  1. ^ Considering that Canada's Wonderland and Carowinds have received B&M giga coasters along with their hypers, I would not be surprised if Kings Island goes the same route.
  2. Gatekeeper - Cedar Point
  3. Backlot Stunt Coaster at Kings Island was a pleasant surprise for me. It packed a decent punch for a ride that's only 45 feet tall. The launch felt more intense than Flight of Fear's, and I actually had a partial grey-out in the opening helix. Also had some decent laterals. Wicked Twister at Cedar Point was an unpleasant surprise. I'm usually a fan of impulse coasters, but this one seemed rougher and less intense than the other two I've ridden (Steel Venom and Vertical Velocity).
  4. I bought this t-shirt at Cedar Point this morning, and I noticed this unnamed B&M dive coaster on it. Am I looking too far into this, or could this be a hint about 2016?
  5. Blue Streak at Cedar Point (1964)
  6. Dragster was down for at least 80% of today. I don't think it ever stayed running for more than 20-25 minutes. I feel very fortunate that I finally got to ride it around 2:00. It's a shame that it has so many problems since it's an amazing ride.
  7. It seems like Dragster can't go more more than 10 or 12 launches without having technical difficulties, which is a bummer because it's the only non-kiddie coaster credit I don't have yet.
  8. They said that Dragster would have a lengthy delay. Not sure exactly how long that means, but I hope they can at least get it open in time for Platinum Pass ERT tonight. Edit: Never mind, just saw people on it!
  9. Ugh, I just missed a Dragster rollback by two trains . At this rate, I'll never get to ride.
  10. Granted, but they turn Mean Streak into an RMC kiddie coaster. I wish for Top Thrill Dragster to reopen (I'm in line for it and it's down for mechanical problems).
  11. Dragster is only loading 10 people per train right now. Is there a reason for this?
  12. I'm still predicting that 2016 will not bring a new coaster because the planned new parking lots plus a new coaster seems like too much to expect in one year. Right now, I think these are the most likely possibilities for 2016: 1) Second phase of the waterpark expansion. 2) 40th anniversary celebration with small new flats. 3) Large thrilling flat ride.
  13. Yep, those were the rides that were closed yesterday evening. Gatekeeper and Raptor both reopened later, though I didn't ride either because of the lines. Dragster started testing just as I was leaving the park , though it might not have opened at all because there was lightning soon after.
  14. Winds are currently 18 mph with gusts up to 32 mph (via National Weather Service). Winds will be calmer tomorrow so I'll probably wait until then to ride TTD. I'm in line for Millennium Force right now. Front or back?
  15. Rougarou at Cedar Point. Great ride!
  16. Just arrived at Cedar Point, several rides are currently closed due to the high winds (including Top Thrill Dragster ). So far all I've ridden is Wicked Twister, which was very fun. The wall of coasters near the 2016 construction site has been updated through Iron Dragon.
  17. On Diamonback's brake run a few minutes ago during early ride time: "Son of Beast was The Beast with a loop".
  18. Yesterday in line for The Bat at Kings Island: "We will be taking you upside-down not one, not two, not even three, but exactly zero times!"
  19. If you visit on a slower day like I did, there isn't even a ride host working that post. So I could just walk straight to the desired row like any other coaster. As of 5 pm today, I was able to choose a row (chose the last row) for Banshee. I'm guessing it's because the line is shorter now than it was in the morning.
  20. ^ They were unfortunately assigning rows on Banshee, though I asked to wait for the front row. Banshee itself was awesome! Quite forceful, doesn't let up, and no rattle! Definitely somewhere in my top 5. 9/10 I'll post a full trip report later, but here's the rest of my day so far: -The Bat: My first Arrow suspended coaster and I liked it. Nice drop, decent forces in the turns, and mostly smooth. 6.5/10 -Vortex: I thought I would hate this, but it was actually semi-decent. Some headbanging, but nothing unbearable. My favorite part was the double loop. 6/10 -The Beast: Slightly disappointed, but still an all-around great ride. Great tunnels with some nice laterals. Could be insane if it weren't for the trims. Will definitely reride it at night. 8/10 Going to ride Diamondback next.
  21. ^ I already rode it in the front row so I'll make I try the back later today.
  22. Banshee at Kings Island. Awesome ride!
  23. Quick question: I'm in line for Banshee right now. Front or back?
