Such an out of control and wild ride.
  5. L- o- c- k- e- r - there was such a huge Hubub a couple years ago about parks making you pay for a storage place to put your souvenier mug that they upsold you that every post had that word in it like 20 times. The neverending complaining ended up with having the word filter engaged to make posts about them look stupid. It has stuck around because it is funny.
  6. Although I have only been to this park once with a TPR trip - I really enjoyed it. I just wanted to stop in and say thanks to our park people on this thread with keeping everyone updated on goings on. This is the only thread where I've really seen this and I think it is awesome. Thanks!
  7. I'll be sending good mojo your way. Keep us updated!
  8. ^ Well - if you come down, you have ready-made friends Anyone have any big trips coming up? I'd love to hear about them so I can Facebook stalk your trip and feel like I'm on vacation too
  9. ^There are so many different things going on that you can't possibly do them all - that is why it is such a blast. And the P-House is E-P-I-C during Gay Days - just sayin' And I'll definitely promise a round of sick-twisted cocktails
  10. ^ I'm glad to hear the great reviews about Cyclone. I hope it is a pre-cursor of what could happen to the Georgia Cyclone Sucks about DeJa....Goliath's trains though. When I finally got to ride one of these (after 4 years of trying) I really enjoyed it. Sucks that the new trains might screw that up.
  11. I wasn't planning on going to HHN this year (last year was SOO crowded on a weeknight and the houses just did not seem worth dropping the mountain of cash for our family to get fast passes/quick queue/whatever. The announcement of this house, however, is making me re-think this
  12. So when are some of you hookers going to come to Orlando to visit? It would be nice to put more "faces with profiles."
  13. Had a awesome weekend during Gay Days down here in Orlando. Went to Epcot on Saturday (love that park) and had a blast at the events at the Parliament House. Saw Color Me Bad play on Friday night and Wilson Phillips play on Saturday. Color Me Bad was not that great (fun, but not good ) but Wilson Phillips were phenominal.
  14. Amazing pictures as always Andy! Thanks for posting them. I wish we'd been able to do the 1st half of this trip, but it was still fantastic to get in on the 2nd half .
  15. Can't send you a PM - but wanted to say I like your blog Back on topic - Wicked Twister is definitely the LEAST larger guest friendly I've seen.
  16. I read that John Barrowman is taking over the reins. I personally love him and look forward to seeing what he does. Anyone know when the next season starts?
  17. Agreed I do have to say, although Circe is a royal bitch - she is delightfully good at the "game of thrones" - I love to hate her. But I have always had a thing for the villans.
  18. Thanks for posting Martin, these are great. I look forward to the rest! David
  19. ^ Jealous This looks like a great and unique addition to the park. With it's relatively small footprint, I could easily see it being added to other parks in the chain (with a different theme, I guess??) Perhaps they will become the Two-Face the Flip Side rides elsewhere!
  20. ^^ Saw that on Facebook last night. I'll admit...I kind of chuckled
  21. Thank you for the awesome report! It looks like they have done a great job with the actual Physical upgrades. I'm sure the Operational issues will work themselves out. As far as food service speed goes, other than a few instances I can think of - food service in parks is usually the most lackluster area of service. I'm not really dissing on the kids that work there (I did it at Six Flags when I was a teenager,) but it seems to come with the territory . David
  22. What a great trip report! Thank you for posting. This is on my "bucket list" of parks to get to.
  23. Thanks for posting your beautiful pictures! I absolutely LOVE Dollywood - planning a trip in July hopefully David
