  1. My crazy ideas . . . . . Six Flags America builds on more of the land they have available to have a Dark Ride and/or a Boomerang coaster
  2. When I was there last weekend . . . . I happened to look right as I was on Batman: The Ride and saw the sad boarded up state of Old Country And I've also noticed that the Batman Stunt Arena and Adventure Theater are totally vacant. Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing a nice indoor show on a hot summer day or a nice stunt show outdoors at night. I saw the land cleared out behind The Dark Knight (which I did like) for the Justice League: Battle for Metropolis Dark Ride. Anyone have any idea when it's supposed to open?
  3. It'll be interesting to see how the crowds will be (considering Batwing and Superman: Ride of Steel will be closed).
  4. You might be a coaster nerd if . . . . After riding a stand up coaster, your shoulders and/or your junk gets banged up . .. . . and you LIKE it!
  5. Thanks for clarifying (about why both sides couldn't be launched at the same time). And my recollection was the Batman side had more downtime . . . . . Overall, it's too bad the ride was a mess. If it wasn't . . . it might still be in operation?
  6. For those that have done the Justice League: Battle for Metropolis 4D Dark Ride . . . . . What's the ride like? Did you like it? How long did you have to wait?
  7. Then TTD would require a LOT more power to make it up that hill! What if you could re-theme a section of any SF park?
  8. Did Batman & Robin: The Chiller EVER run like it was intended to? (both sides racing each other)
  9. Yes I have . . . . last Saturday, I drove 166 miles (from Columbia, MD) to Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. Have you ever taken a solo road trip (over 2 hours) to any park this year?
  10. Wow I would have never called this. Doesn't Maverick usually do one million riders a year as well? Now that I think about it yes, Maverick usually does have one million riders each season, I don't have the final number for Maverick, I'll have to get back at a later time on that one. However I do know that Maverick was re-programmed early in the season this year which reduced it's already low (for CP) capacity, and it had lots of downtime. We joke around at CP that Dragster steals the show for most downtime but Maverick is down a lot too. What's the daily average ridership for Dragster? (assuming all available trains are running, etc)?
  11. Well . . . I'm asexual. I've always felt that way . . . even when I was younger and didn't know the term or what it meant.
  12. (If anyone knows this) . . . . so far, what coaster at Great Adventure has seen the highest ridership number this year?
  13. It's The End of the Word As We Know It - R.E.M.
  14. If we're all upside down . . . . then we'd be violating the laws of physics. What if one decided to "go commando" while riding coasters?
  15. A couple of Great Adventure related questions: The Haunted Castle (NOT about the fire, that's been discussed ad infinitum), for those that actually saw the attraction, what was it like? I'm sure it would have made an awesome Fright Fest addition. For those that work there (or have worked there in the past) . . . what have been some of your favorite moments working there?
  16. I noticed that 2017 will be the 100th anniversary of the Wild One . . . . I doubt this will happen, but it would be nice for the big anniversary for it to run backwards (Eno Dliw)
  17. Regarding El Toro . . . . What's the longest the line for it has ever been?
  18. This is more of a "Three corporate SF mistakes" thing . . . and yes, hindsight is 20/20 . . . . 1. Closing down SF Astroworld in '05 (which cost Kieran Burke big time) 2. The "War on Lines" at Great Adventure in '99 3. Taking on a load of debt with purchasing all those parks in the late 90's (Geauga Lake, Elitch Gardens, etc)
  19. My home park is Six Flags America . . . . here's how I'd rank them 1. Wild One 2. Superman: Ride of Steel 3. Joker's Jinx 4. Roar 5. Apocalypse: The Last Stand 6. Batwing 7. Mind Eraser 8. Rajun Cajun
  20. the Justice League: Battle for Metropolis 4D ride . . . . that's (partially) where Batman & Robin: The Chiller & Movietown Water Effect were? And I did end up making the 166 mile trek from Maryland yesterday
  21. How bad were ops at Rolling Thunder? more gripes . . . . regarding Six Flags America 1. Getting hand me down rides from other SF parks (Iron Wolf & Rajun Cajun from Great America) 2. Not buying more land for park ops (they'd have to deal with Prince George's County for more land) 3. No dark ride
  22. Right now in Maryland . . . . 55 degrees
  23. Here's some more for SFGAdv: 1. Not giving Rolling Thunder the RMC treatment (and well . . . I know the path to Zumanjaro is where RT used to run. But in hindsight, I think the path to Z could have branched off from Kinga Ka's path at some point) 2. Sealing off the Old Country area (I was able to get a minor glimpse at it while riding Batman: The Ride. I guess they could have a couple of flat rides/games there . . . or even space for a Bommerang type coaster) 3. Keeping Bizzarro closed in colder weather . . . .
