I wouldn't be surprised if Excalibur and Renegade go down for high waters considering forecasted rain this weekend. Cause that water is already EXTREMELY high right now. Depending on how much rain falls, the park will be lucky if Excalibur, Renegade, and Thunder Canyon are the only things that close. But on the bright side, I've heard Venom's holding break being off is temporary due to some technical difficulties a couple days ago. So hopefully it will be back on in a couple days.

Buy fast lane! Upgrade to Gold Pass! Get the Meal Plan! Get the Souvenir Drink Cup! Theme parks are loaded with advertising. At least Cedar Fair doesn't wrap their coaster trains with gum ads. And be thankful the ad in the dog show isn't one of those Sarah McLachlan ASPCA ads. And the ad plays over a set change.

Came here to give a shout-out to Muddy Cow. A restaurant with a handful of locations around the Twin Cities including one about 2 miles from Valleyfair. Some highlights: -2 for 1 happy hour all day, everyday -2 for 1 pizzas all day, everyday -$5 burgers on Mondays

On Monday night, after getting off a shift at Valleyfair, I had to go to Muddy Cow for their $5 burger Monday special. I enter the building to find a group of about 20 getting seated before me. Whatever, the burger will be $5. I can wait for it. I'm seated. I order. My burger comes out about 8 minutes later. The EKG Had my old standby in an egg burger--known here as the EKG. Absolutely delicious and the fries were almost orgasmic.

Nothing ruins the appetite quite like finding a bug crawling around the pan I was going to cook dinner in.

A woman wearing a banana costume came to ride Delirious last night while I was working it. I asked her if she found the ride appeeling. I also have been crosstrained at Valleyfair's own Ste.Ven: Steel Venom at everything but controls. So now I know positions at three of the park's coasters: Mad Mouse, Venom, and Delirious ( ).

I know it's been mentioned on here before about just how close HQS will swing to Joker, but now that it's open, has anyone gotten a good picture of just how close it gets?

Film

For me, Solo was meh. It existed, but barely seemed to have a reason to exist other than to fatten Disney's wallets. The marketing for the movie was meh and the only reason I saw it was because it had the Star Wars tag on it. And at the same time, I am quite curious as to what Lord and Miller's original vision for the project was before they left the film.

That's not fair. And where ARE all the Dr. Who Major-Awesome-OMG Attractions ETC in the World....? Somebody needs to get on that. I think I remember hearing plans for something in some proposed park in England. But as popular as the show is this side of the pond, I wonder how well a Doctor Who themed attraction could work, or who could even get the licensing for it.

I, Mr. Anderson, purchased a DVD copy of The Matrix for $5.
