  1. High pitched screamers on rides make me want to jack them in the face...so annoying.
  2. Umm...wat? Not entirely sure how this fits into the red and yellow B&M track/mystery/Carowinds motif. If I'm missing it, feel free to enlighten me.
  3. By the looks of it, they have a crapload of room to expand.
  4. I had a dream I rode it last night. It had some decent pops of air IIRC
  5. It's a bigger, more intense version of Miler's kiddie coaster model, that's the only customization. It's pretty much a clone of Ravine Flyer 3 from Waldameer, just bigger.
  6. Decided to expand on this list: Islands of Adventure Dueling Dragons - Fire (lines) Dueling Dragons - Ice (lines) Pteranadon Flyers (lines) Universal Studios Orlando Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster (family didn't want to) Cedar Point Jr. Gemini (too tall) Woodstock Express (not enough time) Lakemont Park Leap-the-dips (closed) Six Flags Great Adventure Runaway Mine Train (closed right before we got on) Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train (no interest) Road Runner Railway (no interest)
  7. They're theming it after Noel Devine, obviously.
  8. I've been on: Raptor Talon Montu Alpengeist Great Bear Batman: The Ride (SFGAdv) And I'd have to say it's between Montu and Raptor.
  9. Yeah, now that I think about it more, this is the first coaster that I've ridden before and thoroughly enjoyed that is being removed. It's a big bummer, it was an awesome compliment to Apollo and Alpie, and some of the people I went to the park with even preferred Wolf over both of those. I wish I could get down there before it closes, and I hope it's predecessor doesn't disappoint.
  10. Loved it when I rode in '02...gonna miss it big time.
  11. Do you have to buy the tickets for a specific date or can you redeem them any time?
  12. I really hope it's not a vertical lift. I don't think it is, but I really hope not.
  13. Now I'm pretty sure it might be plausible. Just because he talked about other coasters doesn't mean anything other than he's just like the rest of us. I'd be willing to put money on saying KD's management certainly wouldn't tell lower-level employees what's coming.
  14. Not really, as we know what we're getting with Black Diamond: a nice, tame, family borderline "coaster". We don't know what FT is going to be like, we only have an idea based on the older models. To me with the construction, they're saying "screw you paying guests, we'll leave the ride there and work at an intentionally slow pace for no apparent reason"
  15. Roughly 1,100 songs on my 4 GB iPod Touch.
  16. You must be seeing something I'm not, because every time I go there has been nothing. It just sits there while time is being wasted. Maybe I'm a bit irrational, but it's been 3 years now. Time to actually become productive and finish the ride.
  17. Name me one coaster company builds wooden flying turns. Heck, name me one that's built one in the last 70 years. Well....? None, but at least hire a consultant or something instead of being so hard-headed. I think we've all been patient enough now. Even though I live near the place and can go regardless of when it opens, it's still ridiculous. They couldn't even finish a traditional woodie on time...I think there comes a point where you need to realize you can't do everything yourself. If they ever build the mountain woodie I've dreamed of for years I pray they hire GCI or Gravity Group, because if they don't it'll take 8 years to finish.
  18. I love Knoebel's and everything, but the way they've handled this is a complete joke. I don't care how new of a ride it is, it doesn't take 3 years to finish one ride. They need to stop thinking they can do things themselves and hire a company that knows how to do things efficiently. They didn't even open Twister until July of '99...it's getting old.
  19. Good TR...enjoyed reading. I'm sure this has been asked before, but why is Dominator's loop painted a different color than the rest of the ride is? It looks really bad.
  20. That hasn't even been proven yet. I said earlier in this thread about if they wanted to keep this a secret why would they put a label that says giga for the public to see? Because they didn't expect people to zoom in with their cameras on the shipping label?
  21. I don't know what other rides would qualify. Dominator I wouldn't say does because everyone knew what they were getting. Volcano maybe? But I don't know what the public opinion is on that ride.
  22. I was down there for Senior Week and wanted to get the credits either there or at the pier, but I had some "prior obligations". We were gonna go last year too, but it was way too expensive.
  23. I'd probably rank the inverts I've been on intensity wise as follows: Batman: The Ride Raptor Montu Talon Great Bear Alpengeist
  24. I'd recommend the WaWa less than a mile away from the park, their MTO sandwiches are money. As for in the park, stick with Panda Express or Papa John's. I had a bad experience ordering elsewhere (I forget what it was called, a little place right by Panda Express/Gotham City area)
