  1. In case anyone's wondering what it's going to be called, I've found a list of potential leaks for the name: Leak #1 Leak #2 Leak #3 These do make sense and will continue Cedar Point's naming trends in recent years. Please consider my information as Tony Clark is my grandfather's third cousin twice removed's stepson's ex-girlfriend's former roommate and has told me everything about the Mean Streak rehab but has urged me not to tell anyone.
  2. This ride like it'll have the sensation of speed similar to Beast or Millennium Force. I'm guessing it'll be one of the best 2017 coasters.
  3. Never rode the back of Rougarou but the front of it was smoother than any of the other B&Ms at CP from what I remember
  4. >Rougarou >rough I rode in the front two rows of Rougarou and it didn't come anywhere near rough or rattly at all. Hell, Valravn was rougher than Rougarou in one spot. As for intensity you're probably right but when it comes to B&Ms the front is usually the go-to row. Back row of inverts and a few other older B&Ms for me is an instant headache, floorless and other more modern ones are a little more manageable but still not as enjoyable as the front in most cases. A notable example is Wildfire @ SDC because the back row of that thing is fantastic (although the front still has one of the best views from the lift on any coaster ever).
  5. Maverick - very back Any of the B&Ms - front row Millennium Force - front row Magnum - 1-2 for no pain, 1-3 for extreme airtime and lots of pain. tighten seatbelt as much as you possibly can Blue Streak - front row Mean Streak - front row (lean forwards) Gemini - anywhere but wheel seats Dragster - front row as for food, anything but the Coasters burgers should be OK
  6. Riddler is definitely my new favorite flat. Titan may have jumped a spot above Firehawk since it wasn't quite as awful as usual when I rode it on Monday. NTaG was hauling and I have no idea why people prefer IRat or even consider it at the same level as NTaG. The airtime is way stronger than anything on IRat and the ride feels so much more complete. Runaway Mountain is also way better than I remember, definitely the best steel family coaster I've been on. Judge Roy in the front row has amazing airtime. ShockWave's operations were awful, 12 minute dispatches on average with VR. Luckily the ride itself is still amazing and was worth the wait. Mr Freeze was much more intense than I remembered but still hella fun. Rodeo is one of the best flats in the park as well.
  7. Coming to the hotel after a day of SFOT and getting to read more of this great TR? Hell yeah. I agree about Millennium and wish I had gotten a front row night ride, but had a very similar experience with a ride after and during the rain. It went from "very good" to "................ yes." As in, practically lost for words.
  8. La Vibora, Justice League, or Pandemonium are a good bet for hitting first as a small "plan of attack". SFOT is a pretty 53" friendly park with most of the major rides being 42" or 48", namely ShockWave and NTaG which are also the two best coasters in the park. I think Batman and Mr Freeze are the only major coasters with a 54" although if you're looking for anything specific their website should have it. also hang on hang on hang on I was just on the SFOT website and on the page for New Revolution on ShockWave, there's this: Did it always say this or are they using not terrible policies on this? Is it actually reservation based like CP? I'm confused. The VR at SFFT was just like the normal line but with VR and slower-moving. I thought all the SF VR was like that? Did they change it or something or is the reservation thing just bs?
  9. Yes. It's Texas and July. Are you going to an amusement park in the next three days?
  10. Am I not a big enough coaster dork to understand why this is "hilarious?" It's just so random I guess. It's not his best but still made me laugh
  11. SFOT on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
  12. Yes. Do you have any pets that are not cats or dogs?
  13. First ride of the day is always sluggish. We rode NTaG in the back row first ride of the day once and it was really slow. RMCs run best later in the day after operating for a while, just like any other coaster.
  14. I honestly found it to be one of the smoother woodies out there. It's no RMC but it was smoother than Thunderhead and much smoother than any out-and-back I've been on.
  15. The Cedar Downs are amazing and hilarious and better than some of the coasters. Plus some of the horses look hilarious too.
  16. Yeah guys we can just replace the launch with a lift and then it'll be this: This guy is hilarious.
  17. Saturday in August sounds awful. If there's any way you can, budget for a Flash Pass. I haven't been on a Saturday in August before but I have been on a Saturday. That was a Saturday in June and the forecast kept everyone away. Saturdays in late summer at almost any park are really packed without fail. Apparently the longest lines for the coasters are usually around 6:20 PM according to CoasterQueue, but I would expect hour waits. ShockWave will probably be awful with the VR. That being said you'll probably have enough time to do everything you want providing you optimize the order you do things in. La Vibora, ShockWave w/ VR, Runaway Mountain, and JLBFM will probably have really slow moving lines. JLBFM is the only one I know for sure has a single rider line as it was mentioned to me when I asked for advice about the park. However I haven't been to the park as a single rider before.
  18. ^the seat is 5-1, not 7-1 for Vortex GOT EEEEEEM jk In all seriousness if Vortex's restraint had locked in the position that Tennessee Tornado's or Corkscrew's had I would probably have hated it, luckily it was really loose and I got zero headbanging. It wasn't super rough either.
  19. A Saturday in August sounds like about the busiest possible day you could go, but luckily there's not very many "must-do's" for the park. I did everything I wanted to in 3 hours and that included a 90 minute wait for Justice League (although I didn't ride any of the clones, flats, or Ninja). Late in August is probably the best bet as school might be back in at that point (?) and any Saturday in late summer is probably going to be packed. Like I said you can totally "complete" the park even on a super busy day as the amount of rides isn't all that large.
