  1. Sure . . what the hell, I'll give VR Mind Eraser a go. And I've sat in rows other than the first two on Superman (and yeah, the line actually moving will be a plus, I wonder what the hours for VR on that will be?) and never had issues with my ears afterwards.
  2. I don't recall any gang fights or stabbing incidents at SFA, but I do remember the bomb threat last year. That said, I recall being told that apparently, bandanas are a no no there, as was the chain attached to my wallet.
  3. Do they ever make use of the second load platform for Ka? You'd think logically on peak days, they would . . . . .
  4. I'll be making the journey up from Maryland to GAdv at some point this season. Any updates on JL:BFM construction/projected opening date? (as I said before, glad they're finally making use out of the former B&R: The Chiller/Movietown Water Effect/Stuntman's Free Fall area)
  5. I'm excited about opening day at SFA on April Fool's Day . . . . who else will be trekking down there?
  6. I remember reading (after the fact of course) that Ultra Twister was going to be sent from the shuttered Six Flags Astroworld to Six Flags America, but it had been damaged in transit and ended up in the boneyard for a couple of years. 1. Where in SFA would it have been re built? 2. Whatever became of the ride?
  7. I like the concept of a Western Themed park . . . .
  8. Well . . . Old Country would (and could IMO) make a nice Fright Fest place
  9. Coastering late at night and cool September/October weather . . . . oh yeah (better than getting scorched in July/August) edit: Hopefully they'll extend Fright Fest to Halloween Night
  10. True . . . . I know when I go this season, I'll look forward to munching on some form of bacon after getting rock on El Toro
  11. Part of the turntable/drop from Typhoon Seacoaster/Skull Mountain still exists sandwiched between the Wild One and Apocalypse. And of course, if you look really carefully as you ride the first hill of the Wild One, you can see Hall Manor.
  12. The April crowds weren't too bad last year. The weather might be cooler (one Sunday I went, the temperature was about 45 degrees).
  13. How does Green Lantern rank in terms or ridership? (if no ones knows, that's fine with me) And why did they have it take the place of the highly regarded GASM? You think GL would ever be converted to a floorless coaster? (or would it be stupid to have 2 floorless coasters in one park)?
  14. For what it's worth . . . Blizzard River is a nice change of pace (as long as my shoes/socks don't get too wet), but it doesn't run early/late in the operating season because of colder weather.
  15. Assuming Vertical Velocity does get moved to SFA . . . I wonder where they would put it?
  16. Nice find . . . and nice concept. When was that sketched?
  17. Well . . . I missed the following coasters at SFGADv in my younger days (wish I had the desire back then to take the trip up there from Maryland) . . . Great American Scream Machine Rolling Thunder Batman & Robin: The Chiller Ultra Twister Viper
  18. I see the hours for April and May are already up . . . . I'll definitely be there on Opening Day
  19. As an overweight teetotaler, I need to know the name of the diet. Well . . . the program I'm on is actually a place I go to where I live called Physician's Weight Loss . . . I'm on a calorie restricted diet, and it's done VERY well for me (a year ago, I was 293 . . . now I'm 193.5). I eat more veggies, drink a LOT more water so on and so forth. And I allow myself ONE free meal during the week. But I don't really miss alcohol . . . . in fact if I never drink again, I'd be happy an content.
  20. Well . . . I'm inspired to crack a cold one (I haven't been drinking for over a year now, I'm currently in a weight loss program that will NOT let me drink alcohol. I don't mind though) next season at SFA But anyhow, what's your favorite place to chow down at your home SF park? For me (at SFA), I like getting the Chicken Strips basket at the Crazy Horse Saloon or something from Chop Six.
  21. One thing I'm worried about for next year. The head entertainment director went to SFGAm last year to square away their entertainment. Over the last two years the two top performers, with one leaving (Ilyana) after HITP, have gone to bigger things. The dance coordinator left for CA last year too. I hope the program doesn't suffer next year. I didn't know Ilyana had left (where's she going?). And who was the other top performer that had left? I know that there were some stunt performers that only appeared for like a month or so? I think Brad Irish was the entertainment director for '16, and I'm assuming he's staying for '17?
  22. So for those who frequented SFA this year . . . what did you all think of the entertainment? I personally liked the stunt shows (saw them every time I visited) and the performers.
  23. I like the spookiness of the crumbling Hall Manor in the woods behind the Wild One at Six Flags America. (anyone got or seen any decent pictures of it?) Of course, it was my favorite Haunted House during Fright Fest
  24. That would be awesome . . . . going on El Toro or Nitro after guzzling a few cold ones And have you ever actually seen someone CUI or CWI (Coastering under or While Intoxicated)?
  25. Thanks for the pics of Justice League construction. Glad they're finally making use out of the former Batman & Robin: The Chiller/Movietown Water Effect/Stuntman's Freefall area
