You get great views of Diamondback, Seeker, Eiffel Tower, Drop Tower, and Banshee when you enter the park form the south (Western Row exit).

I think Banshee may give Montu a run for his money, but we will see in April. On another note, I was at BGT in August, and Montu was running absolutely wonderful! Although it is time for the old man to be painted!

Once again, the B&M will still be more reliable. After all is said and done, do you really think Cedar Fair is going with Intamin on this coaster?

If Carowinds is indeed getting a Giga Coaster, I would bet that it is either B&M or Intamin. Personally, while I do think Leviathan was a great ride and wouldn't mind seeing a similar ride built I don't think it should go to Carowinds. It felt redundant to have two very similar rides at Canada's Wonderland and the same thing would happen at Carowinds as they already have Intimidator. An Intamin Giga, on the other hand, would be a great fit for the park as they don't currently have anything quite like that (or any Intamin coaster for that matter). What's the difference with building a B&M giga vs and Intamin giga? The B&M will be more reliable. Do you feel that it is redundant for a park to have more than one wooden roller coaster? More than one launch coaster? More than one restaurant? Leviathan and Behemoth offer very different rides. They do however provide what the park is looking for. CAPACITY. Can you imagine Carowinds with 3 awesome people eating B&M's? They already have two, Intimidator and Afterburn. Wait, that is kind of redundant. Better not.

That support behind the wall also looks very close if you ask me. It will aether just miss or hit it. Good to see that the chain is on site (Check Koppen's source for picture) they keep it going there. This is a zoomed in photo. Here is the "big picture". As you can see, the support is holding the track where that clearance checker is.

I think Banshee will be a back seat ride. Complaining about the trains is petty. If B&M didn't think the new trains would work, they would not produce them. Also, Gatekeepers restraints are fixed. The vests do not tighten anymore.

It is going to be just like Gatekeeper Media Day where paid coaster club members will be able to attend. Don confirmed this at an event I went to a couple weeks ago.

Glad you won't be going to ride Banshee. One less person standing in front of me. I will be there on Media Day, and on opening day.

I think the folks over at Holiday World should buy that B&M. It would be PERFECT for that park. Over near Voyage would be a great place for it.

During a Q&A a couple weeks ago, Don said that there are no plans for any of the current rides to be removed in the foreseeable future, and that Vortex would not be leaving anytime soon.

They are not fixed, they are suspended, and they knock back and forth between joints on the train. They're not broken. No other B&M inverted roller coaster is that loud in the station. Batman at SFGAm is not that loud in the station, and it was the first B&M inverted! They should not knock back and forth that loudly.

I love B&M as you may know, but i was really disappointed with Gatekeeper on this trip. It was very bumpy, not rough, just bumpy (if that made sense) toward the back of the train. More so than the Diamondback rattle! I rode GK 30 times on media day, and enjoyed it tremendously, I did not enjoy it very much last night. Rode Craptor once and Forceless twice. One of my Forceless rides was at night. Both rides were 3rd from the back. (Station was flooded with people, and just wanted to ride and move on.) Only got a very small amount of airtime on the first drop, and that was it! The ride experience itself was made better due to the fog and ambiance in the area. Alas, there are still better coasters than Millennium Force. Raptor (Craptor) was running 2 trains, and was a one train wait. It was giving good rides, but was very sluggish due to the weather. The MCBR did not grab the trains. Neither while I was riding, or walking past, I didn't hear the MCBR grab the trains. It still sounds like the station's tire kickers are going to fall off. Went through all the haunted attractions, and enjoyed the props and makeup a lot. The scare-actors need to learn that when someone is walking with a bright light in their face, and fog all around, that they need to approach from the side, and not the front. I am not a light weight, and would not like to fall on top of someone because I could not see them. Overall, the park looked nice, and the staff was friendly. GASP! Almost forgot! I took my first ride on Cedar Downs! It is my favorite carousel!

I believe that anything is possible. My dad's parents are from Ohio, and would vacation at my parent's in Florida. My childhood home is on a lake where my grandfather would go out in his boat fishing every morning during their visit. In 1996, my grand parents were in a car accident which caused my grandfather to pass away about 2 weeks later. A few years after my grandfather passed, strange things started happening at my house. The recliner that my grandfather slept in would move, my brother's stereo system would turn on, then turn itself up to the highest setting, and sometimes if I was alone in the house, I would feel someone standing next to me. When I turn around there was no one there. If you sat in the recliner, you would get the feeling as though someone placed their hands on the seat back, and once again there's no one there. Each of the four of us, dad, mom, brother, and myself have had similar experiences. This happened frequently up until my grandmother's passing in 2004. After she passed, everything stopped. We believe that he was waiting for her. It kind of makes sense. They vacationed there every year for as long as I can remember. We joke that he was there to fish while he was waiting for her.

Must have been incredibly fun for them, too, what with getting to talk to an ape and all! Great pictures, thanks - I wonder how many enthusiasts would have guessed that an inverted coaster (especially of this size) would be the thing being installed at a park in 2013? I guess I thought somehow the industry had moved on. If a park wants B&M to build any one of their models, B&M will build it for the park. All of B&M's coaster styles are still available for future installations. It comes down to what the parks want.

I disagree, it gets more credit than it deserves. It's just okay IMO. It's voted in the top 5 steel every year. It's overrated. There are a lot better rides out there. I used to really love it, but times and rides change. What is up with everyone and MF anyway?! SKYRUSH is better! Leviathan is Better! They must have fallen and hit their heads. I have only gotten airtime on MF a couple times, and in row 3 only. On Leviathan and Skyrush, I got airtime on every single ride, no matter what seat I was in!

Agreed. Leviathan's queue when full is only 30 minutes. They controlled the crowds in both B&M stations, so there was little waiting in the stations themselves.

I will be going to opening day at Banshee, and opening day at Falcon's Fury! I have my 2 year pass for BGT, and have renewed my Platinum for Cedar Fair!
