  1. Park was packed when I left, with Batman's line creeping into the outside, winding sections. Makes sense to me.
  2. I should be there in about ten minutes. Stopped by my mother's first.
  3. I see where you're coming from, but I have a feeling that language was chosen as a result of the SFStL version (alongside SFOT) being the first ones. I always felt the chain had every intention of reproducing these rides across several of the parks.
  4. Another tragedy at Knoebels today: An update:
  5. I like this news. It's good to see more interest in dark rides in parks outside of Disney and Universal. Me too. I'm glad to see the company take several steps to really round out the offerings at each of their parks.
  6. People tend to forget that there are more logistics behind a change like that than what we see as guests. The building actually serves several purposes at the moment. As Harry at GAH pointed out, in addition to the two terror trails inside it, the back is storage and the complete left side of the building, which was added on to since the days when it was used as a ride, is used by the games dept today for prize storage.
  7. So there we go. JLs to SFOG and SFGAdv this year.
  8. I think it's pretty much a given that this will go in Chiller's old spot based on the cleanup that's already been underway there. And while it's certainly possible that a flat or two may come along with it to further round out and reopen the former Old Country area, I'm not going to hold my breath over it. JL coming to the park and getting a section reopened makes me happy enough already.
  9. Yep, that pretty much settles it. It'll be cool to finally experience it!
  10. Yea, the flat-ride lineup at Carowinds won't really improve until they get around to installing those five new ones they acquired.
  11. This is what got me into it. I wear a Fitbit but I suck at getting steps, I was great for awhile but lately I sort of gave up on it. With this stupid game I've been over 10,000 steps every day this week (though I won't be today, lol). Ditto. In the past it was hard to motivate myself to go out for walks, but now I've been out for at least a couple hours each night this week after work. Pokemon Go may end up becoming the most effective workout regime I've ever done. I didn't really mean that as a compliment. The fact that you took it as one says all we need to know, though.
  12. It looks like framework for a new building. Perhaps for a building that would host a particular dark ride. Perhaps a dark ride themed around comic book superheroes trying to save a certain city from comic book supervillians.
  13. ^ I was going to say "act like an immature @$$hole, but I like the way you said it better. How about if they say no, then suck it up and don't give the workers a hard time when they're just doing their jobs? Is that really such a hard concept to grasp?
  14. ^ Absolutely. If a flat ride package ends up in Old Country, I imagine that plus Movietown being rethemed all to DC. Makes the most sense to me.
  15. To which second entrance are you referring? The old season pass entrance?
  16. We almost saw Turbulence too. Thank god that POS never materialized.
  17. I rode multiple times a couple weeks ago and never had a problem. Very comfortable.
  18. Yeah, but I don't know training that can fix bad attitudes and poor work ethic. Exactly. Only way to minimize that is more selective and effective hiring practices.
  19. I think they're JL:BfM cars. Makes the most sense.
  20. x 100 It's almost worth going just to experience this ride. I rode it last year to kill time while Rikki was off doing something else. One of the craziest flat rides I've ever been on.
  21. Repeat after me... Theme Parks Do Not Give A Single Sh*t About Wood To Steel Coaster Ratios, Anniversaries Or Bull*** Coaster Feature Quotas Like Number Of Inverting Coasters Or Stupid Sh*t Like That ... God damn I prefer the handy, easy-to-remember acronym "TPDNGASSAWTSCRAOBCFQLNOICOSSLT". Much simpler.
