TPR's 2012 China Trip!
Sir Clinksalot replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I actually get sinus issues on all of the flyers I've ridden so I can imagine it would have been even worse on this one. Not quite sure why that is. Still looks like fun. Thanks for sharing with us!!! -

Is it wrong to say that actually looks fun? -

Sadly I had to miss the ass kicking of one of my least favorite teams due to Back to School night. Any time the Cowboys, Raiders or Eagles lose it's a good day in the NFL!!! -
The BEST roller coaster view EVER???

I certainly can't think of any that are better. I'm sure the pictures don't even do it justice (nothing against the photographer ). -
Mumford and Sons - Ghosts that we knew Really digging their new album. Wish I could say the same for the new No Doubt and Green Day.

QFT. It's really unfortunate that the fans are losing out in this dispute. Without the fans there would be no money for the owners and players to argue about. In fairness, the Owners probably don't need the $$. Most have other ways of making $$ other than Hockey. -

^^ In N Out had their first location in Baldwin Park. That was the only distribution center for a LONG time but there are more now because they have locations in AZ, UT, TX, NV and maybe NM. I know they have a distribution center in Phoenix, not sure about others. I'm guessing they have one in TX now as well. I think the thing with In N Out is, they started in what, 1946 and only had around 100 locations in the late 1990's/early 2000's. They are now up to well over 200 and as others have said, it seems like it may have impacted quality a bit. -

Great TR so far. -
I contributed to Cupcake Quarterly Magazine. Why? A: It was being started by a great friend that I absolutely trusted would deliver a great product. B: It features hot chicks in awesome pin-up outfits. http://cupcakequarterly.com/index.html

Five Guys voted favorite burger chain

Agreed ... well, except for the Arby's part. We have In N Out a few miles from us and we go there maybe once a year. In fact, we had it the other night. It was good, best part is the Animal Style Fries and the Neapolitan shakes. I find it funny when my fellow Californian's get so defensive about In N Out ... almost more than Disneyland Fanboys. Almost. -

I've had 5-guys once, apparently I wasn't overly impressed since I haven't been back. I think I prefer The Habit. -
Started off my Halloween season with a few classic horror/thriller's Dracula (1931) Still an absolute classic movie. Bela Lugosi is classic in the lead role but I really think Helen Chandler is underrated as Mina. House on Haunted Hill (1959) Like the above, still an amazing movie. Vincent Price is amazing in this movie and it just goes to show you can make a horror movie without blood and guts. I Spit on Your Grave (1978) I actually remember watching this movie with my grandparents when I was about 10 years old ... WTH were they thinking? This movie has widely (incorrectly) been labeled as a movie that glorifies rape. I don't know how anybody could watch this movie and think that. The scenes are absolutely brutal and sickening, moreso than the "revenge" scenes that come later. Has some classic "revenge" killings if you can stomach the middle 1/3 of the movie.

^ It goes back to the "Substitute Teacher" mentality. When you were in school and you had a sub, you'd try and get away with things you normally wouldn't get away with. The same things are happening now, on pile-up's, etc. There have been quite a few helmet-to-helmet hits the last couple of weeks that haven't been called. Not only are the regular officials more experienced with the game, with the speed of the game, but they actually have a rapport with the coaches and players that cannot be replaced.
