  1. Just because you think they are redundant doesn't mean they aren't sound investments. From all I've heard Leviathan is a fantastic ride and very different from Behemoth absolutely not, leviathan is very boring (at least for me) camelback curve, curve, camelback, end. I much preferred behemoth. then I do not understand, there are dozens of types of coaster. why build the same thing? (Just a little bit higher) Cedar Fair has a great relationship with B&M from what we've seen, and a giga coaster is easiest to market among the general public, being their target audience. Enthusiasts make up such a small part of their attendance that they don't take into account their opinions when buildig a new coaster. Just because you find it "boring" doesn't mean it's a bad investment, and in all honesty, if you find a 300 foot tall, 93 mph roller coaster "boring," you need to find a new hobby. You're not going to find many coasters more exciting than Leviathan. Well said. I think a B&M giga may be in Kings Island's future too.
  2. I agree, though really, a giant frisbee would look good in any park!
  3. I could be way off on this but I think they may leave them there until they have went through and made sure the track alignment is 100% for the first test run.
  4. Well this sucks. Hopefully they can get over this hurdle, but if they have to redesign the entire thing lets hope the coaster layout is just as good. I think I can hear Six Flags cheering though.
  5. That's what I was thinking too, but when you have a multi-million dollar investment going on, you would think that would be priority for whoever is still on board.
  6. This is what I would call a luxury problem. Yes, just be happy Canada's Wonderland has two awesome Hyper/Giga coasters. These Cedar Fair parks do not have any Giga Coasters or really good Hyper coasters: -Knott's Berry Farm -Michigan's Adventure -California's Great America -World's Of Fun -Valleyfair -Dorney Park No one on here is complaining that the park got a hyper and a giga. Though it's not a crime to wish for some variety.
  7. Exactly. You don't need to be an expert to know more advertising=larger crowds (most of the time). It's sad to watch the Busch/Seaworld chain struggle right now but it's decisions like this that make it a little less surprising.
  8. Unfortunately I don't think we will be seeing an RMC hybrid for a while at CW. Based on hints that have been dropped I think a launched B&M wing coaster will be coming in 2016. And while that's nowhere near what I would like to see come to the park as an enthusiast, from a business standpoint it makes sense. I'm just thankful the park is home to 2 other great beemers.
  9. Click on the link beside the sub-title of this thread. The mods don't put them there just for fun Count me as one excited for a dive machine at CP. Though to be honest, ever since Twisted Colossus was announced, I've always though it would be cool for CP to do something similar with Gemini.
  10. Why can't North American parks advertise like this.
  11. I love the theme of this ride. I wish something similar would be built near me.
  12. Bring in an RMC in its place. Sounds like a good trade off to me.
  13. ^It's hard to judge a 3D image on clarity without wearing 3D glasses.
  14. Looks like I shoulda did my research first. I always forget about what gets built outside of North America/Europe. Though in my defence, B&M is still near the top of the pack when in comes to building large coasters and not family coasters. So you're saying they have no passion or enthusiasm about what they do? That's just dumb. Where did I say that? You can have lots of passion and enthusiasm for what you do, but in the end they are still a business that needs to make money, and if getting to that goal means building roller coasters some enthusiasts don't prefer, than that's the route they are going to take. But sorry for being dumb.
  15. B&M tops the only chart that matters to them- the number of coasters a manufacturer builds in a year.
  16. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the colors either. The bright orange supports look like ugly scaffolding imo, and the track color doesn't stand out at all. It kinda blends in with sky. I think it would look a lot better if they had switched the track colors with the support colors.
  17. If you don't look at Canada's Wonderland. Or Galaxyland.
  18. The traffic really only applies to Haunt. All other times it usually isn't bad at all. Avoid rush hour traffic if you are going through downtown Toronto. You gotta have a lot of patience driving down there at those times.
  19. ^It's a shame that 2 of the best roller coasters in the world are located in such a bad park.
  20. ^^^It's no secret Six Flags has terrible operations. Though I honestly think it's better for the park not to tell the GP the seat is closed off because of the accident if that's even true. Striking unnecessary fear into guests isn't smart. Let them enjoy their safe ride, and if they ask about the seat, say you aren't sure.
