  1. Oh man, that actually sounds kind of awesome!
  2. ^ I'm glad they changed it to that name, a nice throwback to its origin as Yum Yum Palace.
  3. ^ Excuse me, but this is a classy website. Please refrain from posting photos of disgusting, immoral, deplorable trash like that dirty whore of a coaster. Impressionable kids visit here, for God's sake!
  4. Awww GODDAMMIT, I have plans for October 8th I can't get out of. I'm going to miss Phall Phunfest again! *kicks a kitten*
  5. Registering your passes is super simple now. They give you instructions on how to complete the process online. Took no longer than a minute for me to finish up the 2017 conversion.
  6. I don't understand how this is such a difficult concept to grasp. When I visited Great Adventure this weekend, I purposefully ate dinner around 4:30 in order to avoid the crowds. Doing so enabled me to visit one of the normally busy restaurants and wait only five minutes for food when the wait is normally a half hour. I used my snack on the dining plan later on in the evening when I got hungry again before I left for the day.
  7. ^ Tempting, but not worth it without any discounts on tickets. TBH, I haven't been all that compelled lately to make the trip back up to Dorney. I have fun whenever I go, but I generally have other things I'd prefer spending my money on. I probably won't be back until I decide to buy Platinum passes for a multi-park Cedar Fair trip.
  8. ^ You going to provide more details from your alleged side of the story or are you going to spread it out over the next twenty posts?
  9. The two times I've been to Cleveland I've made sure to swing by Melt. Soooooo good.
  10. No surprises here, but that loop looks cool! Can't wait to try it out. Well there ya go.
  11. I didn't realize that Fitzgerald was so instrumental in converting the Safari into what it is today. Harry seemed to indicate there was a good chance of the park losing the Safari if it didn't go through that transformation. News came out that a new park president was announced for SFFT, so the current rumor is Neal Thurman (SFFT's former president) will be coming to New Jersey. I wouldn't mind that, SFFT has received great praise over the last couple of years.
  12. In all honesty, if you want good BBQ, most can do better than Famous Dave's, not just Texans.
  13. I misinterpreted some of the initial clues. When I saw photos from those heights, combined with questions about how fast does it take to get from point A to point B (I don't remember the actual rides they used), my mind went to transport ride. You see, THIS is exactly why I don't participate in speculation! People see just how much of an idiot I actually am!
  14. Ok, I officially rescind that sky ride prediction I made earlier.
  15. Can I just say it's refreshing to see a positive reaction to the potential news of a Super Loop addition? Especially one DC-themed? You get so sick of the "CARNIVUL RIED!1" "NAHT A COSTAH!" attitude that you sometimes forget there are actually reasonably-minded people out there.
  16. Pretty much all of my visits to Kings Dominion have been on their 7PM-12AM Friday nights in October for Haunt for the reasons Chuck laid out. Nary a line in the place!
  17. According to news reports, she had a tooth knocked out and a couple others damaged and will need oral surgery to fix it. No one, even her, seems to know what hit her, and I doubt they'll find out. Odds are it was just another guest's loose object, most likely a phone. I'd be very surprised to hear any more about the issue.
  18. Those 4D S&S coasters ARE a lot of fun. I was surprised by Joker at SFGAdv and now ride it whenever I visit. I think it's inevitable that (some) SFStL fanboys will whine, bitch, and complain if one of those gets added to the park, but I encourage people to give it a try. It may surprise you.
  19. This is going to be way out in left field, but f**k it, I don't participate much in speculation and I like working with clues. I think a transport ride is being added. Like a sky ride or something. I know that sounds farfetched, but that's what I'm thinking.
  20. My only visit to SFStL occurred in 2013 and I had a great time. This is coming from someone who in the same year would be at SFGAdv twice a week. You'd think multiple rides on El Toro every week would've spoiled me too much to remotely enjoy myself at SFStL the way people are talking here. Local fanboys, IMO, always tend to be more critical of their home park than everyone else. I think every right-minded individual would choose SFGAdv over SFStL any day, and yet I see plenty of people rip into SFGAdv on fansites and Facebook groups for the most asinine of reasons, some of whom outright protest visiting the park anymore because now it just "sucks" according to them. Your park may be not be Disney, Universal, or even at the level of a few of the other Six Flags or Cedar Fair parks, but it does not "suck".
  21. ^ I DEFINITELY need to take up this habit as well!
  22. ^ Yea, I've noticed that recently. We left after 9PM the last time I was there and none of the lights in Plaza del Carnival were on. Big Wheel was completely dark, too. Bums me out a bit, considering how much I like vibrant light packages and how well I always thought the park operated them in the past. In other news, someone apparently got bitch slapped by a loose article on El Toro:
