  1. Wow, I knew this place was desolate, but I had no idea it was this bad. I couldn't help but notice that there was almost no one there, so I went through and found that there were only 60 people in all of the photos you took (That's being generous, if I was ever doubtful, I just counted it anyway), and 60% of the photos had no people pictured. Nice report.
  2. Does anyone actually have proof for this? I've seen it talked about so many places, but haven't seen anyone actually show anything to show that it's true. I can't help but believe that it's just a number enthusiasts came up with to sastify their want for hope of a new coaster. Like, has anyone even seen proof of this? It seems as if everyone has just heard it from someone else, without seeing any evidence.
  3. Seriously. What is this, the 4th incident at a park in the past week?
  4. How did they forget they were hosting an ERT session, like how does that even happen??? Does this park really suck at being a park that much? This seems like a place that I need to go to just to see for myself how bad it is (And to ride Goliath and the Log Flume, but mainly the first reason). I'm still loving the report, and looking forward to the following installments.
  5. Yeah, bad few weeks for parks. It's interesting that they aren't releasing which ride it occurred on. Regardless, hoping for a speedy recovery for all those who were involved. Now, let's try something new and just wait for the offical report to come out before speculating about every possible aspect of the accident that none of us know anything about.
  6. Dorney Park and Six Flags Great Adventure got B&M's the same year back in 2001 and they're only about 100 miles from each other. I really don't believe that this rule exists. I don't think they will add two coasters of the same type too close together in ten years. SFGA got a hyper coaster in 2001 and DP got an inverted coaster. Also, SDC got Wildfire in 2001 and WoF got Patriot in 2006. But, Patriot might've been earlier if SF St. Louis wouldn't have gotten an inverted coaster in 1995. I think this rule is one of the main reason SDC was rumored at one point to get a B&M Invert next year because Patriot is ten years old. Carowinds and Six Flags Over Georgia (Which are only about 20 miles farther apart from WOF and SFStL) got inverts in 1997 (Batman) and 1999 (Afterburn). Also, Great Bear at Hershey, Batman at SFGAdv, and Talon at Dorney got built in under 10 years. I don't think the 11 year pause between Batman and Patriot means anything.

  8. WOW! Those images are stunningly realistic. I'm not sure if they're in-game screenshots or if they're concept art, but it doesn't matter, because it looks amazing in either circumstance.
  9. Great job! This game really seems to be the NL2/RCT mix we have all been waiting for for all these years. I'm super impressed with how this is looking (Both this specific ride and the game in general). Looking forward to the video! Planet Coaster with Alpha/Early Bird access is $75. But, you can get the game for $30, you just don't get to play it until it's officially released. If you go to their website, they have a section called "Price Matrix", which explains what you'll get for the different prices. Just go to the home page and scroll down a bit.
  10. ^Now there's an idea I can get on board with. Those tornadoes are a ton of fun, and I can only imagine how much more fun it would be if you were to throw a coaster into the mix.
  11. I was just there last Friday, and while the lines were longer than an average weekday, they were probably only about 5-20 minutes (Maybe around 30 for High Roller and the Mouse). Valleyfair is a smaller park, so you shouldn't have much of a problem with getting on everything if you stay until close. My recommendation, make Renegade the last ride of the night. It's fantastic at night (And if you have the time, just spend the last ~hour marathoning the thing in the back because it's amazing and way better than anything else at the park).
  12. You can now vote for InvadR's logo I happen to be quite fond of the shields.
  13. It appears that earlier today 3 children fell out of a ferris wheel at the Greene County Fair in Tennessee. Article: http://wate.com/2016/08/08/3-people-fall-from-ferris-wheel-at-greene-county-fair/ Photo Source
  14. Renegade at night in the back row. That thing is spectacular at night.
  15. I took a few at Valleyfair when I went last Friday. I had a bunch of photos not turn out, so I'll have to go retake them and then I'll upload them, but until then, I have these: Flying Eagles Ride Sign Flying Eagles Northern Lights Northern Lights Ride Sign Enterprise More Enterprise Ferris Wheel Power Tower As for the actual wording of the index, I noticed a few errors: - Mild Thing is closed - Park Guide mentions Hydroblaster and the Log Flume, both of which are closed. - Austin Blue’s doesn’t exist anymore, but mentioned in the park guide - Stadium Pizza & Grill is gone, replaced by a Chickie’s and Pete’s I think it would just be good to say that food is standard with that of Cedar Fair parks. I’ll look around next time I’m at the park, but I don’t recall seeing steak bites or walleye at the restaurants. - Linked website in the “Operating Season” part of the index brings you to an FAQ page now, hours can be found at https://www.valleyfair.com/hours-directions/valleyfair - The link in the “Nearby Lodging” part of the park guide should be replaced with this: http://lodging.valleyfair.com/hotel/list/6555/m3204 - For the shows, none of the shows currently in the index exist anymore, at least not under the same name. All Wheels Extreme was added this year. I’ve heard that that the Acafellas, an acapella group, are pretty good, but have never caught them myself. Also, there’s Beach Band, a small marching band that wanders through the park occasionally. And finally, there’s Restoration Revue, that plays songs that were popular in the last 40 years (Haven’t seen these guys for myself, either, but heard good things about them). - The Imax theater is gone as well, for the shows. Hope this helps, I'll have more sometime, but really have no idea when
  16. ^Yep, anything by coasterbill and the Alvey's are amazing. I'll add Andy's (TheGreatZo) and Kyle's (KBrylczyk) trip reports here too, all of their trip reports are really good reads. And Andy's photos are outstanding. Password121's Recent midwest TR is extremely well written, as well
  17. Wild Thing about an hour and a half ago. Must've just missed you, VF15!
  18. I thought that Cedar Fair was smart enough to not put VR on a sure-to-be popular ride?
  19. Do you have the link to the permit? I'd like to see it. It was posted a few pages back: https://epermits2.logis.org/permits/permitdetails.aspx?city=sh&permitnbr=SH084910
  20. Bill, you need to post more trip reports! Somehow I didn't see this when it was first posted, but I just read through this thread and it's fantastic. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming trip reports. I've never really payed much attention to Montu, but over the past few days I've just been watching videos of that thing over and over because I can't believe that B&M did that. I know there's only so much you can pull out of a POV, but holy crap that batwing looks insane.
  21. If you're going to CP, and need a cheaper hotel, go to Comfort Inn River's Edge in Huron. It's like $70 a night if I remember correctly, and it's nicer than some Hampton hotels I've stayed in.
  22. ^^Never have actually seen a map of the height limits of the area, thanks for sharing that! ^I agree, Windseekers are beautiful rides, in my opinion, especially at night.
  23. A World record-breaking swing would have to be over 400 feet tall (To beat SFOT), and I don't think that the height restriction would change that much throughout the park, would it? I would expect something around the 300 foot range. We know they can't build higher than 275 feet, They say it on their website. What we don't know is whether or not this is true throughout the park.
