  1. As long as the coaster after it is fun, I don't really care which.
  2. Valravn, BTR (SFFT), Switchback, all of the new flats at SFFT 2016. Can't think of any others atm
  3. I have a very hard time ranking NTaG and Outlaw Run. They're both so ridiculously fun and feel like complete rides and along with MF and Maverick make up the true upper tier of coasters I've ridden. IRat is a little underneath this tier as it feels shorter and less consistent but is still one of the best rides I've been on.
  4. Ah yeah, you're probably right about SFFT's water park. Either way, try to fit in two days at SFOT, at least a full day at SFFT and a few hours at ZDT's if you're coming on a day when they're open. Even with a flash pass SFOT is a very big park and staying for two days gives the full experience.
  5. Road Runner Express, Judge Roy Scream, Runaway Mountain (that is, until my preferred park buddies went on it with me three times in a row on a completely dead afternoon, and then it became a universal hit instead of a guilty pleasure)
  6. An RMC shuttle would be amazing. Something along the lines of Mr Freeze or Switchback would be glorious considering some of the stuff RMC can do.
  7. I think two days at SFOT and a day and a half at SFFT (the half day could be spent at a water park) I think a half day at ZDT's is justified assuming you're in the San Antonio area on a day when its open. The park is super cheap to get into, and pretty much every there is awesome and worth the price. They appear to be open every weekend in March (it's never ever busy there) and open all week the 12-18th. I don't think their water park is open in March but if you go the last three hours of the day that's $12 per person and totally worth it. SFOT is definitely a two day park and SFFT's water park is worth about a half day just for Mineshaft and Six Chuter.
  8. The BBQ place (Old Blue's, I think) near the waterpark entrance at SFFT is pretty good. Definitely my favorite place to eat at the park.
  9. My favorite parks are Silver Dollar City and Cedar Point. Least favorite is a tough one since I haven't been to any "bad parks" per se, but I remember WDW Magic Kingdom being a bore when I went there as a younger kid. That was a very long time ago though, so I can't place much merit on that opinion.
  10. Nothing is worse than the Coasters cheeseburger. There's no way Johnny Rockets could be worse than that. Of course, the fried chicken and pizza around CP is usually the safer option when compared to burgers (this is a rule of thumb I've developed when it comes to typical park food and it usually works)
  11. RMC transitions aren't nearly as snappy as Maverick's (or i305's probably). I'm personally totally fine with Maverick not having lapbars. Poltergeist's transitions can be pretty painful if you don't brace yourself (my sister got a concussion during the Maverick-styled turn from hitting her head on the side of the car) and I don't really want to imagine how my neck would feel after a lap on a lapbar-only Maverick.
  12. I'm with you on that one. FoF takes the disorientation to a whole new level and it's awesome.
  13. I've been wanting to go for quite a while but haven't had the money or a valid excuse over SFFT (where I have a season pass) or ZDT's (which is super cheap). If I had the choice I would have been to SWSA already, but with the addition of a new coaster it pushes it over the edge. Many of my park buddies are Blackfish weirdos but will probably ignore that for a unique coaster type only a half hour away.
  14. Now I'll actually have a reason to go. I live about a half hour away but have never been. Can't wait!
  15. That's not weird or GP. Almost everyone who has ridden Coaster rates it very highly, same deal with Phoenix.
  16. I need to defend them about the 1 train operations. During Holiday events, it's very common for parks to pull trains. Since they're extending the season they still need time to rehab trains. At Great Adventure they pull a train off of all of the major coasters too, leaving 1 on Green Lantern, Superman and Batman and taking Nitro down to 2 trains. This also helps them keep trains weighted down in cold temperatures as the rides aren't always a major draw and prevents them from having to send empty trains at the end of the night when it's cold and a valley is likely. 1 Train is better than no trains which is what we used to have in December so I'm not about to complain. Yeah, SFFT's operations really aren't that bad. They've had some awful moments but are generally above average.
  17. I'm not a big fan of In-N-Out. It's "meh." I prefer Whataburger and Wendy's (and especially Dan's). The cheese at In-N-Out tastes like mustard and I hate mustard. I'd take In-N-Out over McDonalds, Burger King, or the Coasters cheeseburger at Cedar Point, but that's about it in terms of burgers I like less than In-N-Out that aren't completely forgettable (although none of these are really that bad except the Coasters cheeseburger)
  18. all of that, plus, you know, having employees show up to work on time and stuff
  19. I definitely agree. It has a killer layout but was definitely rougher than most other recent woodies. Raven also needs some retracking based on my ride in June. Other than that I would say that Raptor is most definitely too rough and needs the "better" vest restraints and for the inversions to be widened out so they don't create as much unnecessary force. no. raptor is amazing as is and I can't imagine a better inverted coaster. if you took any part of that statement seriously you should probably see a therapist or something
  20. I honestly do think going out of your way for obscure credits can be fun. I wouldn't pay thousands of dollars or anything but if there's a park nearby somewhere with a kiddie coaster and I'm with some buddies that enjoy coasters we might do it just for the experience. I'm definitely not bothered with count padding though, I've been to SFOT a few times times and never ridden Mini Mine Train, we also skipped all kiddie coasters on the Uber Midwest(ish) trip we did earlier in the summer.
