  1. I've only done Canada's Wonderland's splashworks once too and the lines for the slides were also insane, so the more slides the better.
  2. I highly recommend getting fast lane. It makes your day so much more enjoyable not having to stress over long lines. The water park can get quite busy too depending on the weather. You can buy fast lane both in advance and at the park, but definitely wait until you get to the park to buy it because if the weather turns out to be bad, lines will likely be short. I hope you have a fun day!
  3. Have there been any pictures of the construction site yet?
  4. Millennium Force may not be the reason they haven't topped 310 feet (though it does seem that way), it's very possible that they just don't see the financial benefit in doing so. Once you build a coaster that's over 300 feet tall you have a great marketing angle. It's the tallest and fastest coaster in the southeast, 300 is a nice round number that you can put out there in the media and on merchandise. If they go to 350 feet instead of 300 feet that probably won't encourage any additional people to visit the park. They're already going to get everyone's attention when they top 300 feet. From the park's point of view, why would they make the extra investment when it won't lead to any more of a return on that investment? If they could break a record they might go higher but it won't be anywhere close to the tallest coaster in the world. Calling it the tallest "traditional" or "gravity driven" coaster in the world won't appeal to anyone because most people don't know or care what that means... there's no reason why they would go higher or faster than they need to. Plus they're pretty close to a major airport so I'm not sure what restrictions they need to deal with on that front. I think tallest traditional roller coaster would sound impressive to the gp, as they likely don't know what makes a coaster traditional or not. The important thing is that they can use the word tallest. Like Banshee, world's longest inverted coaster may not sound that impressive but as long as the gp hear "longest" that's all that matters.
  5. It's on at 12, 2:45 and 4:45. It would've been cool to have it right before Starlight Spectacular, but maybe it's better to keep them separate.
  6. Has anyone seen Snoopy's Symphony of Water yet? Is it any good?
  7. Any idea of what attraction or how big it will be that's replacing Crazy Beach Party?
  8. ^^ This thing looks amazing, I really wish I could make it to the park this year.
  9. I wonder if what's in the "spoiler" is part of the finale or not.
  10. Nightmares is still at Wonderland, it just got a new sign this season too so I doubt it's going anywhere soon.
  11. ^I've never heard of that or seen those pictures, that definitely would scare you just watching someone's chair crash into you as you are defenseless.
  12. Nice report, I-305 with no wait would be amazing!
  13. If I recall, the water in the wave pool was like swimming in Lake Ontario in the spring when we were there for Leviathan Bash a few years ago. And that was in the middle of summer on a very warm day. Needless to say, we didn't stay in very long...and I missed the walk-back of Leviathan for it. I can't imagine it will be warm enough to open the waterpark in two weeks, it's barely warm enough to wear shorts right now.
  14. I think this Friday is physics day, but that shouldn't effect lines too much.
  15. ^If you can get close to Steelhawk, you should take some pictures of how well it fits in with the rest of the park.
  16. ^Yep, it's still there. It will be interesting to see if Leviathan has seatbelts by tomorrow night, because if it doesn't, I'm guessing they might not be installed at all.
  17. Leviathan has survived the seatbelt apocalypse so far, which seems odd that Behemoth got them and not Leviathan. Why? I don't know.
  18. Leviathan has always had an amazing crew, doesn't surprise me it had a short line. Is there any possibility that the park will remove the seatbelts if capacity is greatly effected? Usually Leviathan on slow days has the longer line.
  19. I really hope they don't add seatbelts to either Behemoth or Leviathan. I like just pulling down the clamshell and being ready to go.
  20. There is a strong rumor that CW will get a Splashworks renovation in 2015, so these new slides likely will be set up then.
  21. It has sold out at Canada's Wonderland before, likely other parks too.
  22. It's Kings Island's version of "Amity Airfield" from RCT2.
