  1. Sad, that ride looks really fun. I could imagine it being the best of the Arrow Suspendeds. It would be great to see it relocated, but that could be some wishful thinking.
  2. Great PTR! Glad to hear more Magnum love. I was there on the 6th and 7th and couldn't get enough of that ride....it kicks ass and I think that it's been called "overrated" so much to the point where it's become underrated. I loved MF the most though. Funny you mention it being rough, I remember getting off of it WISHING that Darien Lake's S:ROS could be that smooth
  3. Lol, It's my least favorite coaster as well. It gave me a fear of wood coasters that lasted four years....I was scared they would all be like that.
  4. I'm not sure why, but Viper seems to be having a bad year. I've never gotten beat up on it before like I did this year. The trains have no padding on them, and they could really use it (even like Cedar Point's Corkscrew has, would be better than what Viper has). It's still the second best coaster in the park though, IMO (our line-up is just THAT BAD lol). Quite frankly i'm fed up with Darien Lake though.
  5. I was there for my first time Sunday and Monday of this week. I miss it now . Anyway, the only long lines I noticed were MF, TTF, and Raptor, all of which were at least 45 minutes the whole time. All were running maximum trains (no suprise there), and the lines moved fast. Mantis's wait was the only other semi-long one, and that never got to more than half an hour. And yes, the third train was sitting in pieces....but I could imagine how bad it would stack if they used it. A lot of good coasters (Magnum, Blue Streak, Gemini, Wicked Twister, Wild Cat), didn't have waits of over 15 minutes the whole trip. I love Cedar Point's operations! Even that little Corkscrew had three trains going.
  6. Everytime your little sister sees a Boomerang or SLC, she recognizes it and bashes Vekoma for lack of Variety.
  7. Yeah well, not when it's busy and runs one train....which i've seen happen too much this year (it's always that or S:ROS, running one train at the most inappropriate of times!).
  8. It's funny, but Darien Lake's is in the only "themed" section of the park. "Metropolis". It's a pretty crappy attempt at theming, but it's better than anything else we've got.
  9. ^^^Certainly you don't mean the S:ROS's! Although you're pretty much right about all the other Supermen.... A lot of the older Arrow/Vekoma loopers seem to fit this category. The older ones, while they may be smooth(er), have horribly out-dated, SHORT layouts (except maybe Loch Ness Monster and Darien Lake's Viper, which both are over 3,000 feet). The newer ones, while longer, are still poorly engineered and cause pain to the human body. I've heard Tennessee Tornado is different, but that's like it's own generation of Arrow looping coaster. I don't think we'll be seeing anymore of those problematic Vekoma Deja Vu's or Flying Dutchmen, either. The Flying Dutchmen have just been out-spoken by B&M. (I've been on Batwing, and you're laying on your back WAY too much for it to even be called a "flyer").
  10. Nicole Richie. There, I said it. Of all the people who don't deserve to be famous, she has got to be the most annoying.
  11. Well, they are basically the same exact ride. I really didn't find much of a difference with all the right turns becoming left turns and so on. SFDL's is really picturesque over the lakes. It's the better one to ride during the day, IMO. The thing rattles....and the restraints make it worse and worse though. SFA's is over an ugly field. But, unlike SFDL's, this one is pitch black at night. That makes it way more exciting to ride at night. SFDL's has lights on the major hills, which may look cool, but it's much more fun to not have any IMO. I found this one to rattle just as much as SFDL's, but the red isn't as faded so it looks sharper.
  12. Haha, more like half a day.....most of which would be spent waiting in line for an SLC. (Me and Darien Lake have a love/hate relationship)
  13. It's similar to what happened to me. I didn't even want a myspace at all, and then, as a joke, some friends made one for me, but filled it with wrong....and offensive....information. Luckily, it was friends and they gave me the e-mail and password (after I flipped out on them!), so now it really is my information. Still it sucked, they had people believing lots of things that weren't true.
  14. I think it's Bubble Yum....but it could be Dubble Bubble or Bubblicious....one of those "block" ones. The Cotton Candy flavor. It's so good. It's too good, and I actually *eat* it sometimes, like you'd eat Jelly Beans. I'll just end up swallowing it before it loses it's flavor.
  15. Space Mountain, FL Rock n' Rollercoaster, FL Tower of Terror, FL Dragon Mountain, Marineland Batman: The Ride, SFGAm
  16. I love Ginger and Mary Anne. I also love Ron Toomer.
  17. Darien Laker: A Ale Drinker Naked Railer
  18. I've only been to three.... In coasters, it definitely goes SFGam, SFA, SFDL. In atmosphere....SFGAM, SFDL, SFA.
  19. Step By Step Credits.....Colossus, Revolution....and you can see Viper in the background during the "sea-side" clip at the end.
  20. I wasn't an "enthusiast" yet when I went to PCW, and I had a blast at that park. I remember recognizing how Top Gun and Bat were the same as Mind Eraser and Boomerang, but still riding them. I can see why this park would be rated so low by people on this site, but it really isn't horrible. They really do seem to lack a signiture coaster though.

  22. "Well Meg, It seems that guys can marry other guys now, and well if they can do that, that's pretty much it for you, might as well pack it in." -Stewie
  23. Darien Laker Darien Lake has always been my homepark, so it just made sense. The picture in my avitar is Viper at that park, and I chose that because it's the coaster that broke my "fear" and got me "hooked".
  24. Drew Well it's Andrew. But Andrew is too...."proper" sounding. I went by Andy when I was younger too, but there was another Andy in my class, so I went by Drew.
  25. Here In Western New York, we've been hitting 80's and 90's this past week. It really kinda sucks, it's actually more fun sitting at home in the AC than going outside. Not to mention working in a Restaurant Kitchen....ugh. Brutal.
