  1. I agree, I drove from Cleveland to Kings Dominion about 7 1/2 hours and it was completely worth it, with some good music to listen to and the scenery you pass time can fly by. Now with Fury 325 being built Carowinds is a very possible park I might take a road trip to next year.
  2. New blog entry on CP's Website https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog-article/online-fun/The-Rougarou-Files?mobile=0 The best sentence in that blog "Oh, and you'll get an answer to that heartline question." I still wonder how the figured out to get it to work. I'm just assuming that because floorless trains sit higher it's the equivalent of standing up since stand up riders vary in heights anyways.
  3. Just this morning I had the joy of getting Maverick by myself first thing in the morning. It was great!
  4. True, I'm in line for Millennium now and it's just 20 minutes.
  5. In line for another ride on Mantis right now, you know a ride isn't that good when only a handful of switchbacks is being used on the last day. I'm looking forward to the conversion. Oh and the painting is complete.
  6. My best "stuck" story is 3 friends and I were on TTD and after our launch a computer glitch happened so when we hit the brakes no trains had left the dispatch station. We only ended up sitting on the brake run for about 10 minutes then normal operation resumed. Nothing to eventful.
  7. Definitely: Cedar Point Kings Island Waldameer Hopefully: Canada's Wonderland Six Flags New England Six Flags Great Adventure HersheyPark Holiday World
  8. Rides I've had all to myself. Raptor: Cedar Point Ravine Flyer II: Waldameer And my most cherished ride was first train of the day on Intimidator 305 all to myself back in June.
  9. Phantom's Revenge without a doubt, and also it's the only Morgan hyper I've rode. Like someone else stated the POV doesn't do justice to how much airtime there actually is.
  10. I'll be going on Sunday this weekend, I will also be trying to receive one of the last rider passes for Mantis. In the past month I've actually taken about 6-7 rides on Mantis. It's nowhere near my favorite coasters but I never though it was terrible.
  11. I've yet to experience Knoebels but my favorite that I've been to is definitely Waldameer, that park has such a friendly staff and has so much charm.
  12. Most Excited for: 1. Wicked Cyclone 2. Fury 325 3. Twisted Colossus Hopefull I'll get to to ride Cyclone & F325 next year with WC looking like it's going to be RMC best creation. Also my home park is Cedar Point so I know I'll be riding Rougarou next year.
  13. Superman: Ultimate Escape @ Geauga Lake!
  14. On Millennium Force, Dragster, Magnum, and sometimes Gatekeeper they do NOT allow loose articles and you'll have to get a locker. On everything else there ARE bins for loose articles or they'll let you put your articles on the other side of the station.
  15. Millennium Force at Cedar Point!
  16. I've just upped my personal best on this past Friday, got 34 rides in a row on Raptor. Gotta love the short lines on Friday nights in September.
  17. First was Batman: Knight Flight
  18. I agree with this 100% My personal bests Banshee 12 times in one day 8 in a row. I-305, 6 times in a row about 10 in one day. Ravine Flyer II 26 times in a row. 29 the whole day.
  19. I'm a HUGE fan of the music going up the lift on The Beast, especially at night it just sets a great tone for the ride!
  20. I love them, just as others have said they give me the opportunity catch great topic or a TR that I might have missed through regular browsing.
  21. Mid-September crowds are usually really light, you won't need Fast Lane. Yes, Magnum's 3rd train is running again. And lines for all the major coasters close 8 minutes after parking closing time so in the case of the 20th, 12:08.
  22. Count me in the crowd thinking it's going to be a re-theme with new trains. Did I hate Mantis? No, I've gotten 2-3 rides in this year and I'm gonna ride it a few more times before it closes. But was it anywhere near my favorite coasters? No, I find Mantis to be a little bit of fun but I'm not exactly sad it's closing either.
  23. I was lucky enough to be on the last train of the SEASON on Ravine Flyer II last night!
  24. Hey everybody I'm thinking of heading to Hersheypark on Labor Day, how are the crowds usually on this Holiday? I've never been before so I'd like to ride all the coasters and get a few re-rides in if possible.
  25. This year is the biggest for me adding 36 credits to the count. This summer is really my first summer as an enthusiast with first visits to Kings Dominion, Busch Garden's Williamsburg, Kennywood, Waldameer, & Conneaut Lake Park!
