  1. I would do Guardian first, and then other rides further back in the park, as the GP usually go the first rides they see.
  2. Shockwave just got a fresh shipment of parts from Canada's Wonderland, so I think it still has quite a bit of life left in it.
  3. Prioritize the rides you want to get done that don't offer fast lane and do those first thing in the morning. You may be able to do a couple others when the fireworks are going off at night.
  4. SFFT thread: Come for the speculation, stay for the trolls.
  5. That's what I thought too, I don't understand anything that goes on at this park, or this thread for that matter.
  6. You and I are two very different people.
  7. Do you think there is a chance that this is the same attraction that SFOT and SFSTL are getting?
  8. Did you not here? After they took Leviathan away from Knott's they designed Fury 325, but then Cedar Fair took it away from Knott's and sent it to Carowinds.
  9. I'm seeing a lot of people post in the Carowinds thread that they can't marathon I-305 a long time because it's too intense. Is this common for most people?
  10. ^I'm still guessing it will be a free spin. I'd bet $100 that they aren't getting Time Machine, but just playing devil's advocate here, would they be able to add stand-up trains to it to make it different? If it would work for Mantis to go from stand-up to sitdown trains, shouldn't it beable to work the other way around? Or would Time Machine's inversions be too uncomfortable for a stand-up?
  11. Maybe I just caught the crew on a bad day, but when I was at the park in June, I never saw a train dispatched before the previous train reached the MCBR, where as other years I remember trains dispatched before then a lot.
  12. The site is now live https://www.carowinds.com/swarm
  13. And you though Leviathan's break run was long My feed just went down
  14. Its working better on my phone too, but it still is buffering at times.
  15. I didn't want to discuss this in the Carowinds thread, but PCW_Nut said Leviathan will also get seatbelts for 2015. The park has said it is just to make the gp feel more secure, but is that really worth sacrificing the amazing dispatch times? I always read on Wonderland's Facebook page lots of complaints about long lines but no complaints that Behemoth and Leviathan don't have seatbelts. Is this really necessary?
  16. I wonder if this will have seatbelts? I'm guessing that won't be a detail announced.
  17. "World's First B&M Looper Relocated From Myrtle Beach." Seriously, Six Flags will slap a World's First on anything if they want. It's like sports statistics to them. "Top earned ERA in the past 15 minutes in the ALCS." SFFT Fanboys screaming about not mentioning Time Machine incoming in 3...2...1... I'm taking "world's first" as a 4D free spin coaster which would be accurate. What's the difference between the S&S Free Spin and the Intamin Zac Spin?
  18. I'm fairly confident those are transfer track supports. If you zoom in you can see they are square supports, like the supports that hold up Behemoth's transfer track.
  19. Is the giga supposed to be going over the entrance gates like Gatekeeper? I always though it would be like Leviathan and just turnaround near the front gates.
  20. Just curious, do you feel the same way about Hulk and other comic-themed attractions, or are your thoughts just in the case of Six Flags? No, just Six Flags. Universal is getting the licensing to seriously theme the ride well, which I like. They aren't painting a coaster red and blue and calling it Superman. If Six Flags made their coasters like Superman in Australia I would be ecstatic.
  21. As someone who isn't into comics, I wish Six Flags would drop all the DC comic names and invest that money elsewhere. If other parks can survive with normal names is it really worth it for Six Flags to keep spending money licensing some of their names? Does anyone know how much Six Flags pays for the licensing? And is it per ride or unlimited?
  22. Maybe it's because they received a massive coaster like Ride of Steel, but I always thought they were a much larger park than Waldameer and MA even though I haven't seen attendance numbers for the park. I'm glad to hear it's not as bad as I've heard though.
