  1. I will be going to opening day at Banshee, and opening day at Falcon's Fury! I have my 2 year pass for BGT, and have renewed my Platinum for Cedar Fair!
  2. If any Cedar Fair park can pull this off, it's going to be Wonderland.
  3. Sledgehammer was open, and quite an interesting ride. In the Q&A I said, "This is my 7th Cedar Fair park that I have visited, can you go to the states and show the rest how it's done?" Everyone knew what I was getting at. I can't wait to go back!
  4. Canada's Wonderland is off in a world all to itself. You would think that you are in a non Cedar Fair park. Wonderland is light years ahead of the other Cedar Fair parks in terms of operations, maintenance, customer service, and cleanliness. A full queue on Leviathan is only 30 minutes. I would rather have Wonderland as my home park than Kings Island.
  5. It was more along the lines of general improvements. Nothing said remotely hinted that a "RIDE" will be going into the mountain. As I said before, 2 of this year's mazes will share the inside of the mountain. Of course, there may very well be plans to put a ride in there, but they did not confirm anything. I think before they open it back up they would want a way to keep guests from tossing things over the side.
  6. I was at the event, the attractions inside the mountain will be 2 of the mazes for this years haunt. They would not tell us anything other than there is an attraction coming, no other information was mentioned about the 2014 attraction. They did say, after someone asked why they were closed and if they had planned to reopen the trails on the mountain, that they would like to refurbish those areas of need. Apparently the trails were closed due to people tossing stuff off the mountain. On another note: Feeling the vibration as a train rockets down the drop! After the Leviathan walk back, I got 13 rides on without going around and re entering the queue. 2 rides in the front, and then walked to row 8 and got 11 more. Rode Leviathan a total of 15 times on Saturday! We all also got Dinosaurs Alive included in our event. Here is a photo of the Dinosaurs moving: Here are the same Dinos moving again: Have move photos on my facebook page (they are mostly Leviathan and Dinos): https://www.facebook.com/jesse.caldwell.3154/media_set?set=a.10200682627530242.1073741828.1297644186&type=3
  7. A lot of readers here need to get down to ride the Florida B&M's. Those parks know how to take care of their B&M's. Those of you putting Raptor over Montu must have fallen and hit your heads. I rode Montu 4 times last Friday, and there is not a bad place or bump on the entire ride. I like everything about B&M coasters, and I can not put a finger on the one STYLE that I like the most. What I tend to like most is the reliability of their rides. People say that B&M likes to stay in their comfort zones when it come to their rides, but that is what makes them so reliable. Even Hulk with it's tire driven launch system has little down time. Given that 2013 is the "Year of Faulty Intamins", I have a feeling more B&M's will start popping up. I think we are at 90 total B&M's with Banshee and the Heide Park Wing Coaster both opening in 2014. Kumba is my number 1 steel coaster. Out of the 30 B&M's I have ridden, Kumba and Montu are my top 2.
  8. Python - BGT rcrider4, I actually have the print out of your avatar, that was given to me by Busch Gardens in 2008.
  9. Had to have been before 1991.. Roller Coaster at Fantasy Farm in Middletown Ohio. In 1993 I rode my first looping coaster.. Scorpion at BGT
  10. Cheetah Hunt is a front seat coaster, so take the extra time to wait for the front.
  11. On the Kings Island one, if you look in front of the Reds restaurant, you can see the guy on the google bike in the window reflection. It is the window on the front of the building closest to the Diamondback queue. The guy is headed toward Rivertown Potato Works.
  12. I am sorry, but Cedar Point has the best Tilt-A-Whirl in Planet Snoopy. I love that thing. Some days, we have more fun on the darn Tilt-A-Whirl that the coasters! I would love for KI to get one. It would fit nicely between Backyard Stunt Coaster and Diamondback.
  13. Would anyone in the Tampa area be interested in going to this event? I have been given permission to look for security for the event. Basically, you would be checking to make sure people entering have a wristband. This is mainly during the pool party which starts around 7:30pm on August 10th. You will receive free admission to all 3 days of the event, August 9 - 11 for helping us make sure everyone is supposed to be there during the pool party. I will be arriving Friday morning to help set up, and will be displaying my work at the pool Friday night, as well as during the trade show on Saturday. If anyone is interested send me a private message here, or directly to my business email address mercreations@hotmail.com include your TPR user name, real name, and a number to reach you. Thanks in advance!
  14. I am not an fan of Intamin by any means... I think their coasters are boring and one trick ponies. Skyrush absolutely blows away any other Intamin that I have ridden, including I-305 and Millennium Forceless. It completely blew me away! I actually look forward to the day when I can get back to HP to ride an Intamin!
  15. Nope these are the same B&M footers. If that is the case then it does not make sense. I am usually spot on when it comes to B&M construction.
  16. The only defined path we see is from the bottom of the hill up to the maintenance area, and around to where the station "should be". All of the footers between Delerium and the maintenance area of this coaster are not for the coaster itself. There will be shade structures. Based on the shade structures are Windseeker, some of the footers match, and would most likely come from CSF. By match, I mean that they are roughly the same size as Windseeker shade footers. They still have plenty of time and room to pour more footers in the valley. Just because there is grass, does not mean that they can not dig footers.
  17. If I am wrong, that means Flying Over the Rainforest opened before Gatekeeper. http://rcdb.com/r.htm?ot=2&ml=9896
  18. Gatekeeper was number 5. 6 is Flying Over the Rainforest 7 is the unnamed for Heide Park
  19. Diamondback uses square AND circular footers. Edit: I sketched this up: I think this is the direction of travel.
  20. Tear down Millennium Forceless and build something with more airtime.
  21. There is an Intamin ride at KI. Drop Tower is Intamin.
  22. Manta's footers match the KI footers as well!
  23. I have ridden Diamondback 45 times in one day.
