Japanese Ride Catalogs
Gutterflower replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hey all just had time to get the next lot up. the following is a small booklet i got from Senyo about Yokohama Cosmoworld. home of Vanish and from what i hear a pretty cool log flume. I have some more cosmoworld stuff to come at a later date too. Cheers front cover The surrounding area looks pretty amazing too. Park map. Signature Shot -
Hello all. With the recent trend of showing off the random stuff you have in the recesses of your cupboards i thought i would dig up some of the more random pieces i have lying around. To start with I have scanned in a small brochure from a company called "Senyo". They have made a few of the rides you guys have visited during your trips including Vanish and Delphis. Theres a fair bit of writing in the images too but it explains the companies involvement in various projects. Anyhow I shall let the pictures talk for themselves. a few more of their rides. a few of more of their rides. the top right one should look familier The birthplace of Fujin Rajin 2 on the left and a picture of another japanese exposition. im not sure if this is the one that spawned expoland? Some proper old Japanese coasters the wheel i guess is the one that Vanish now wraps around? The now shut Kobe Portopialand in its hippy days Senyo are responsible for the nutjob shuttle loops such as the one at Mitsui Greenland Senyo seem to of done alot of work with Meisho on rides such as the one at Seoul Land and maybe the Thunderbolt at Dreamworld? This is the recently "in the news" Expoland A quick bit about their involvement in Festival Gate and Delphis the front cover

I too have a love hate relationship with this ride. I hate that i love it.... maybe im a sadist or something I remember first riding it on a CF trip there with about 40 other entusiasts and no one told me about the 2nd half. i was completely lulled into a false sence of security by the first half and the sloooow lifts Then all hell broke lose and it all goes a little blurry. its just something you have to experience. -

They are not quite clones. the first 2/3 of the rides are identical but DR is slightly different after brake run and the final section into the station is taken at speed its hard to find pictures of the bit after the brakes but in this one of DR you can see the ride drops and then rises before banking off screen http://www.werft72.de/jan/desertrace20070214_2.jpg and on this one of RITA you can see that the ride just coasts round the corner after the final breaks http://gallery.towersalmanac.com/displayimage.php?album=85&pos=2 -

from that angle the drop looks the wrong way round almost. as the pull out of the drop looks much tighter than the uhhh (Pull in?) at the top of the drop -

I love the "Double Coaster" advert. im assuming the reference of Interama SA is refering to Vertigorama at what is now Parque de la Ciudad in Argentina. Not a great reference as the ride never opened and has sat rusting ever since it was built -

/\/\ I believe when the Toy Kingdom shuttle loop opened it was the tallest ride in the world for a while. At least thats what ive read on a couple of japanese sites. Also Shane ill be interested to see what Meishio stuff you have. looks like you have older versions of the brouchures i have so i'll upload some later if they are different will be nice to compare -

Note: I do apologise for the fragmented nature of this post. I am editing as i research the coaster so i post as i find. http://www.thefirst.cn/73/2007-11-23/152334.htm This is the latest news update in China. unfortunatly the picture doesnt show alot. but someone with a mind better suited to the fishbowl effect might be able to figure it out. Howdy all Just came across this interesting new ride for 2008 at Beijing Shijingshan amusement park home of the worlds best imitation SLC and the recent Disney character scandal. http://rcdb.com/ig2906.htm looks like one of those old Caripro suspended rides... but with bigger drops. http://rcdb.com/ig4022.htm Is it me or does it remind u of a cross between Vertigo in Belgium and something from RCT? even better this is one of 2 coasters for next year with a new sitdown planned http://rcdb.com/id4028.htm
