^^dumb question, but what are the purpose of the white disks next to Pipe Scream? Shade, decoration, a weird "close call" when riding, just because? To me they look out of place. The midway looks great though! -

That is definitely one of my new favorite trains. I love the look of it, and I think it looks even better on the track! -
My top ten would be: 1) All RMC 2) El Toro 3) I305 4) Skyrush 5) Kumba 6) Montu 7) Expedition GeForce 8) Helix 9) Kawasemi 10) Katun the last 4 would be higher, but I doubt I'll be getting out of the country anytime soon

They are reclined like the Wing Coasters, at least it felt like that to me. I feel that is the reason they can get away without the dropping floor. Seats and restraints were really comfortable too! -

I was about to say something about that, I noticed it in line. I really hope they do not use it in the future. I think the ride is fine the way it is, although I didn't believe it was very forceful, they really really really should not neuter it! I did love how you really crawled through the in-line twist, makes you nervous coming out of your seat like that but it was great. I thought it lead nicely into the pretty forceful carousel at the end. It really is a great ride, and it looks great too! -

Just got back from media day and was really pleasantly surprised with Banshee! It's smooth, comfortable, and just really really fun! Being in a rush to get out of my house this morning I forgot to take my good camera to get pictures, but it looks terrific! Themeing looks great, a little too much on the fog by the Banshee sign but who cares, it looks great! Kings Island has got a real winner with Banshee! -

^^first of all, it's not on Kings Islands Twitter page and secondly, that "tweet" is way over 140 characters. Going to call bull on that. Just my opinion. and if it's sarcasm, I guess I don't get internet sarcasm yet. -

^Banshee is on Fast lane Plus, Bat doesn't look like it is on either. -
I went to the park today for my first trip there. I was pretty happy with my trip there, I think it's a very nice looking park, and much bigger than I thought it would be. The longest line all day was the line to get into the park...it took 45 minutes to enter! I figured I would try to ride everything once and call it a day but lines were pretty short. I hit DDD first and it was about a 40 minute wait. Really liked it, it was only my 2nd Gerstlauer but I am a big fan of theirs so far! DDD was my 2nd favorite ride there today and rode it twice. I went to Mindbender next, it was only a 20 minute wait. This was a really pleasant surprise, the loops had some great force and it was just a lot of fun to ride. 4th favorite ride today. Batman broke down as soon as I got in line so I headed off to Goliath. The wait was only 15 minutes at most. I rode in the back which gave me a lot of great air time (I'm pretty light so I float easy). The Helix gave me some forces I wasn't expecting which was nice! 3rd favorite ride today and rode it 3 times. I got lost trying to find Superman and ended up on the Mine Train, it was a walk-on. It was decent, not bad, not great. 10th favorite ride. I found Superman, only a 20 minute wait. I really to prefer the B&M flyer to Vekoma, Vekoma just hurts and I hate every single minute of it. This was my first Superman clone and was much better than I thought, and a lot more comfortable. 5th favorite ride of the day. GASM was next and it was pretty smooth for the most part. It really is a pretty ride and I like looking at it over the water. Not as pretty as Mean Streak but a much better ride! 7th favorite ride of the day. I heard all the horror stories about Ninja so I prepared for the worst. It was a walk-on but I didn't think it was all that bad. I rode in the front and tried to brace myself for the headbanging, it worked for a little but the corkscrews always get me. 9th favorite ride of the day. I went back to Batman and walked on to it 3 times in a row. This was my first Batman clone and boy did I love every second of it! The intensity just keeps getting better as the ride goes on. Loved it and by far my favorite ride of the day as well as a challenging Raptor for my favorite invert. Rode Batman 4 times. I hit Georgia Cyclone next and it was rough! I really liked the layout but it was a little too rough for me. 8th favorite today. Georgia Scorcher is by far the best stand-up I've been on (only other two are Mantis and Vortex at Carowinds). I usually don't like stand-ups but I really enjoyed the Scorcher. 6th favorite ride today. Overall it was a pretty good experience for my first visit to SFOG and first Six Flags park. Other than the wait to get in to the park and some operators taking time to gossip rather than dispatch trains I really enjoyed it.

Son of Beast was built on a bit if a downhill. So even from standing by the go-karts, it didn't quite look 200+ feet tall. I disagree. Even though I never got to ride SOB, every time I drove passed KI or was in the park, I thought SOB was an incredibly impressive structure. Banshee on the other hand does not impress me that much. I've only gone passed KI twice since the lift hill has been up and I just haven't felt that awe inspiring size and massiveness that SOB gave me. This doesn't at all mean that I want SOB back. I'm very excited to try out Banshee on media day. I do think the most impressive part of this coaster is looking at it from the valley up towards the lift. It would be nice to see some of the park developed back into that area so we can enjoy those views! Just my 2 cents on it. I think all wooden coasters are more eye catching. Wood coasters take more time to construct. I just think they are breath taking I agree. One of my favorite coasters to look at, yet one of my least favorites to ride is Mean Streak. -

I am guessing they are going to Adlabs Imagica. Nitro is their new B&M coaster. The have a coaster called Deep Space (Space Junk clue). They also have a coaster called Gold Rush Express (from the mine train clue). The Princess Bride starred Cary Elwes who was Robin Hood in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Adlabs Imagica has a coaster called Bandits of Robin Hood. Adlabs Imagica is my final answer.

B&M Wing Rider Coasters - Love or Hate?
PVA62 replied to jfruge's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't hate them, nor do I Love them, but I think they are pretty cool. I have only been on Gatekeeper and Wild Eagle. I did not ride either of these until real late in the season this year. I had heard so much crap about how Gatekeeper was so disappointing that I lowered my expectations for it A LOT! I planned on riding it twice, once on both sides but I ended up riding it about 6 or 7 times that day. I really enjoy the back a lot. It wasn't rough for me and I loved watching the front of the train go through all the elements. Wild Eagle I thought was just really fun. I lowered my expectations a lot for these Wing Riders but I enjoyed them, I had fun on them. Yes they aren't the most intense but that's okay, I had fun. -
What rides have you ridden in their debut season?
PVA62 replied to Olsor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Millennium Force - Cedar Point 2000 Top Thrill Dragster - Cedar Point 2003 Maverick - Cedar Point - 2007 Gatekeeper - Cedar Point 2013 Primeval Whirl - Animal Kingdom 2002 Exterminator - Kennywood 1999 Back Lot Stunt Coaster - Canada's Wonderland 2005 That's all I can think of. I'll be adding at least Banshee this year. -
