With all the outside the park additions to Cedar Point, they probably spent more. Which is why no B&M this year.

Well, it was going to be BGW next week, but I think I'm going to postpone it to next year so I can ride InvadR. Probably Six Flags White Water instead next week. Dry park will probably be Kings Island or Dollywood in October.

Attraction wise, 2017 is pretty lacking. But, looking at what Cedar Fair is doing with the hotels and Sports Park, this may be their most expensive year yet. So, I'll give them a pass for 2017 on attractions.

Cedar Fair is having WAY too much fun teasing everybody this year.

This site is way to B&M happy. There are some other very good and unique coaster manufactures out there Well there waterpark is thin, and CW has an amazing flat ride collection that continues to get better every year. A lot of the coasters at CW are low capacity so having an extremely solid flat collection helps spread the love Yeah, I'm not B&M happy, I was just making an observation that Cedar Fair was breaking the trend. I got no problems with there being no new B&M's in 2017 in North America. I also would love to see other coaster manufacturers come and build more in America. But it's looking like 2017 will be a very GCI and S&S kind of year.

Yeah, this is kind of what I expected from MiA next year...not much.

So, is the slide tower going in Skyriders spot? Just curious. And why does Canada get all the cool flats? Are they afraid to bring them to America? And lastly. 2017 is looking very B&Mless, unless Six Flags adds one...Which is unlikely.

Didn't they use the money from the Soak City in San Diego for the first renovation on Breakers? If they are selling Wildwater Kingdom, then they may be using that money for the second renovation on Breakers. I heard a rumor they may add a resort hotel for Carowinds. I wonder what park they'll sell next for that project?

Maybe Cedar Point is just trolling us with that RMC marker and Cedar Point gets a new GCI in 2018. I'm just not convinced Cedar Fair is working with RMC yet. That KD announcemet kind of made it clear to me.

Well, if Triotech isn't going in MiA, then it may be safe to say Cedar Fair tried it out decided to go another direction. I've been on Voyage at Knott's and really liked it. I think Cedar Fair should keep using them...But we'll see. Does MiA have a building they could use for a Triotech ride? Also, I'm kind of puzzled why we haven't seen any interactive game like additions this year. KI, KD didn't announce anything for their action theaters, so I wonder if CW will for theirs. Maybe nobody is getting an interactive ride next year...Possibly no B&M either.

Since Wildwater Kingdom was shutdown, I'm just going to go ahead and say it...I see this park being the next one to get the boot by Cedar Fair.

Maybe the reason nobody may be getting a new B&M next year is because Cedar Point is getting most of the capital, again. Two hotel renovations and a Sports park has to be very expensive. CW is probably getting waterpark expansion. Which will be nicer than MiA's new garbage can.

Was I disappointed by the announcement? Yes. But, I can get over it because KD has the best coaster in the world.

I have to give KD credit, they've done a damn good job keeping this new addition a secret. KI, Valleyfair, SFOG, SFGAd and SFNE should take note.

Here's another thought...Is Cedar Fair through with Triotech? Not one dark ride or Interactive experience announced today. I was expecting something like that but no. Canada's Wonderland already has a Triotech. MiA would be an almost impossibility. This leaves only KD...And they've been teasing the hell out of Hurler...so I'm thinking 2 years without Triotech, maybe Cedar Fair wasn't that happy with them after all.

I may be burned at the stake for saying this but I hope they don't RMC Hurler. I've had a change of heart. Seriously, since that mysterious green B&M is still up for grabs, I'd like to see it brought to KD. Just tear down Hurler and put the B&M there. Hopefully it's a launch wing coaster. Now for my reason...I don't want Cedar Fair to do the Six Flags thing. Convert wooden coasters to Hybrids. I'd rather CF just bring in RMC and build coasters from the ground up like Silver Dollar City and Dollywood did. I'm very much thinking this is what Cedar Point is going to do in Mean Streak's spot...So really...I'd prefer Cedar Point to get the first RMC in the CF chain. But if I'm wrong, it's not a big deal...I'll still ride that RMC'd Hurler with a smile on my face.

I think Winterfest works perfectly for me. I'm a huge Carolina Panthers fan. So, Carowinds on Saturday and Panthers on Sunday...Football season just got better!

So has Cedar Point made any kind of announcement of anything else happening or is this it? I mean, I understand it's a lot, with two hotel renovations, a Sports Park and Water Park Expansion...But just curious if this is it for the water park and Mean Streak. I imagine if there is anything else, it'll be for 2018.

Think I'll hold off on that Minnesota trip another year. Or years...No telling when Valleyfair is going to get a new coaster. I can ride a starflyer at my own home park.

Wow...Since KI, Carowinds and WOF got Winterfest, that means KD got left out in the cold again! Unless that Saturday announcement for KD is something big enough to make people not even care about Winterfest. I honestly thought that green B&M was coming to WOF. Now I'm not even sure anymore. Who in the heck is getting that green B&M?

Yeah, I'm kind of curious myself what will happen to the Yo-Yo ride now. It looks pretty lame compared to the Zephyr...They definitely should just take it down and put something there in its place. And as far as the Winterfest announcement, how do we know that they won't run the rides? Sometimes the weather in the Carolinas can be pretty warm in November and December. Surely they'll run some of the coasters. I don't expect they'll run them all but basically do what SFOG does and just run a limited amount of rides during the event. SFOG basically shuts down the whole back side of the park during HITP.

Well, that page makes it seem like that's all there is. I was kind of expecting another wave pool since a lot of the other parks have two. I mean this is Cedar Point...Shouldn't they have two? The last time I was there at Soak City was in 2013 and their wave pool was kind of lame. Anyways, where the hell is that knott's slide going to? Since it's not CP, maybe Canada's Wonderland perhaps?
