Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
Hilltopper39 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A kids wave pool AND kids bowl slide, are you kidding me? This is amazing, that kiddie bowl slide is going to be the coolest thing in the world to my kids, they'll be all over that thing. -
The ole Bourbon and Hot chocolate, a Fall/Winter weekend morning staple for us Kentuckians, glad to see the delightful combination is gaining appeal outside of the bluegrass state haha. Seems like when I think of the holiday's at WDW the studios comes to mind after EPCOT and Magic Kingdom but these seasonal offerings looks really amazing and might be worth checking out.

I still don't have a clue who is actually good this year. I mean I think the Patriots will figure it out by the playoffs and be their usually self but they have struggled early, especially defensively. I guess my at this point playoff predictions are as follows AFC: Patriots Steelers Chiefs Texans Bills Jaguars/2nd team in AFC West (maybe Jaguars, hopefully? Please? this division is a toss up really, but the schedule is pretty favorable for 8-10 wins which might be enough for a wildcard, maybe win the division) NFC: Eagles Vikings Rams Saints Seahawks Panthers/Cowboys I guess my Superbowl pick would have to be Patriots vs Eagles, but it's still early and I'm not sold on anyone yet. It has been a fun year to be a Jaguars fan though, now if we could just win a game at home sometime... -

I can't imagine riding that thing after a few steins, would have to go on it before visiting the tents. -

I know Dragster had some insane lines in it's opening year, with breakdowns and stuff I remember lines easily being 4 and 5 hours. The first time I got a ride on it it was closed all day then reopened maybe 1 to 1.5 hours before park closing was scheduled. People were had been queing all day while it was closed waiting for it to open so the que filled immediately when they opened it. I got off it at like 1 am and there had to be atleast another 1.5-2 hours of people in the que. -
This years event looks great. I love Halloscream and honestly have always preferred it to Horror Nights. Awesome night rides on great coasters, really cool atmosphere since the park itself is dark and densely landscaped, and great houses. It always felt like the scareactors at HOS put more effort into it and have more fun than the one at HHN do to.

A friend of mine who is a huge Browns fan (bless his heart) just sent me that, pretty good deal all things considered if you're going to the game anyways, and a nice incentive to if not. Also, note that the offer is for NEXT week's game, October 1st against the Bungals, who are also terrible right now so that game should be awful. -

I've heard nothing but great things about the smaller Gravity Group coasters like Wooden Warrior and Roar-a-Saurus so I'm sure this ride will be a perfect fit. I'd love to visit this park with my kids if I lived in the area. -
^Hahahaha. Interesting development. I've been to a few "museums" in recent years and it's no secret that those experiences are kind of stale and a tad dated, so I'm all for anything that breathes some life into them and adds some crossover appeal to people who might not normally attend for the football only.

I was interested to see what they did with the shining house to see how they portrayed that film but it looks like they nailed it. When they announced the Blumhouse attraction it seemed kind of lazy to me like they just said eh lets just throw in 3 random movies into one house. I've never seen any of those movies but seemed like that attraction was getting quite a bit of buzz on social media, I guess it worked.
