[PC/RCT3] Valley Hills
VF15 replied to JonnyRCT3's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I still think it will be a B&M, but now I'm thinking it's going to be a flyer because that's what most clues seem to be pointing to now. -
Terrible act on AGT. Would you rather live in Death Valley or Antarctica?

Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
VF15 replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Best: Kraken. I really loved the tunnel section followed by the corkscrew. They are relatively forceful moments considering that they are right near the end. Lamest: Spongebob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge. I like this ride as a whole, but it seems like the only purpose of the post-MCBR track is to get the train back to the station. -
I did see this on Screamscape, even though it is from a while ago: The latest word from the Screamscape rumor mill is that Dorney Park could be finally planning on adding a large new coaster to the park for the 2015 season. Where will it go? I’m told we may likely see Dinosaurs Alive removed and sent to another park to make room for it. I agree that Dorney could definitely use a GCI because they lack a solid wooden coaster, but I haven't heard anything about markers or land clearing, and at this point, it unfortunately might be too late.

Your 5 year plan and predictions for any park
VF15 replied to adamd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Valleyfair 2015: Waterpark expansion with a Snake Pit-like slide package, a ProSlide Tornado, and WWW mat racer, plus the removal of the Panic Falls slides, and Hurricane Falls gets repainted. 2016: A Huss Giant Frisbee replaces the current Amphitheater. 2017: A B&M inverted coaster is built behind High Roller. It is 3,300 feet long, and has 5 inversions. 2018: A Zamperla Air Race is built in Tilter's old spot. 2019: A Mondial Windseeker is built under Wild Thing's turnaround. 2020: Excalibur is removed, and is replaced by a Premier Rides launched coaster (Spaghetti Bowl-type coaster). -
You Might Be A Coaster Nerd If....

...you enjoy takeoff on a plane because it has a bit of g-force. ...you hate seeing cartoon drawings of roller coasters because of how unrealistic they are. -
...never to be settled again. Meanwhile, DarienLaker mysteriously came back to life, and for several years, he rebuilt Darien Lake in it's entirety in a location not far from the original Darien Lake. However, right after he finished building the park...

Game: Careful What You Wish For

Granted, but it runs away after only one day. I wish my home park would announce it's new attraction already. -

^ When Valleyfair announces something, they seem to like to announce it out of the blue (example: Route 76). There might not be an official date for Haunt announcements, so just hang in there for now. -

I saw something similar to that when I was at the park in early June, except it was white, as shown below. I don't know exactly what it's for, but I guess it has something to do with the waterpark expansion. -

^ I agree with you for the most part, although, I could see Ripple Rapids (the lazy river) staying because every good waterpark needs a lazy river in my opinion. I'm sure that regardless of what the waterpark gets, it will make the place look unrecognizable next year. By the way, when can you spill the beans on the 2016 rumor? All of us will be dying to know. -

Sounds like some sort of a B&M to me. Maybe a hyper coaster? -
What are some loud rides and coasters?
VF15 replied to JFrombaugh's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree, Wild Thing does have quite a loud lift hill. Depending on where you sit, it can sometimes sound like a jackhammer. This might just be me, but all old Arrow coasters I've ridden have relatively loud lift hills. -
Parks Coasters and Rides in Movies and TV
VF15 replied to spike's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Valleyfair appeared in the baseball movie Little Big League. The main character and his friends rode Corkscrew and The Wave. Other rides such as Enterprise, Ferris Wheel, and High Roller can also be seen. Corkscrew in the movie. -
Have you ever been on a coaster in the rain?
VF15 replied to socalMAN123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've ridden two coasters in the rain: Kraken at SWO, and Corkscrew at VF. The rain stinging my face was painful enough that those were two of the times were I wanted a ride to end sooner. -
Smoothest Coaster You've Ridden?
VF15 replied to TheDark8's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
X-Flight at SFGAm. There is not a single bit of roughness on that ride. -
Intamin, who created a giga coaster for SFDK. It's name was Falcon, and was regarded as of the world's best coasters, but it was soon forced to close because a few local members of PETA did not approve of it being named after a bird. Falcon was relocated to Valleyfair, where...
