  1. ^^Never realized how it is almost always shaking. Very cool though, and I'm glad it back up and running. I do wish they would zoom out on it though.
  2. I just want to say how awesome TPR is. I donated a very small $25 towards the Cedar Point TPR team and was excited to get a DVD back from TPR, I only asked for one instead of the two. What I wasn't expecting was a "Bag-O-Crap" (should be Bag-O-Awesome-Stuff) with it! Robb, it was certainly a very kind gesture and something you didn't have to do and to that I say THANK YOU! This is why TPR is the best! I'm excited to look through the Tokyo Disney maps! Thanks again! And congrats to all of those that participated and raised money for a great cause!! Awesome Maps and stuff from TPR!!
  3. This is a Sandusky issue, not Cedar Fair/Cedar Point. CP doesn't want to be closed, this isn't a decision they want to make.
  4. ^Very cool. I like where you're thinking. I see it fitting over the "pit" section, where the north arrow would indeed face north. The service road would be the one that connects to Route 162. It could be a place for a high turnaround after a launch like Cheetah Hunt (someone mentioned this possibly being something like that ride). I love the speculation though, I'm excited to find out what it will be! *edit: I will now disagree with myself, as there are no footers on that map going back towards the PP station but instead heading across the road. Who knows, this is going to be a fun process!
  5. looks like they will change the cameras throughout the day. This really is the worst thing that could happen to any productivity I had planned...
  6. These types of lists always interest me. One thing that I find surprising is that there are four Cedar Fair parks ahead of the first Six Flags. I guess I never really paid attention to attendance very much. Just a personal perception I always had, thinking SFMM would outdo the top Cedar Fair parks. Thanks for sharing!
  7. Cedar Point website just put up two live webcams...now I'm never going to get anything done at work. https://www.cedarpoint.com/online-fun/live-video-cam?mobile=0
  8. I'm surprised Pilgrams Plunge wasn't called Oceanus...
  9. ^^definitely the last place I'd expect to see a fire
  10. I go to parks by myself all the time, and now that I think about it it makes me feel a little bit like a loner . I went to Kings Island on Mothers Day and went with two friends, I felt like I annoyed them because I walk pretty fast through the parks as I want to do as much as possible. I had to keep waiting for them to catch up. Plus none of my friends are anywhere near as big of a nerd as me when comes to coasters, they like going once a year and I need more than that. My next trip in a couple weeks will be by myself to Kings Dominion, Dorney, and Hersheypark, all for the first time.
  11. ^The article is a little confusing (most likely just the translation) but the subtitle says that one of the injuries ended up being fatal? I hope that is wrong though.
  12. ^That's terrible news. I wonder what exactly happened.
  13. Update on mine: Carowinds - visited Six Flags over Georgia - visited Kings Island - visited 3 times New (definitely) Kings Dominion Dorney Hershey Waldameer Revisiting: Cedar Point Still in the works: Six Flags Great America Kentucky Kingdom
  14. That was my favorite ride at the fair! My brother and I would ride it at least 10 times every time we would go.
  15. ^It will look cool for sure, just like in Altoona. It looks like there is only a small street in between the coaster and ballpark, I'm probably wrong though as I've never been there. Picture credit to baseballpilgrimages.com
  16. I would love for it to be a terrain coaster by Mack Intamin or RMC, but 66 days at sea thing makes me think it will be a water ride. Maybe something highly themed like Jurassic Park The Ride? AquaTrax? We don't have much longer til we find out and whatever it is I'm sure it will be awesome!
  17. Seems like someone posted the POV a little early...It's coming up as a private video now.
  18. Looks awesome! I also heard on the radio this morning that Kroger is selling season passes for $69.95 (online they are $99.95). After seeing the video I just might have to do that instead this year!
  19. Very interesting! and well done too!
  20. I do hope it does as don't really think it is acceptable for a company that made rides which, after 20 years (in some cases) are still extremely smooth, to have any rattling issues with their new ones. I didn't think It rattled very much if at all when I went on Sunday. I had two rides in the front row, one in the back row, and one in the 4th row. The only time I noticed a rattle was when I was in the back but it only did that for a little. I didn't pay attention to which trains I were on so maybe it's just one train that rattles?
  21. I like both but I think it works better in the park index even though I forget that info is there. Putting it in the park index would make me look at that part of the website more often, not just the forums. As long as there is a link to the trip report in the forum, I think that is what I would prefer. I like both ideas though.
  22. Went to the park yesterday. Crowds were pretty light for most of the morning but seemed to pick up early afternoon. I went with a couple of friends who had never been before and they had a blast. The bring your friends for $15 is the best, I need to go on those days more often. We first went to Diamondback, rode it 3 times and it was a walk-on every time. Other than Apollo's Chariot, this is my favorite B&M Hyper. Crews were flying even with the seatbelts. I can't remember how many crew members they had before checking seats but I feel like they added one person to each side (3 per side), It's been awhile since I had been there though. We hit Beast next and wow, it was so smooth. For awhile there I thought I was on a steel coaster it was that smooth. Crews on the Beast were running very slow stacking all 3 trains. I assume it was just because it was early. We hit Backlot next, 20 minute wait. I think this is a fun little ride but they didn't have any of the effects working. It's been 7 years since I rode it so I don't know if that's a recent development or not. Vortex was next and it wasn't as rough as I remember thinking it was. Did that one twice, 10 minute wait and a 20 minute wait. Tried Windseeker for the first time and I liked it. I'm not a fan of any type of tower ride so I was shocked with how much I enjoyed it. My friends did Firehawk next, I skipped that and hopped on Banshee. They waited 30 minutes for Firehawk and my wait was about 20 for Banshee. We all met up at Banshee and rode 2 more times, 25 minute wait tops. It is so much fun and seemed to be going through the elements much quicker than on media day. I haven't ridden many coasters but Banshee now claims my #2 spot knocking Millennium Force down (Maverick #1). The Bat was next. I didn't catch the name of the guy who was on the mic but he was the best all day. He was cracking jokes and just having a good time. The bat really is a great coaster, really enjoyed it. We went then went back and hit Racer and Flight of Fear. FoF broke down so that made the wait about 45minutes but we didn't mind since it got us out of the heat for awhile. We ended the day with one more on Diamondback and Banshee before the storms started to roll in. Next time I go I really need to take my good camera, the park looked great plus there are so many good shots of Banshee I'd like to get. Hope you enjoyed!
