Your top coasters...
B&MBoy1982 replied to caffeine_demon's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think one would remember the coasters that they really enjoyed vs. coasters that they did not enjoy. For me at 170 it's hard to think back and remember the experience of each coaster, but can rattle off the top of my head without thinking some of my most memorable coasters. Kumba Montu SKyrush Voyage Thunderhead Sheikra Diamondback These are my most memorable coasters. I said them out loud, then typed the name. After that, I really have to think about it. -
It pays for my half of the bills, and I don't have to leave my house except to take something to UPS. (or go to Kings Island or other parks.) I also usually have "play" money left over to visit the theme parks, go out to a nice dinner, see a movie, etc. Once I get to the point where I can afford (and trust) to hire someone, tails will go out faster. This will increase my sales. Until then, it's all me.

No problem at all... It is put on by the person who organizes Gasparilla. I am sure it will be in Florida again next year. A lot of the tails do look better out of the water. The deeper in the water the tail, the more distorted the visual becomes. I am not sure how many tail companies there are in the states. I know I am one of the 4 most known. Mermaid Rentals - (Created the Splash Tail) Mermaid Creations - (My business) Mertailor FlipTails The trade show is fun, and the pool party afterward is just a blast! If anyone is in the area, stop by and check it out.

I will post more photos. Anyone wanting to attend the event it is $10 for a 1 day ticket, or $30 for all three days. The convention is where all vendors of mermaid related items set up "booths", and show off their work. I obviously will be showcasing my mermaid / merman tails. Afterwards, there is a pool party (as I mentioned before). Most people will probably be there that day only. Sunday is a leisure day for everyone. Some mermaid outings to a couple of Florida springs were being discussed on a different forum. A chance for some out of state merfolk to be able to film or photograph in a natural, clear, underwater setting. However, I may make a trip to BGT on Thursday prior to the event. (Gonna buy a 2 year Gold Pass)

2012 International Mermaid Pageant. Later that evening at the pool party, Captain Jack Sparrow stopped by to mingle with the Merfolk. More here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.404671046247721.86261.390098897704936&type=3 MerPalooza 2013 will be bigger than last year.

Actually, "Jew" live very close to the man who created the tail for Daryl Hannah in Splash! Okay, I couldn't pass that up! Here is an interview I did with a blogger and mermaid friend of mine. http://meridianmer-gyver.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-men-behind-mermaids-jesse-caldwell.html I will post photos on my business Facebook page "Mermaid Creations LLC". Check out the few photos I have up of last years event.

Some people think riding coasters is an odd hobby, yet we still do it.

That was not a jab at myself, I hope. This is my job, it is what I do for a living.

FRESH Theme Park Food
B&MBoy1982 replied to lakeeriemonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The freshest food in a theme park that I have encounter is at Dollywood. Other parks need to take notes! Thing about it is if more parks served the quality of food that Dollywood, I would not be able to fit on the rides! -
I will be there! I will have a booth, as I did last year! This is myself with one of my mermaids: At my booth, talking with a fan: Here is a video of me testing the very first silicone tail that I made: Here's a more recent tail: Come check it out! It will be held at Hogan's Beach in Tampa. I believe it is around $30 for the 3 days of the event. Rooms at the resort are starting at $89 and up per night. Robb, you should bring KidTums! I have a tail that she may be able to try out!

Best coaster ride when raining
B&MBoy1982 replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have had some really great rides on Beast and Diamondback in the rain. Beast due to the fact it's wood, and wood reacts differently to weather than steel. Diamondback sails through the trim on hill 5 when the pads are wet. -
You Might Be A Coaster Nerd If....
B&MBoy1982 replied to PCW_Nut's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
..... you brag that you live 20 minutes from the US factory that produces B&M coasters. .... you buckle all the belts in your vehicle. .... imitate the sounds of coaster brakes when slowing down in your vehicle. .... you have ever shifted your vehicle into neutral, and proceeded to coast down a hill. ..... you work at McDonald's and see the Filet O Fish button. It is labeled "FOF", you automatically think Flight of Fear. .... while visiting Jungle Jim's, you point out everything you recognize from KI, starting with the monorail as you pull onto the lot. ..... can recite safety spiels word for word with the recording. ...... can recite ride event dialog with the ride. ..... have used said dialog while speaking to someone about something unrelated.. "I say, you're going the wrong way." -

If it was an inverted coaster, the curves of the track would be going in the opposite direction. I would say that this track is most likely for a floorless coaster. -

Well, that certainly is not inverted track.
