  1. ^I have only been on 5 stand ups (Mantis, Scorcher, Shockwave, SkyRider and Vortex) and Scorcher was by far the best! I thought it was pretty comfortable too. I don't know if I would say it was better than Mindbender but I enjoyed it for sure.
  2. Jack Rabbit at Kennywood - 1920
  3. ^agreed, I only rode it once when it was a walk on but I didn't want to walk all that way to ride again...lazy I know but dang that was a long one. I felt like the queve for Goliath at SFOG was pretty terrible. Felt like it takes forever to walk up to the station, and even longer leaving the station down the long ramps to the gift shop.
  4. #1 Rollo Coaster - Idlewild #100 Batman - SFOG
  5. ^Yes I can check off I305 and Skyrush (rode them on back to back days, was really nice to compare them). new top ten would be: 1) All RMC 2) El Toro 3) Kumba 4) Montu 5) Expedition GeForce 6) Kawasemi 7) Katun 8) Balder 9) Helix 10) Bizzaro
  6. ^anybody also know why he might spell me, "mi"? Being a music person I can only think of "do, re, mi..."
  7. I don't think it will be a wing coaster. The "launch/break run" footers would be way to close to the building, wouldn't it?
  8. Anyone know why the building's roof doesn't have all of the frames up? It has been bothering me for quite some time now.
  9. Way out there prediction: B&M Sit down - First half like Mavericks first half, ends in a show building. In the building the train stops, the seats tilt back (laying on your back now). The train starts going in reverse (Revenge of the Mummy/Firechaser switch track) and flips you over into the flying position. From there it launches and has an awesome terrain hugging layout.
  10. I know they probably take an average height heartline, but does it really matter on a stand up? Everyone is at a different height and has a different heartline on a stand up.
  11. im under the impression the poster is unaware of the vekoma flyers where you board the opposite of how B&M coasters board... That may be the case. I think they were thinking you could take the whole tilting device out for the sake of shedding weight, making it easier to launch. I just can't see a way to really make that work, then again I'm just a teacher and no engineer, "you can do anything if you really want it!" I hope it's not a flyer. If it is HW will definitely make it cool but I would really just like to see a sit down launcher with inversions.
  12. ^you still board upright though. Photo courtesy of wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firehawk_(roller_coaster)
  13. 3 cake pops = 3 launches? Had that in a dream last night
  14. Just found this animation, I didn't see it posted so I apologize if it has been already.
  15. Mantis colors really aren't that far off, Cavs colors are gold, maroon (wine), and navy. Maybe they can rename it and then change the ride to floorless/sit down the following year. One can dream...
  16. Why can't it be the best steel coaster ever? Kolmarden is building their very first wood coaster and they claim it will be the best thing ever. I'm just excited to get back there soon, it will be great no matter if its the best ever or just a solid ride.
  17. It's been jerky all year, I feel like it is painful to ride especially after riding FoF at kings dominion where it's so smooth.
  18. ^Agreed, it looks pretty twisty plus it looks as if it is for a Flyer or Inverted coaster, I'm no track expert though.
  19. Went by CSF today, nothing much new outside. I was hoping to get some better pictures of the stacked pieces but they have been moved/shipped. I had some trouble uploading my photos so I put them on a Flickr page. https://www.flickr.com/photos/125246236@N04/sets/72157645175880899/
  20. Phoenix at Knoebels a few weeks ago!
  21. The footers are in a straight line, could this be for a launch or possibly the brake run? I don't know exactly where this is in the park though. I assume it's not a lift hill because I figured they would get wider apart if that was the case.
  22. ^I305 just got better and better as the day went on, I think I have a new #1! I got there around 4 and Dominator, Volcano, and I305 were all down. I305 came back up real quick and Dominator opened back up later, Volcano was closed the whole evening. I'll be back tomorrow and hopefully it will be fixed! Great first visit though today!
  23. ^,^^,&^^^ Thanks for all the advice! I'm looking forward to my first trip there!
  24. I'm heading to the park for my first time Monday, and possibly Sunday evening when I drive in. I read the park guide but does anyone have some additional advice on how to tackle the park? Thanks! And if anyone is going to be there those days, I'd love to get a few rides with some fellow TPRers.
  25. It was earlier today, but haven't seen it go for awhile.
