TPR Cruising on the Disney Magic!
Hilltopper39 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've always wondered if Disney has ever considered bringing an Animator's Palate style dining location at any of their parks or resorts, it seems like it would be insanely popular anywhere they decided to offer it. Then again it's pretty cool that's it's an experience that's exclusive to the cruise ships. -
Robb & Elissa's Oktoberfest 2017 Trip!

I'd love to see one of these launched infinity coasters stateside some day, no clue what the cost/capacity etc. of one of these is compared to a standard model eurofighter but I could see one of these being a huge hit for a ton of parks. -
Remember, one of the main entrances into Toy Story Land will be from that street so that area will actually probably be VERY busy when the new land opens. I was talking about south of the Toy Story Land Entrance down towards where it used to intersect the Streets of America. I guess it's walled off now as a dead end past the existing Toy Story Mania entrance, maybe they'll just move that dead end north. Or the character meet n greets stays open where it is maybe nothing changes.

Yeah, I've been to BGW way back in the day but never to Dominion, next year looks like a nice time to hit em both. And with the elephant picture, just be careful out there man, first it's a harmless step into the mulch to pose next to a beloved elephant and next thing ya know you're breaking into defunct roadside attractions to take pictures for your alias urban explorer instagram page. It's a slippery slope, and the danger is real.

I'm curious to see what they do with the existing Pixar Place street in the Studios park once the new Toy Story Land and the Mickey Ride and everything else is eventually open. That area will be pretty dead without the entrance to Midway Mania and the character meet n greet. Toy Story land looks phenomenal though, really excited to check this out eventually.

There used to be one on Main Street, is that something different now? -
A site that shall not be mentioned was reporting that this ride system is 100% absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt CONFIRMED to the be ride system for the Guardians of The Galaxy coaster at Epcot. I don't know if that is true or not but seems like an interesting ride vehicle that has a lot of potential. Should be interesting.

Back in 2014 I think, The now defunct website Grantland.com published a piece about Jeff Henry and the founder of Wet n Wild "The Men Who Built the Great American Waterpark". I loved reading the piece 4 years ago, the author's description of Henry at the time made him sound like kind of a loose shoot from the hip fun kinda cowboy “What’s really interesting about my family is, we don’t really work for the shareholders,” he said. “We actually work for the people who buy our tickets …”, but looking back on it comes off a little differently. The article is still available, check it out if you want. grantland.com/features/the-wet-stuff-verruckt-waterslide-schlitterbahn/

That RCCL Coco Cay upgrade looks amazing, I haven't been on a cruise in a while, and haven't taken the kids on one yet, but that's exactly the kind of feature that would entice me to consider one for our next vacation. Speaking of kids and cruises, just generally speaking does anyone have any good or bad tips for cursing (edit: cruising) with younger kids? What's a good age to take them on their first cruise? Mine are coming up on 3 and 6 so we figured we're probably getting close.

I kind of forgot about the new Raiders stadium being built. Our new goal is to make it to 1 Jaguars road game per year so whenever Jag are at the Raiders we might have to make the trip! -
That's not true, I bought a 4 day FL Resident ticket earlier this year and you can book fast passes 30 days out after you purchase it online just like any other ticket, you do have to pick the tickets up at will call but once you do the Fastpass+ you reserved ahead of time are synced to the ticket you receive.

Looks like a great venue, kind of amazing that Vegas hasn't had anything like this until now. Between hockey, basketball, concerts, events etc. I'm sure this place will stay booked all the time. -
Yeah not surprising at this point but a bit disappointing. I always factor in parking when considering resorts in Orlando so that's jut another benefit that's out the window. Then again the last few trips we've made it's been so easy to Uber to the parks and back that it makes on site transportation not as beneficial as it used to be.
