  1. Wow, kind of surprising to hear. Didn't the park say they would have a no tolerance policy towards that kind of stuff?
  2. That's not surprising. The way people play with those test seats probably causes more wear than neccessary. At Hershey, I saw kids (who had no reason to try it other than for "fun" because they were either too short to ride or could easily fit) playing around with both the ones for Great Bear and Storm Runner.
  3. Nice photos. In the first picture I see there is a sign up about a test seat for Nitro but it looks like there isn't a test seat.
  4. 2nd choice. I buy them once in a while especially if I see them on clearance after a holiday like Easter or Halloween.
  5. Hershey Park Morey's Piers Gillian's Wonderland Pier Playland's Castaway Cove Fantasy Island (Long Beach Island/Beach Haven, NJ) Out of those Hershey was the best.
  6. I really liked the die cast ride vehicles as well. I think I have almost all of them and they were inexpensive (for Disney souvieners) and fun to collect. I wish they hadn't discontinued them.
  7. Interesting, I hope it works with green head flies too. I spent most of my summer at the Jersey Shore and I got bitten by them almost every day I was outside for a long period of time. It got to the point where you couldn't even sit out on the beach because you were getting bitten so much.
  8. I remember that episode. That was the first episode of Wild and Crazy Kids that I ever saw. It became one of my favorite shows but that was my favorite challenge out of them all the shows I saw.
  9. Rattler must have been the wooden coaster I remember seeing then. It's weird how back when I saw the movie for the first time years ago I never even gave a second thought to what coaster or park it was at, now it seems interesting to learn what coasters and parks were used in these movies.
  10. I think it works if you are determined but it doesn't seem like something that I would ever want to try. I don't think I could give up stuff like bread, and other high carb foods. To lose weight instead of giving up everything unhealthy, I had my own plan and tried to change what I ate without giving up everything. Like I still eat cookies and snack crackers but I eat them in the 100 calorie packs from Nabisco and Sunshine. Each bag only has 100 calories and 2 - 3 grams of fat which is a great way to still enjoy "junk" without all the fat and calories. I also started to eat flavored rice cakes and low fat granola bars which are also better alternatives to junk. It seems to be working but slowly. I have lost about 5 pounds so far which isn't much but it's a start and it's better than not losing any weight or worse, gaining weight.
  11. It's a video but Kidsongs Ride The Rollercoaster was filmed at SFMM. It was filmed in 1990 and they showed Ninja, Colussus, Revolution, Metro, the log flume, river rapids, tidal wave (not sure of exact name), the bumper cars and a bunch of kiddy rides. Richie Rich has Iron Wolf from SFGAM (it was supposed to be in his backyard) Blank Check has some park in it but I can't recall which rides it was other than it was a wooden coaster so I don't know which park it is. A bunch of shows had episodes where they went to Disney World like Full House and Boy Meets World
  12. Nice photos. I was surprised to read that you said no fast passes were needed at Animal Kingdom. I have never been there without huge crowds. Even on days when it doesn't seem that crowded compared to other days, the lines are still long and the park seems congested. Hopefully Everest will take care of some of the crowds. "This is me attempting to play Taiko since my stupid drum controller has yet to arrive!!! Dang it, where is it? Yes, I am talking to you video game store from Hawaii!" Was that store Toys N Joys by any chance? If so, you might be in for a long wait. I ordered an import DDR game from them and it took over a month to arrive. It was backordered and they don't tell you if it's in stock or not when you order.
  13. Cool pictures Wow, I wonder how they handled all those people since at the end of the queue now, it says 40 minute wait when queue is full. I guess they either set up a temporary queue outside of the main one (like they sometimes do with Comet) or else the line must have stretched all through Comet Hollow.
  14. Yeah it was the first looping coaster on the east coast and I think the 2nd modern looping coaster ever (after Revolution at SFMM). What's interesting is when you go through the queue, you can see how big the queue is and back when it was the new ride, it must have gotten filled all the time. Now it seems like the line is never out of the station unless it's a 1 train operation (which I guess is understandable).
  15. I think they actually had both skyrides running at one time before the other one closed. I kind of remember thinking what other park besides Hershey had both kinds of sky rides? I think it was removed around 1992.
  16. Very cool, too bad it's local pickup only (I guess shipping would be very expensive).
  17. I like all those ideas especially the indoor waterpark idea. During the winter, there is nothing fun to do (you can only go to the mall so many times and even that gets boring since most malls got rid of their arcades). If Hershey built an indoor waterpark, I would definetly go there at least once or twice during the winter.
  18. As long as you paid with Paypal and used a credit card I don't think there is much risk. If the tickets did turn out to be fake, the worst case scenario is that you could just pick up a coupon for $6 off ahead of time just in case and then pay at the gate and when you get home, do a credit card chargeback (if the seller or Paypal won't give you your money back). I think the reason the tickets went for so cheap was that the park is only open for 2 more weekends (I don't understand why they close so early) before the Halloween events start so there isn't much time left to use the tickets.
  19. I live about 25 minutes away from the Philadelphia Toboggan Company
  20. I just got back from their show in Philadelphia. They really do put on a great show. One thing I liked was how they came out on time when they were supposed to unlike other groups that show up an hour late. No one sat down the entire show even people in the regular seating and not just the floor which was surprising. I thought they had a good mix of songs with most of them of course coming from American Idiot but some older ones as well. Definetly one of the better concerts I have been to.
  21. My day wasn't that great. I am getting over being sick so I have felt horrible since last week and still don't feel well. I got up at 8:00 went to my first class from 8:40 - 10:00. Went home and did some work and had to go back to school from 4:40 - 7:10 (I HATE my schedule this semester since you spend the whole day knowing you have to go back to school for a night class and it's like that 3 out of 5 days a week), sat through a boring 2 1/2 class on Accounting Information Systems which I almost fell asleep in (along with 1/2 of my class).
  22. Looks cool but $80 seems like a lot. I could buy a few Knex coaster kits for that much.
  23. Nice TR, I'm not sure if it's the same at DLR but at WDW, they aren't really strict with getting to a ride past your fast pass time. Even if you showed up a few minutes late it probably wouldn't have mattered. I have even went back hours after the fast pass time on a few rides and never had a problem.
  24. I don't think anyone will pay that much for it. If people want to visit a small park with a few rides, they can go to any of the many Jersey shore parks. Someone looking for a park with a lot of rides probably won't go to Clementon either and would probably end up going to Great Adventure. Maybe if they lowered admission, the park would do better. I think the regular admission is somewhere in the $25 range which seems like a lot for a park with so few rides. Or they could maybe switch to a pay per ride system like most of the shore parks have but still offer a wristband for unlimited rides as well.
