  1. Well SFNE isn't terrible, it just has a lot of small issues Also Great Escape is probably the most ignored Six Flags park, so don't expect it to be all that great apart from a select few rides. Have fun on your trip!
  2. As much as the red-blue-yellow scheme has been representative of Superman, simple red and blue can be immediately identified and looks cleaner overall. I hope they implement this color scheme into more of the Superman coasters in the future!
  3. It was a joke by the way, not serious. If you have to explain something is a joke, you're doing it wrong. Man I really hate amusement park accidents, all they do is worsen good parts of attractions and make the park less trusted by people who don't consider all of the elements of the issue. And like most issues, parks fold under pressure to "please" their guests at their own expense.
  4. Wow, the AK trip report pictures are all wallpaper worthy! Great report overall!
  5. I think that this coaster is fantastic, but it may be called "underrated" due to people still being salty over the fact it's not a giga coaster lol. However, it will still be highly regarded and could be called one of the best wooden coasters in the USA for sure! I think it has perfect pacing, sustained airtime, and great force. The shed does seem somewhat disappointing (even after facing reality of what it would be) but it's meant as a way to conclude the already themed attraction in some way. Of course it could have been handled better in one way or another, but budget was clearly a concern so I'll pass over it. I think the only thing they could add to improve it is some lights in the tunnel, and some more rust paint detailing on the front car's gate. Other than that, I think this ride is quite a fantastic addition for KI and for once I'm excited to see a wooden coaster age visually (it'll look natural for its setting)! I hope CF keeps this quality attraction thing up!!!
  6. I know I'm the unpopular opinion but I kind of like the colors, quite interesting and vibrant! I hope it looks just as good to me in the next few months when I first visit, and I'm excited to try it.
  7. It is indeed going to be the return of the Big 6 Challenge. This news comes from a previously employed worker from the park, who wasn't so sure about telling me at first but let me know since he's not working there this year
  8. My apologies, I totally skimmed past that. I'll remove my image up there.
  9. According to California Coaster Kings, Riddler's Revenge will be repainted bright green and yellow supports... Source
  10. I absolutely agree. The rush of the wind (especially at night) is so amazing, and I love the laterals <3 I walked on two or three times for the back rows, and I was able to ride it with my hands up comfortably (apart for the MCBR snap, I hit my head pretty hard there).
  11. According to the drone shots that went along with the Mind Eraser pic, they have indeed removed the station fences from both sides. So my guess is assigned seating is not necessary anymore.
  12. I'm excited for the ride, and I saw in a video of the SFNE presentation at the Great Nor'Easter that they have some slightly different theming from the Great Adventure one, but then again the render looks like it's for another park (with a B:tR clone). We'll see what happens.
  13. Batman: the Dark Knight @ SFNE Bizarro @ SFGAdv Batman: the Ride @ SFGAdv Superman: Ultimate Flight @ SFGAdv Green Lantern @ SFGAdv Great Bear @ Hersheypark Valravn @ Cedar Point Raptor @ Cedar Point Rougarou @ Cedar Point Gatekeeper (#50!) @ Cedar Point = 10 B&Ms I'll be adding Nitro on this summer.
  14. Oh lord... not this again. You know the deal: I do my best, the answers may not be accurate. I may add them as I think of them. Here I go 1. What is the farthest distance you've traveled to specifically visit a theme park? Massachusetts to Ohio for Cedar Point (though I wouldn't call it a theme park) 2. Your favorite coaster in the state you live in? Wicked Cyclone! 3. Would you rather wait in line for a boomerang (at any park) or a VR coaster @ a Six Flags? Boomerang, the line is probably non existent and I don't like dealing with annoying people in line lol 4. Have u ever been the only person in a train during a coaster ride? I don't think so? 5. What is your favorite thing to do at your home park that does not involve riding something? Observing mechanical parts and devices on rides 6. Better time for ERT: Early morning or late night? Late night, it enhances the thrill 7. Name some theme park food that *sounds* gross, yet is oh-so-delicious? Fried Kool-Aid... (never tried it, but I bet it's pretty good) 8. Name your top three "bucketlist" coasters you have yet to ride. I know I have some, I can find them in a bit. 9. Have you ever been E-Vac'd? Did you receive anything if you did? Yes, off of Tomahawk (Huss frisbee), I just got an annoyed look from the mechanic 10. What is the longest length of time you've waited for a coaster? Two hours for Bizarro @ SFNE 11. Worst flat ride ever. Name it. #FlatRidesMatter, I do not stand for inequality! 12. Your favorite SWEET treat at a park that is NOT your home park. Candy? I don't buy a lot of extra stuff at parks other than a shirt or something. 13. Congratulations! After aggressively gambling on the Plinko game you finally won a front of the line pass. Which ride do you use it on? A coaster I guess, you didn't specify where I am! 14. If you could have a lifetime fast pass to ONE attraction what would it be? Something at Disney, let me think about this and I'll edit it later 15. Have you ever been next to someone that puked on a coaster? No, but I was behind a kid who lost his phone on the ejector hill on Maverick 16. Your home park is getting a new B&M and YOU get to pick what type. Do you want an invert/hyper/dive/floorless/flyer/wing/standup? All of the above is not an option. Hyper coaster 17. Name your favorite Vekoma. TBD 18. What water ride delivers the most unacceptable amount of wetness? Thunder Canyon at Cedar Point, holy God I had 100% coverage when I got off, I was not happy. 19. If you were able to help design a coaster would you want it to focus on airtime or inversions/positive G's? Airtime! I design coasters all the time anyway. 20. Most comfortable trains/seats for a coaster are... RMCs are pretty good as boxy as they are, I'll edit this later 21. Choose one: Unlimited front-of-the-line access to your favorite coaster at your home park for one season OR $1,000 cash? I'd choose the money, and be adventurous 22. You just got drowned by a flume/rapids/chute-the-chutes. Do you pay the $$ for the dryer machine or do you continue on with your day trudging around like soggy dog? I had to use the dryer after Thunder Canyon, and I was still wet afterward! 23. What is the worst food you've had at your home park? Chicken fingers. 24. You're at Cedar Point. You have a one hour ERT session on ONE coaster of your choice. You choose... M A V E R I C K 25. Favorite (non-clone) dark ride? I'll figure this out soon enough 26. What was your favorite park you visited in 2016? Cedar Point 27. What's your current credit count? Don't be shy. 67! Not too bad for someone who doesn't travel a lot! 28. Winner winner chicken dinner! You just won a trip with hotel and airfare included. The catch is its only good for Six Flags America or Mt Olympus. Which do you choose? Six Flags America, because there's more to Maryland than Six Flags 29. What is the best Intamin coaster you have ridden? Maverick 30. Your home park has to remove one coaster and one flat for an expansion. Which two rides would you be OK with losing? Mind Eraser and Joker's Wildcard 31. Song/music you've heard playing at a park that absolutely has not no business being played in a theme park? Pitbull, get that crap out of existance! 32. There's 5 minutes before the park closes. You choose to: Reride your favorite coaster in the park, OR get the new kiddie/junior coaster credit? Hard one, but I would go for the kiddie/junior credit as long as I can get on! Otherwise, I'd do a re-ride 33. Do you visit the waterpark if it's connected to the amusement park? Not really. Or no. 34. What 2017 addition are you most looking forward to? Depends. SFNE has Joker, so there's one. However, I need to think of one for another park too. 35. What was the most disappointing addition to your home park in the past 10 years? I'll get to this. 36. The most overrated coaster ever is... 37. What ride makes you wanna vomit? TBD 38. What is the best consolation prize you've won at a games booth? I've gotten a frickin' skateboard as a little kid at the Topsfield Fair with my dad! 39. And the worst? I got a few cheap snakes. 40. End this questionnaire by posting a picture of your favorite light package (coaster/flat). I'll find it.
  15. Then there are the coasters who fade and are famous for it, like Xcelerator. They repainted its supports only to keep the famous pink! But yes, there are sadly others that are the abused step children of the parks. My question is: why do parks put off such an important thing for so long?!
  16. Close enough. Edit: I rode Superman @ SFGAdv, and that was the scariest part for me (this was many years ago). I went again a few years later and had bad memories of the pretzel loop, so I was a little unsure about riding. I went on anyway because I just have a "the worst part(s) is/are over really quick and then it's fun" mentality when I ride coasters that intimidate me (usually new ones). Pretzel loops are probably one of the most unique elements you can have on a coaster, but sometimes its intensity sorts out the brave vs the meek and the strong vs the weak
  17. 1. What is the name of your home park? Six Flags New England 2. Do you own a coaster related T-shirt? Yes, I have a small collection that goes up two or so every summer 3. One park you would definitely never go back to is... None come to mind! 6. Have you ever ridden a drop tower taller than 200 feet? Power Tower @ Cedar Point 7. What is your favorite roller coaster? Maverick @ Cedar Point 8. When you go to a park three things you must have with you are... Watch, refillable cup, and patience.... 9. How many times did you visit your home park last season? Not enough 10. The first Intamin coaster you rode is... Skull Mountain. 11. Have you ever spent an entire day at a park alone? No. 12. The independent park you go to the most is... Canobie Lake. 13. Does B&M or Intamin make better hyper coasters? It depends on what you like, and I haven't done any B&M hypers (until Nitro this summer), so I'll say Intamin for now. 14. If it was free, what upcharge ride what you jump on right now? I'd say a Skycoaster or Slingshot. 15. What is the best food at your home park? French fries??? 16. The name of the worst GCI you've ridden is... Wildcat @ Hershey Park 17. When you're not riding something at your home park where are you? Home or school. 18. Name of your favorite ride that never leaves the ground (safari, train, bumper cars, etc) My brain hurts thinking about the boring place they call the ground, but I'd just say the bumper cars. 31. What ride makes you laugh the most? I usually don't laugh on rides, but Blizzard River or Pandemonium @ SFNE 32. How many RMC's have you ridden? One, WIcked Cyclone. 33. Best flat that goes over 100 feet is... S&S drop towers 34. When you are on your way to your home park what is one worry that you might have? Crowds and crazy people acting up. 35. Favorite park that is NOT your home park is ___________. Cedar Point! 36. How many different parks did you go to last season? Two. 37. The indoor coaster/dark ride you ride most often is... 18. ^ If anything, I think that Zaturn would fit best, but I don't know if Kanonen fits in the box. If it did, you'd still have some room left over!
  19. One of my parents just sits in a restaurant or shady spot and I go walk around with a friend. I have a watch and a reporting time, and follow through with that. I'd think that he'd be responsible
  20. ========================================================= Excuse me, say that again?!
  21. Can anyone get pictures of the drop tower site? I'd love to see what it looks like at the moment
