  1. It's not called being psychic, it's called being familiar enough with the park, it's operations and it's clientele to be able to make a well-informed guess as to what will occur when these new trams go into service.
  2. That is a great point about the licenses for bus drivers. While yes, the SFMM parking lot is technically Private Property, I can't imagine that with that amount of pedestrians and other cars that they wouldn't need a license to drive those buses. I also can't imagine me wanting to get on one of them if they don't.
  3. Honestly, it's not worth that for me so I'm likely out.
  4. I remember Schiltterbahn using them to get between the two parks, but I don't think that really counts (or if they are still using them).
  5. ^ I know they do the Knott's Coaster Run in March (generally the week after the LA Marathon) and I've heard that the course is actually going to go through the park next year. I know Joey did the USH one, but I'm not sure of when that was. I want to say it was around October?
  6. ^ I think he said he saw two. I'm trying to remember how many trams SFMM has now, but I think it's 3.
  7. IF they are new trams, it's about time. But these are obviously buses and if they are indeed the new "trams" then loading/unloading is going to be a LOT slower than it is currently. I just can't help but wonder if these are for something else. Guess we'll see eventually.
  8. ^ I know, It's like I just saw the money physically removed from my bank account. I'm conflicted though because I had such an awesome time at the Awesome 80's Run last year the day before the 1/2. But more bling is hard to turn down. Wonder if the times would work out enough to do both. I doubt it. However, with the 10k being at 6:15am and the Awesome 80's being at 8:30 in Pasadena, it's possible.
  9. Dumbo Dare comes to Disneyland 1/2 Marathon for this year!!! http://www.runkarlarun.com/2012/12/19/disneyland-half-marathon-dumbo-double-dare/
  10. Really? Only 2 coasters running 2 trains on a consistent basis is "running pretty well"?
  11. I had to skip the kiddie coaster at SFA because the seat belt was too short for me. Not sure how that was possible considering some of the other people I saw on the ride that day.
  12. I love the renamed rides, very cool touch. Were there other ones or were those it? I love crap like that.
  13. Wait, our visit in August was the "improved" park? That's a SCARY thought.
  14. ^ Didn't feel stretched out AT ALL. Granted, this is movie one, will be interesting to see what happens when it get's to movie 3 though. I actually felt that the previous LOTR movies should have been 2 movies each (especially ROTK) so I'm glad they are doing it this way so we can get the full story. They didn't gloss over any of the important plot points from what is really only the first 1/4 to 1/3 of the book. Being that the 2nd movie is the "Desolation of Smaug" and presumably movie 3 will begin with the battle of the 5 armies it will be interesting to see how they handle that. Hopefully the 3rd movie won't drag on like the last 45 minutes of ROTK.
  15. ^ More interesting than I hoped it'd be after the first half. I figured the Patriots were going to make a little comeback, close to within 14 or something, but 28 straight and tie it up was kind of nerve wracking. And people wondered why we drafted James when we already had two strong running backs. Now we just need to figure WTH is wrong with our punt receivers. You'd think they would have learned after the NFC Championship last year. Should be a great game in Seattle this week.
  16. The Hobbit LOVED it. Maybe even more than any of the previous LOTR movies. Overall, very faithful to the book. I only have 1 or 2 MINOR quibbles. Some stuff not from The Hobbit, but stuff that fit's in the story line well from the ROTK Appendix. "Riddles in the Dark" was absolutely amazing, just the way I always pictured it in my head. And the crowd reactions in this scene are just what you would have expected.
  17. Got Married at Circus Circus so it'll always have a certain fondness. But yeah, for the most part the place is a dump.
  18. Actually, that may not be the case this year. If you bought the $64.99 Gold Pass you have to activate it by January 6th, so a LOT of people may be going up that weekend to activate their passes they get for Xmas.
  19. ^ Nice. One of my favorites. Lacuna Coil - Against You
  20. Ben Folds Five - Erase Me
  21. Pissed that Volbeat is coming to SoCal next March and the only two shows they are doing are 18+ shows. This type of show makes absolutely no sense to me anymore. I'm still going, but my son is going to be quite upset.
