You used to be able to ride the flume at Chessington at 0.9m, however, I think after people standing up (or other reasons known to the park) they raised the height restriction to 1.2m. Good to remove queues, bad because it was a great ride for families. -
Worst Coaster Ever?
Henry M replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I ended up on the break run of Superman staring straight down at a pile of vomit directly below me from a rider on the previous train. My god, I don' t think a train advancing has ever seemed to take as long as it did that time. Did the same on Air at Alton Towers. -

It was a joke by the way, not serious. If you have to explain something is a joke, you're doing it wrong. I was being really serious when I suggested putting barbed wire around the perimeter of the rafts. (By the way, that was sarcastic). Well, thats the problem with posting a lot of dumb sh!t. When you try to make a funny/sarcastic post people assume you are still just posting dumb sh!t. This is the issue, but I am trying to not post dumb sh!t, and inject some humor into some posts and do some trip reports, but people still do not like it when I make a joke, yet when you make a joke or criticize someone like you have the authority of a page admin, everyone laughs. -

/\ By that logic, I can fit the ride on my garden, which would be awesome, but impossible. The queue itself would take up a lot of space, then add on plaza around the ride, buildings and the actual coaster, I do not think it can fit on one acre. Unless the stats of my garden are wrong. (I live in the middle of nowhere, so land is cheap).
-
^ Two things. 1, Accelerator is not on half an acre. It sits on at least 5 if not 10 acres of land. Secondly, to make the ^, look ubove your 6. If it is not there, then I guess you will have to make a V and turn it the other way around. Alternatively hack into your computer system and find the American Standard Code For Information Interchange code for the ^ symbol, which seems to be 94 if I remember correctly. Alternatively, /\ works fine for me, and we all know what you mean.

How a water ride should be themed vs. how a water ride would be themed at CP. Maybe a station building and a small thing in the water if you are lucky. -

^ They need something well themed, as do may parks. It would be so nice it badly themed but big parks could make some really well themed area, rather than just a steel structure. A log flume would be the perfect one to do it with. I mean, look at Chiapas. There is no excuse why a massive park could not put some effort into a themed ride. -

^ As I said, I have not been to Blackpool yet, I have a data in September to make a trip though. I only have one wooden credit, Balder. I need to stop talking about Backpool though on a Canadas Wonderland chat, or else I might get banned On another more relevant to the topic note, does anyone actually have a good review of the new ride, or is is basically one big disappointment? -

Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
Henry M replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hi and thanks. We live closer to Blackpool so I haven't had that pleasure yet. He just recoils from anything over 90 degrees in any direction - if he sees the U-bend on Behemoth the deal maybe off. He is getting braver and we rode the Big One a few weeks back, (preparation), and he forced himself on with the 'what is the worst that can happen' mantra, I'm not forcing anything though. I was the same at his age, absolutely no upside down. I wouldn't even ride if I couldn't see the whole track and had watched it go round to check for secret inversions. My dad finally persuaded me to ride the Corkscrew and I haven't looked back since..... ^ Corkscrew set me off on my coaster adventure too. I have not done Blackpool yet, but I doubt Infusion would be a good taster coaster for inversions. Not smooth. -

^ If you want to get him to love inverting coasters, get him on Rage at Adventure Island before your visit if you have time. It is the perfect coaster to get people over their fear of inversions. It is small, has a loop and twist, and in the UK. I don't know if you live near by to the park, but it would be worth a visit if you have never been, as it is a good park, and would help your son to have a better day at CW. You may know the coaster well, but if you do not, it has a height restriction of 1.2m and it is not mega intense (but it still has a bite), here is a picture. That is about as much as I can help. Have a good time! Rage, a small coaster, which should get him over any fears of steep drops, and inversions, meaning he will have a better time. -

^ Sweet video. Really well done, hopefully the attractions will be as well executed then we could be in for a treat. -
Oh! This is not a thread for the NHS! Phew. I guess it is an american thing.

Pretty self explanatory really. Why do you come onto these forums and join in discussions. For me, it is because it is nice to feel a sense of acceptance into a community of people with similar interests to me, even if I don't get along with people, it is still nice to talk to people about rides and rollercoasters and have a joke. I also enjoy writing successful trip reports which other people enjoy and maybe benefit one or two people along the way. What is your reason for being here?
