Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Thanks people. I may never get to ride it, but it is nice to understand this coaster. From what I have learned, it seems to be one which people find rough if they don't 'understand' the ride. That is fine. I would probably call it jolty. But I also get it that it is part of the ride. Interesting. -

After seeing your side profile of RMC Streak on the first drop in your second update, this ride is no doubt going to have a 90 degree first drop. In order to accommodate that and based on the lift hill angle I really think we're going to see a 250 foot drop, followed by some pretty quickly circuited elements. Awesome photos and thanks so much for sharing! Coastermania seems to be the *THE ULTIMATE* Cedar Point event to attend if you want legitimate ERT. 14 straight rides on magnum without getting off... it hurt so good Does it beat you up due to the fact it is an extreme and violent ride, or just because it is rough? -
^ It would have sounded better, but would still be scrapped. What if a Cedar Fair park was made in the UK?

^ Oi! I can take s**t from the people higher up, but not from you. There is no need to continue to insult my opinion even after someone else, who has far more power has already said something. Yes, I KNOW Expedition GeForce is not tall enough, but it is still a massive coaster, which follows the same type of rules of a hyper coaster. When I get on a proper one, it will no longer be counted as a hyper by me. As for the alpine coasters, I KNOW a alpine coaster with a 200ft+ drop is not a hyper coaster. I would not even count it as a coaster full stop. Lots of this is opinionated. For example the discussion on what is a coaster, and what does not count. Everyone has their own ideas, and different views. There is no strict definition of a rollercoaster, but my definition will may different to yours. That is life. So, please could you not insult me. Leave it to the people who know what they are doing. By all means I do not mind being told I am an idiot or have something wrong with me from Mr Larrygator, or Mrs Shark Tums, or Mr Alvey, or even some of the "big player" members on here, like Mr Coasterbill and Friends. But not you.

^ A number of options could happen with mack rides. The Blackpool coaster may be spinning as well. Who would have thought the mack megacoaster in Australia would have the back row backwards. Who know, this coaster may have backwards seats too, or even sideways seats! -
Still have very nice flash backs remembering just walking around the area, with the perfect soundtrack encapsulating me in a magical Mexican world. Beautiful.

I'm surprised there are any left. I thought Brit and I inadvertently ate all of them while riding Millennium Force in the front row. And I thought Thorpe Park was bad will all its small flies, but if it is FAMOUS, it must be bad. -
Thanks. I must say, even I was impressed with that one!

Wow! Just look at them all! Every one of them is terrible! What would we do with out compact, cheap, and 6 inverting rides? Oh, wait, many small parks would struggle. Also, TRON, that gets aweful reviews...nope, it does not. Seven dwarfs mine train is also rubbish...nope, it is a great family coaster. Also, those family suspended coasters, never have people and small parks had to suffer so much until parks bought them...wait, they are forceful, compact, and have great restraints. You gave me a list of really good coasters which fit the park requirements.

^ Yes, I had to change it! But Wiki splash is still very good and one of the wettest I have been on. This shows it quite well.

As this has been pointed out before. . . Yes. We are most likely looking at a vertical drop. This is the most insane coaster I have ever seen made. I feel we might be looking at something MORE special than just a vertical drop. If it launches, I would guess it will roll at the crest of the hill, and when it levels out, it will hit vertical, then continue to the bottom of the drop. That is my speculation of today over. -

I thought the same thing. However, then I remembered Adventures Island was borderline no allowing me to take pictures of the rides with my camera, but that was mainly due to children and stuff, I would imagine a thrill park like this would have no issues with it. -

^ Cobra no longer exists. -
BOOM! You get my logic, however, it is not, because it does not feel like one. You would not come off and go, "possibly in my top three hypers" however, I feel it can work the other way around, so Ex G for me is my only and top hyper. It is how I imagine one to feel, so until I get on a real one, that is staying as my top hyper.

I thought a similar thing, especially if they are going to duel. It would look cool, but I know which side I would rather be riding! -

Is it about the level of Saw: The Ride? It is rough, but tolerable, and I don't come off wining my head hurts, but it is not smooth.
