  1. I've read this question several times and still have no idea what you're trying to say. I'm sure that if you wrote in his native language, he would not understand you either. Love his location "not the US!" I may have the opportunity at some point in the next two years to visit the park. Is it worth going to just for the hyper, especially if I have never done one before? He is from Italy if you must know. Interesting. Always good to have a range of cultures and people around. And, yes, I almost asked where.
  2. Thanks for sharing. Interesting review of their new ride. Pretty much as I expected. As a person who loves really intense rides and fast launches, I don't think this ride is an excuse to make the trip down to Germany yet, but for the park it looks perfect, and very well themed.
  3. You know what. If another one of these rides suck, then yes, however, I still stand by my statement of seeing how this or the one at OWA actually ride, before writing off all of these Zamperla rides as terrible. They have make one of these rides, and it may not be very good, however I would suspect Zamperla rode the ride themselves, and have assessed how to make it better. Half of me is like this when I see these rides, and the other is like this (hopeful). Burn it down if this ride is bad, not because another ride is bad.

  5. ^ This ride is at Myrtle Beach. I think it uses magnetic braking from the videos, and the way that it brakes.
  6. I just wanted to share a really interesting interview session with John Wardley. It gives a really good insight about how Alton Tower and Merlin in general choose what rides they are going to build, and some very exciting concepts are discussed. The video also (although made in 2013) explains the way which, despite the way the rides are chosen, a wooden coaster is now being built at Alton Towers, despite the reasons why one has not been made in the past.
  7. Here is the on ride 360 4K video I took on ride on the Miami ride:
  8. So, it is May half term in England, and I am seriously bored with exams, and so, I am going out riding rides. May I warn you, these reports will not contain the most thrilling or exciting rides you have ever seen, but it is just a few days of rides and fun, you may enjoy reading. First stop was a local fun fair near me, that I just cycled down to. There was not much there. Really. Realy really. There was a Miami, a Waltzer and a tiny and pretty disgusting Crooked House ride, that ripped me off real good. Also, there were some dodgems. Overall not too bad, but at the same time, very underwhelming. These fairs are always really hit and miss, and I did not even get a new cred! I will try! Here are the dodgems. Pretty standard, but very fun. A nice guy gave me his token, saving me £3! The star of the show. A classic ride that will never grow old. Meh. A Miami ride is a Miami ride. I have actually been on this one two moths ago, but it is run on manual operation, so the ride was different. Back here. I love the colorful signage. This ride pulled some serious lateral force. Almost the same sort of effect as Stealth's launch. Check out the on ride 360 video I took for the ride cycle. Colorful facade. No pictures or riders. It is always awkward when there are small children about, so I am respectful about the pictures I take. This one seemed very well looked after. The majority of the time, I had the ride op giving the ride some massive spinning speed. A smaller version for smaller people. Inside the crooked house. The lovely elastic wires which smelt and felt like sweat and goo. It was seriously Disney style theming in here! Here is the view from the top of the house. Next stop, Wicksteed Park.
  9. Great report! Shame about the virtual queue not working. It looks like a great idea for a water park, and I guess the issues are just due to getting used to operations.
  10. If its on the internet, it must be true. Is that not the rule of life?
  11. ^ The El Loco designs are not the problem, they are great, the issue is screaming squirrels and Afterburner.
  12. Then a lot of members would not be here. What if two identical threads were made at the same time by different people?
  13. Awww. Nobody got the meme: Is this a 'thing' in America? I tried.
  14. Relevant to this topic, polo tower is being torn down soon.
  15. ^ Even so, my point still is relevant, as someone asked for a ride like this.
  16. What if the age limit to join TPR was raised to 40?
  17. 7/10, very true, and a large coaster count.
  18. Ok, But remember, there is also the fact the park still bought it, and my point is still relevant for Afterburner, which is one of the dumbest designs in the last 10 years.
  19. ^ If that is what yours looks like, I think you need to see someone!
  20. They are sweet. The ones on Taron are very brief, but make it all the better.
  21. Only two so far. Temple of the nighthawk, I had no clue what the layout was, but after the first minute, I got the hang of it. Corner...corner...corner...straight piece of track...corner ect. Still great ride. Secondly, Taron. Awesome coaster, and I had no idea what was coming next, even after riding it on my sixth go during the hour ERT. On my 7 and 8 go, I knew what was coming up, but it took a very long time.
  22. THAT FIRST DROP!!!!! HOLY MOLEY!!!
  23. Some nice videos about Mystic Timbers by Holovis. Shows lots of the detail behind the ride. EDIT: Why the hell was that last video there
