I am not sure if it has been said yet, BUT...... If you are planning to go to Kings Island, do so this season. The sooner, the better. Beast is running at it's best! The best rides that I have had on it, have all been this season! I would go as far as saying that 75% of the ride has been re-tracked, and it is amazing. The valley and turn into the long brake shed, a good portion of the run between the long tunnel to the second lift, and helix finale have all been re-tracked. Also, I could be wrong, but it feels as if the entrance to the helix has been re-profiled. It feels like it is banked more as you go into the tunnel form the drop. -

I do have to say the Voyage gives it's best rides in the front row. It is the only place I ride on Voyage, and I marathon it. Yes, the entire spaghetti bowl was completely demolished and rebuilt from the ground up. Although I have not ridden since the refurb. -

A lot of the wing lights weren't working on media day. Speaking of wings, look what I found in my deliveries from yesterday! Even though I am very familiar with the CoasterDynamix steel roller coaster modeling system, this photo is totally "squeeeee" worthy! Can't wait to get my hands on some new track, and some metal wheels! -

Out of the 28 B&M's I have ridden, Kumba is by far the loudest. It is louder than Mantis! A couple years ago, BGT cleaned and repainted Kumba's track, and that made it slightly louder. I love the sound of Kumba's roar echoing in the tunnel! -

I am very busy with work, (those pesky, needy mermaids!), but I have managed to squeeze a few hours at the park. I have some Windseeker and Wilde Maus updates for you. Windseeker track and 'cables' have been installed: (might not be able to see them very well.) Ride area for Windseeker has been "poured". Wilde Maus track is complete: Employee lying down on the job! -

I am an avid listener of a radio station here in Cincinnati called Remind 94.9. Last week we were in the car on the way to downtown Cincinnati (Dennis was driving), and they had one of those "be caller 9 and you win something" thing. The Reds were playing in Chicago, so the question was, "In the movie Chicago, which actress played 'Roxy Hart'?" Well, I called and was surprised the phone actually rang. I thought there is no way I was going to win. They answered, and asked the question, and I responded Renee Zellweger. (I was actually caller 10, but caller 9 answered "Queen Latifah." I WON 4 tickets to the Reds home game for Father's Day. Well, I am not a fan of the Reds, but I accepted the tickets. The next day I contacted Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and donated the 4 tickets for them to give to a family of 4 staying at the hospital. -

If you look at Diamondback construction, it has a long rectangular "box" under the station area. I think the purple area will be a block before the station, then you turn left into the station from the block. -
Well, I rode it 5 times on opening day. I got in line for the last ride between the Tower and that theater, and the line was only 90 minutes. The queue when full with all the lanes opened is 45 minutes to board a train. So it took 45 minutes from the tower to get to the entrance, then another 45 minutes to board.

Anyone Rode a Slingshot?

I've done the one at KI several times. If you time it just right, it's $5 per rider. This is the only time I ride. I don't like paying extra for certain attractions. -

I am beginning to think that the green supports are indeed for KI. The same supports ( and section of green track) are still in Batavia, in the same spots as in the photos posted a few pages back. The only thing new out front are 3 orange box trailers that the trains are usually shipped in. -
This is what I do when I go. It works for me, and I ride everything that I want several times. Purchase your tickets online (unless you have a pass) Look to see if they have the Play & Dine Deal. It is the best value at BGT. You will receive two vouchers, one for admission and one for All Day Dining. Redeem you ADD voucher at Zagora Bar, then definitely ride Cheetah Hunt first thing. Try for front row for the best airtime in Florida. Then ride Montu in the front. After Montu, make you way to the back of the park by cutting through Edge of Africa. Perhaps hit the 2 coasters in Timbuktu on your way to Kumba. From Kumba head straight to SheiKra. (Last time I was there, the queue was full by noon, on a weekday.) You must make time to see the shows, and a last row ride on Montu later in the day. Montu rides amazing later in the day. Give Kumba some lovin for me while you are there, please.

Well, I can't remember any that I have ridden where you travel into the creature's mouth. I do know of a couple where you are ALMOST eaten by some creature. JAWS JP: River Adventure Simspon's Ride - baby Simpson puts you in her mouth I know, I know. It doesn't count. Let's face it though, depending on where you sit, that T-Rex gets pretty darn close!

Drove to Clermont Steel. The supports are a dark green color. Think "Forest Green". The green section of track is still there, and has not been moved since last week. It is possible that the track is replacement, and the supports will be shipping to their construction site soon. I do know that the Batavia plant builds the older style B&M trains, and there happen to be 3 box trailers sitting out front. If KI wants to go back to the theme before Action Zone, I would say, the supports would fit, and are indeed going to KI. -

I was only at the Point on Media Day this season. That guy you seen must have been sexy if he looked like me! Actually, Wicked Twister is one of my favorite rides at the Point! I love the last car of the train going up the spike. I like almost everything at the Point except for Raptor and Force.
