  1. It's going to be interesting, the Giants have not faced a pitcher like Verlander and a 3/4 combination like Cabrera/Fielder yet in the playoffs. The Tigers faced a Yankees team who, after seeing them in the ALCS one has to wonder how they ever got past Baltimore. All this talk about no momentum, I'm not buying it. Tigers in 5 or 6.
  2. Looks absolutely amazing. Our daughter originally wanted to go to Washington DC as part of her graduation present in 2014, we may have to change those plans.
  3. ^ Yeah, Pats are kind of surprising and the fact they keep letting teams come back in 4th quarters. ^^ Bills are really that bad. I mean, they made Alex Smith look like Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers combined. Then you see what happens when he plays against a decent defense the next week (Giants). I wonder if Mario Williams is looking at what the Texans are doing and kicking himself. I know I'd be.
  4. ^ Giants played great the last few days and while I was ok with them getting to the World Series, as a Dodger fan I will be rooting for the Tigers the next week or so. As for the Dodgers and A-Roid, if the Dodgers were still owned by McCrook i'd say it's a fair thing to discuss him coming to the Dodgers. But after the whole Manny mess and since McCrook no longer the owner, I can't see them making any kind of play for him. Plus, where would he play? Are you really going to put him in over an up and comer like Luis Cruz? You certainly aren't taking him over Hanley or even Dee Gordon at this point. What the Dodgers really need to concentrate on during the offseason is pitching. I think a full spring training/season with Kemp. Gonzales, Crawford, Either, Ellis, Ramirez, etc and the bats will take care of themselves. They've got Kershaw, Harang and Capuano as starters, Beckett will have to prove himself in Spring Training (is he a Free Agent?) and of course Jansen is a solid closer. Need at least one more solid starter and some bullpen help along with Belisario and Choate who are decent IMO. Not sure if they've got anybody coming up out of the Farm to help fill those roles.
  5. Was hoping to get one more FF visit in before the end of the year but if it's this busy we probably won't bother. Will be interesting to see if the park extends FF next year if it's becoming this popular.
  6. The door decorating thing is awesome!!!! Loving all the pictures so far.
  7. Now that we are a few weeks in, any surprises? I have a couple Cleveland Browns I've seen parts of most of their games (thanks to NFL RedZone) and IMO they are easily the best 1-win team in the league, may even be better than some teams with 3-4 wins. Most of their losses have come in close games (Eagles) and they have shown glimpses of good play. If you look at their point differential (-33) it's better than some other teams with more wins. I'm not going to say they are doing anything this year (or even next) but in the next 2-4 years I think they are going to be a team to reckon with. Minnesota Vikings Like Cleveland, I've seen a few of their games and they are certainly surprising. Don't know if they have any staying power this year but they are fun to watch. I'm really not surprised about the Saints/Packers. Both seem to be playing better the last few games but without defense I just don't see them doing anything. The Giants, 49ers, Bears in the NFC and Texans in the AFC can shut them down. If I had to pick a "favorite" at this point, if they can stay healthy, it's gotta be the Texans.
  8. Robb's rant reminds me of the attitude of a lot of Disneyland assholders. I know you've experienced those as well Robb.
  9. Looks totally awesome. Can't wait to see more.
  10. ^ Yeah, I can't EVER remember waiting much more than 60 minutes for Viper, even opening season.
  11. Aftermath is a TERRIBLE choice for the 30 minute Season Pass maze access. Most of it is outside and it's not going to be dark enough. It probably has the most capacity though so it does make sense from that perspective.
  12. ^ Nope. Despite the fact I used to be a big fat ass I've never been a huge chocolate fan.
  13. Here's what I don't get about the players: Most are saying that if there is no NHL season they will go play in the KHL or other leagues. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that represent a HUGE cut in pay even over the most low-ball offer the owners are giving them?
  14. It's currently showing a 30% chance of rain, shouldn't be a factor (other than Superman). Not sure about LL:DOD in the rain though.
  15. Since we don't have Hockey, the Stanley Cup will be in SoCal for awhile longer and will be at SFMM Sunday. From their FB page: The Stanley Cup will be at the Thrill Capital of the World this Sunday, October 21, 2012 from noon-3pm. Drop in, go big, and get your photo taken with the championship trophy. 16. ^ They've certainly proven that you can never count them out over the past few years. I'm sure NYG fans will be calling for Coughlins job sometime this year prior to them making a long playoff run.
  17. Are you saying you won't be able to go down the path in front of Mooseburger during construction? That's my understanding. Not sure if the path behind Mooseburger will be open. I'm going to guess ride parts are going to be stored where Flashback was or where they stored the LL:DOD pieces, meaning that entire area will be closed to allow for pieces to move to the site easier. But until it actually happens, who knows.
  18. The Start of Something Beautiful - Porcupine Tree (Working late tonight and was just in a PT mood ... have had them on shuffle for the past few hours)
  19. Jet City Woman - Queensryche
  20. I'm totally on-board with the Iron Man thing as well. It's funny what people will complain about. The other changes make our decision to not renew our AP's next year even easier.
  21. ^ The entire area is going to be closed down after FF is over, so yes, I'd imagine construction will pick up rather quickly after.
  22. See, that ride has been there for so long that I don't consider it rare. I have the credit (when I was about 5) and have a picture of myself on it for proof. It was Clown Coaster then though.
  23. ^ Me too!!!! Added a couple new ones this year.
  24. Wasn't the NHLPA supposed to have a PC at 2:00 (Pacific)? Guess they are still reading the fine print. LOL EDIT: Never mind. That was a Conference Call.
