  1. Full Circuit Premier coasters (actually MOST of their coasters): Back Lot Stunt Coaster (x3) Spaghetti Bowl (x6) Revenge of the Mummy (x3) Sky Rocket Powder Keg Runaway Mountain Superman: Ultimate Flight Vonkaputous I'm really hoping that the ride has some kind of water element as a tribute to Log Jammer with it.
  2. It's just amazing to me that SFMM used to have way more transportation rides than coasters.
  3. When we were at the park a few weeks ago a friend of ours from NYC came and joined us and used the bus. It was like $62 for the round-trip bus AND park ticket and he said it couldn't have been easier.
  4. ^ The tunnel isn't going to be big enough to fit two parts of track (ie a loop) unless they make it wider.
  5. ^ The entire chain is announcing on the 30th. As for where the tunnel is, it's essentially underneath the path to Superman, kind of under the restaurant there.
  6. I'm not doing the Disney 5k, instead I'm doing the Awesome 80's run in Pasadena the day before. Should be fun. Hope to see you all there at some point.
  7. Last I checked, $83,995,000 was quite a lot of money. Remember, that's PROFIT (after all expenditures, salaries, etc.)
  8. ^ That seems like a busier day than Sunday. Granted, I was only there for an hour but the park didn't seem very busy AT ALL!!
  9. There are reportedly 85 operational coasters in CA. Montezooma's is EASILY in the top 15-20 of those 85 if you actually sat down and thought about it.
  10. Montezoomas, despite it's age, is a VERY easy ride to maintain. Why would they take a tried and true ride, that has been there for 30+ years and totally re-do the launch mechanism? If it's not broke, don't fix it. Just because you "can" doesn't mean you "should". Knott's and it's mechanics are VERY proud of Montezoomas Revenge. The amount of love and care they put into this ride is very clear and evident. It's still one of the best rides in the park (one of the best coasters in CA if you sit and think about it) and it's still very popular.
  11. No. I'd rather have their Mouse, Disco or pretty much any other ride in that park other than Vortex.
  12. I can name at least 2 that aren't unique layouts ... Montezooma's Revenge and Boomerang. I'm pretty sure Corkscrew could be added to that but I'm not 100% sure.
  13. So if Leviathan didn't go to Knott's this year, why would people think something similar is coming next year? To me this indicates an entirely different approach.
  14. The one thing in Knott's favor building a big "Coaster" in the back part of the park is that area is already the most "Cedar Fair" part of the park so a big steel coaster wouldn't feel out of place there. Even if it was a Giga, it won't seem as out of place as Silver Bullet is/was in the middle of Ghost Town. The only way you are going to get a Giga is an out/back that goes all the way along the edge of the park along Western, backstage behind Bigfoot and then back. At least that would be the only "acceptable" way of doing it. I can't imagine they'd be able to build over Western.
  15. If you are asking what is the best actual "ride" of the Batman coasters then it's obviously the Batman clones. If you are asking what is the best "themed" Batman ride, I'd say it's the "Dark Knight" coasters at SFGADv and SFGAm. I enjoyed both.
  16. My newest desktop picture for my newest obsession.
  17. Even though we have a severe lack of Giga/Hypers on the west coast I actually agree that I'd rather them build something "different".
  18. They should send Bizarro to SFMM. Dueling Mirrored Floorless Parking Lot Coaster anybody?
  19. We were in line for Roller Soaker but decided not to wait. Guess we should have now.
  20. ^ Now that she's 42" I have a feeling that count is going to skyrocket next year.
  21. I've always found Indy to be highly overrated. Sadly they are closing two E-Tickets during a time period that will busier than the summer has been (at Disneyland anyway). They should have just closed Indy for the summer.
  22. ^^ Most of the other Six Flags parks (other than SFMM) I feel actually have a nice blend of flat rides and coasters. SFMM is really the only park I can think of that's severely lacking flats. Maybe SFA as well but that park has way more wrong with it than just missing flats.
  23. I think this would fit best near the DDD/Goliath area.
