  1. It wasn't even a firm opinion. I said it could possibly be an inconvenience to some riders. Everyone is making me out to be this bad, evil person and I don't get why. I didn't do anything wrong.
  2. Again, I've said I'm excited to ride it and am going to the park this summer to do so. I said it could possibly be an inconvenience to riders, and like I said, I have enough things going on in my life that I don't need to be belittled and sworn at on the internet. I get this enough in real life. I've said the same thing several times about how excited I am to ride it, but it's like people ignore that part just to step all over me.
  3. And the personal attacks keep raining in. Again I'll reference a previous quote:
  4. I don't understand why this matters or why there is even a pointless discussion about it. It has OTSR's. BIG F**KING DEAL!!! Lots of coasters do. Lots of coasters don't. Deal with it. Here's a thought. Wait until the ride opens. If you like it. Ride it a lot. If you don't like it. Don't ride it. There you go... I've said several times in this thread that I'm excited to ride it and am going out of my way to drive 6-7 hours to ride it, so while I have a minor issue with it, it's not a "ride killer" to me as it is to others. Inconvenience, on the other hand, yes. I have a lot of issues going on in my life right now and would appreciate not being stepped all over like that. I get enough belittling and disrespect in real life scenarios.
  5. The main issue is, to me anyway, that there's a ride in the very same park that goes upside down 4 times and doesn't have OTSR's, yet a ride that has 0 inversions and has no need for them does...especially considering the fact that there are umpteen rides similar to it that operate with lap bars. The absolute best case scenario is that the restraints don't cause any discomfort and are basically just "there". In other words, they'd still be useless/pointless. As someone who's not exactly tall (5'7") and has had issues with similar restraints, I think it's a reasonable concern.
  6. Was at Cedar Point in '03 when a monsoon decided to hit...we could barely see in front of us, but we saw that employees were opening a building for people to take cover in. Turns out it was the "basement" of Iron Dragon's station, which was pretty cool to see.
  7. I pray that my head doesn't get bashed around like it did at the end of Storm Runner.
  8. Only when I'm drunk.
  9. Right now, the lame and out-dated LG Versa Probably going to get a Droid or a Palm Pre when I can afford it.
  10. When I was younger I was all about B&M, but right now it's Intamin by a decent margin. They're responsible for my top 4 rides (Millennium Force, El Toro, Storm Runner, and Kingda Ka in that order), with Kumba being the first B&M on my list at #6.
  11. First Park: Knoebel's First Coaster: Phoenix First New Park: King's Dominion First New Coaster: Intimidator 305 or Flying Turns
  12. Great video, thanks for sharing. Unfortunately I was unable to go to WDW as a kid, so I'm trying to make it a point to get there sometime soon.
  13. As of now I'm going with Brazil, but look for Ivory Coast as a darkhorse. Drogba and the Toure brothers (Kolo and Yaya) are no joke.
  14. -Haunted Mansion -Bumper cars -Whipper -Flume -Skloosh (if you don't mind being drenched) -Merry Go Round -Pioneer Train Just off the top of my head. I guess the Flyers would be considered a spin and puke, but I still wouldn't miss it.
  15. I'm curious as to whether or not they'll expand on this area in the future with any major attractions or just leave it as is. Not sure how much room they have to work with
  16. Knoebel's Hersheypark Dorney Park Lakemont Park Six Flags Great Adventure Cedar Point Universal Studios Florida Islands of Adventure Busch Gardens Tampa Busch Gardens Williamsburg
  17. I was about to post the very same thing, don't pick a school based on a theme park. I can tell you that from my experience (though I'm a law student I'm pretty sure this will still apply) you're not goingto be in a situation where you have all that much free time to be running to parks. That isn't to say that there won't be any, but education at this level is so time consuming and important (not to mention expensive) that the very last thing on my mind would what parks are nearby. Truth. I kinda lucked into being close to a theme park at my old school (I was like 40 minutes from Cedar Point), but I wasn't there long enough to take advantage.
  18. Do you like Nsync? I used to hear them on the radio in first grade. What ever happened to them? The 2000's happened to them. But yeah, I was actually looking at USF to transfer to because I have family near there, but if you're looking at a school near an amusement park, I'd MUCH rather go to UCF.
  19. While one part of me thinks it's questionable to tell another dude via text message to pound it, the thought of him receiving hundreds of the same message is hilarious, so I did my part.
  20. Drug Dealer Girl - Mike Posner Can't C Me - Tupac
  21. Every time I ride the salt and pepper shakers (the Satellite for the non-locals) at Knoebel's, I feel like I'm going to die.
  22. The old school Orioles logo:
  23. I don't know what I'm doing differently when I ride Storm Runner but I've probably been on that ride 40 - 50 times in every seat on the train and never once hit my head on anything. It happens to me at the end of the ride, that little twist/turn section after the flying snake dive. It doesn't help that I'm kinda short (5'7"), but even if I brace myself for it, the change of direction still manages to bash my head off of one of the bars.
  24. Sure beats the original atrocities that destroyed the sides of my head on Storm Runner.
