  1. Volbeat - A New Day
  2. Six Acres out of 1,200? So pretty much the size of a moderate sized public park then.
  3. Anybody else going to see The Hobbit midnight on Thursday?
  4. Having been right in the middle of the last two major earthquakes we've had in CA (at Candlestick Park in 1989 and 4 miles from Epicenter in Northridge in 1994) we've always been prepared for earthquakes. We have about 4 days worth of food/water stored in our garage and we always have a full propane tank on our BBQ. One of the things we learned after Northridge was that the BBQ's became important for eating the food in the fridge/freezer over the first couple of days (before it went bad). Also suggest to check your supplies every year or so to make sure everything is still good. We recently put in supplies for our cats and found a few things that needed to be replaced.
  5. ^ When I rode Roar in 2005 I absolutely loved it. But it hasn't held up well and the last times I rode it in 2010 and 2011 (respectively) it was absolutely brutal.
  6. Great stuff Chad. Really hope I can make it out there next year.
  7. If the game had all of those things you listed Robb, I'd seriously line up like those people did for Call of Duty 143 (or whatever it was). And I'd be totally fine with 3-4 coaster designs at launch as long as you also had the rest of the park that you could design as well. It honestly takes a few weeks at least to get the design aspect of any new game down (at least for me since I don't play as much anymore) and by the time you'd get used to the controls, hopefully some other designs would be available for download. The most important thing, as you said, is that the designs look good and work well. If you have 30 different designs but only 3-4 look good and work as well as they should then it's pointless. Roll out designs when they are done. Period.
  8. Least favorite, no. That would probably go to Talon or Silver Bullet. I also haven't ridden Montu so you have to factor that in as well.
  9. I find it interesting that Positive G's/Loops are pretty far down on most people's lists. Will be interesting to see if this changes next year with the additions of upside down elements on Hades, Rattler and of course the new Outlaw Run.

  11. I can help on the beer front: There are a LOT of local breweries and you will find that a lot of non-chain restaurants will have them on tap. When we were on our east coast trip we tried a lot of the local brews and most of them are very good. I know some of the posters on the east coast could probably make some specific recommendations though.
  12. This. A million percent this. Also, concerning the comment of new coaster designs that wouldn't be included in the original release due to the fact they haven't been invented yet, it'd be nice to be able to download patches with these updates instead of having to buy an entirely new game. For example, if something like Outlaw Run isn't possible on the games initial release, being able to download a patch that includes this type of coaster would be preferential than having to buy an entirely new game a year later.
  13. It's faded. The portion that was closer to Deja Vu is a bit darker because it was partially obscured by the sun unlike the other parts. At least that's what it looks like to me. Domm, Saturday is Toys for Tots but I still don't think it will be that busy.
  14. Hope my recipient received their packages. One was supposed to be delivered on the 4th and the other between the 4th and the 8th.
  15. Why would they build that dragon for only one night? That makes zero sense.
  16. That dragon alone is making me want to book a flight to FL right now. That is totally badass!!!
  17. 1) Dueling Dragons (Ice) 2) Dueling Dragons (Fire) 3) Top Gun (PGA) 4) Batman: The Clones (SFMM, SFOT, SFOG, SFGAdv, SFGAm) 5) Great Bear (Hershey) I have to be 100% honest, I wasn't really impressed with Alpengeist. It was one of my most anticipated coasters from our recent trip and it just was blah. We rode it a couple of times during the day, a couple of times during ERT but I just didn't love it.
  18. Last year WCB was over Presidents Weekend in February. Haven't heard anything yet but if it does happen I'm sure it will be awesome as usual.
  19. Tucker and Dale vs Evil OMFG ... one of the funniest damn movies I've seen in awhile. I had heard some awesome things about it but for one reason or another I just kept putting it off. Not sure why. Certainly recommended.
  20. I think a better comparison for the original post, if we are classifying SkyRush as Agressive would be SkyRush vs. I305. I305 is certainly intense but I find SkyRush to be much more "Agressive". Both are great though.
  21. Chrome on my home computer and tablet, IE on my work computer (unfortunately all we can use), Safari on my iPhone.
  22. Yeah, I don't think the Picnic area's are going anywhere. During the summer both are booked up pretty much every weekend and the one closest to HH is booked up pretty much daily due to picnic groups in the waterpark. SFMM has PLENTY of room for a new coaster if the park wants to get creative. They are only using about 1/2 of the available space that was available to them for Full Throttle. There is the Deja Vu/Slingshot spot, there is the ENTIRE back road of the park and of course there is a rather large parking lot available. There is also some room near Riddlers/Tidal Wave for a smallish coaster, the mostly un-used Batman Theater, some of the path for the Metro track and there is space in and around Gold Rusher. The park could easily add another 6-8 coasters without removing anything.
  23. I honestly wasn't expecting much out of them but I absolutely love them. I went from having to take anti-inflammatory medicine, going to physical therapy and wearing foot braces every night to not having to do any of it, and I attribute that to the shoes. They are very comfortable for running and walking. I've done about 210 miles in my first pair and they are still holding up pretty good. I have a 2nd pair all broken in that I will probably start using for running after my 1/2 this weekend.
  24. I've never ridden a slingshot so I'm excited to actually ride one.
