It's probably not even remotely possible without completely gutting the building and nearly starting from scratch but I'd love to see the Magic Kingdom version of Peter Pan upgraded to the ride system the new version in Shanghai has with the 2 row vehicles to double the capacity. If anything in Fantasyland I would think Philharmagic would be the next thing to go, but even that attraction probably helps with capacity on crowded days.

I'm pretty interested to see what happens with the old T2 location, seems like that location could go a lot of ways depending on if they demo the whole site or re-purpose the theater in it's current form. I always liked the T2 show even though it was incredibly dated, so if they were to develop some kind of new live action stunt show I could see it working well. Whatever it is there's a good possibility it will involve 3D glasses......

^Eh, I don't know if that's entirely true. There are a ton of families who vacation pretty regularly in the Myrtle Beach area, it's a pretty popular spot as far as I know. I never visited any version of Hard Rock Park but seems like it just might have been the wrong kind of property in the wrong place at the wrong time. I'm interested to see how well that Owa property in Foley/Gulf Shores area performs the next couple of years. I feel like that type of mixed commercial/amusement property might have been a better fit than a full out POP daily admission park.

Yeah Sunday was a pretty fun experience even if the game was borderline unwatchable at times. The Buffalo fans were a lot of fun to be around and certainly added to the excitement. When we pulled into our normal lot to park there were Bills fans EVERYWHERE but once we were inside the stadium it leveled off a bit, seemed like it was probably 70/30 Jags Bills. We'll see how it goes next week in Pittsburgh, as well as the jags offense was playing in the middle of the season they're in a slide now. Probably gonna take more than 10 points to beat the Steeler's and I'm not sure if the offense can do it. -

The story I read was that 20% of the re-sale tickets were sold to Western NY zip codes not necessarily 20% percent of the stadium. I know down here the tickets made available after season ticket holders had their pick sold out in like 2 minutes. Then they opened up an additional 3200 or so tickets (upper deck section usually under a tarp haha yeahI know) plus an additional 5000+ standing room only tickets which also sold out in a few minutes. Either way it should be a packed house and exciting atmosphere, I'm just hoping for an exciting game to go with it! (and by exciting I mean Jags by 20 ) -
Looks good, that main room is stunning in pictures and I can only imagine it in person. Quick (maybe dumb) question, is this an entirely new building or something that was re-purposed/renovated from the Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island days? I can't keep straight was what was torn down and what was kept. Looking forward to some pictures/review of the Edison that place looks right up my alley.

I'll have a teal beer in your honor at the stadium, Go Jags! (also report so far, I love BGT and REALLY need to get back over there sometime) -

I mean buying some fairly cheap trains from a defunct park isn't the craziest idea I've ever heard, especially if S&S can manufacture a 3rd if they wanted. -

I guess my mid-season playoff predictions were pretty close, missed one in the AFC and 2 in the NFC. As much as I want to see my Jaguars be a Cinderella story I think't they're gonna have a tough time making it out of round 2. I'm gonna have to take the Patriots in the AFC and in the NFC I kind of like the Rams. They're playing well, defense is dominant, Gurley is a monster and Goff has been pretty consistent. Other than Newton and Brees and Matt Ryan the other 3 QBs in the NFC are unproven in the playoffs so it should be interesting. Speaking of Jaguars, yeah yeah I know there's no much confidence in them outside of Northeast Florida but the playoff buzz here in town has been a lot of fun. The game sold out in like an hour and they even released standing room only tickets that sold out. Standing room tickets are going for like $250+ on resell sites which is just crazy to me. Should be a fun atmosphere on Sunday and I can't wait, even if we are playing Buffalo. -
I've been trying to get Flight of Passage fast passes everyday at the opening of the 30 day window for like that past month and have yet to find one available. Sometimes I even look on week days when I know I can't go just to see and still no luck. I guess the only way to get one is as a resort guest booking 60 days out. Sometimes I wonder to with the fast passes for newer attractions if they just considerably limit the number they distribute as way of just managing the crowd better while an attraction is still insanely popular. When the Frozen ride opened I remember waiting in the standby line once when it was posted around 120 minutes but only took like 50, and during that time there were barely any people entering through the fastpass line. This was also when it was impossible to get fastpasses in the 30 day window, but now there are plenty available 30 days out (just booked some today). Maybe flight of passage is kind of in the same situation for now, maybe not who knows? I did get Navi River Journey 30 days out and we're planning to standby for FoP at the end of the night, so hopefully we can finally get on that thing.

I've seen this show in a few locations including New York but the energy at the performance I saw in Orlando was incredible and by far the best performance of it I've had to date. It really felt "special" seeing it there and I'm kinda disappointed that I can't make it down there to see it again this weekend. I love this show so much, I think it's still my favorite musical. If someone gave me a choice of free tickets to either Hamilton or Book of Mormon I'd probably see BOM for a 5th time than Hamilton for a 2nd. Actually, I'd take the Hamilton tickets, sell them for double face value, then buy tickets to Book of Mormon instead .

I think sometimes when an attraction goes down for an extended period of time they still honor the fastpasses from that period when it re-opens which throws off the standby wait times pretty significantly. Last weekend when I was at Magic Kingdom Space Mountain was closed for about 80 minutes, I had a fastpass for that period of time that I could either save or use for something different. When it re-opened I was at the entrance and jumped in the standby line thinking it would be short and I could use the fasstpass for something else, walked all the way into the station next to the control tower, then waited probably 40 minutes because they were only merging in maybe 10 standby guests to every 150 fast pass guests because the fastpass line was backed up halfway to the enterance. Same thing happened earlier in the day at Jungle Crusie, chatting with a cast member near the load platform the ride was temporarily closed to inspect some lighting so when it re-opened the fast pass return was spilling out into the midway. We were using fast passes and still probably waited 30+ mins so I'd imagine the standby line at that time was 90-120 minutes easily because of it.

I may have made this comment on a previous report or twitter or something, but as great as this place looks all of the pictures of it seem so dark. Does it feel more vibrant in real life? Still looks amazing, just kinds dark in photos (which I guess works pretty well for the dino themed section). That kitchen tour looked awesome, behind the scenes stuff is always so interesting that I almost wish that was an actual attraction or up-charge tour experience!

I'm a little late to the discussion here and know your original post said your intended to avoid Studios because it's a mess right now (which is mostly true), but depending on what your final schedule is it's pretty easy to get on Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster in a reasonable amount of time, especially if you go at opening (on a non morning EMH day). Rock N Rollercoaster has a single rider line and Tower has pretty decent capacity. If you got lucky and landed at FastPass for either Avatar attraction and whatever else you are interested in at Animal Kingdom attractions later in the afternoon, you could pretty easily hit ToT, RnR, and maybe Star Tours in like under 2 hours before heading to DAK for the rest of the day.

Cool to see the different treats mixed in, I've only been to the Christmas Party once I think and seems like it was just cookies and hot chocolate so that's a pretty cool bonus. I've never had as much interest in the Christmas party compared to the Halloween party but looks like I need to check it out again.

Just wait like 10 more years, if global warming keeps up at it's current rate there will be Christmas events all over the country in 60 degree weather. -
