Favorite Coaster Color Scheme
thrillseeker4552 replied to CoasterExpert13's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I might be a bit biased, but I really like the red/yellow/silver scheme on Silver Bullet with teal and red trains. It's pretty unique! -

Your First B&M Coaster?
thrillseeker4552 replied to TheCoasterKid211's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I created a thread exactly like this a long time ago... not sure where it is buried now. It was probably merged. To answer the question, my first was Silver Bullet at Knott's. -

I personally think that this double/single spine track looks WAY better than Intamin's standard 4/3-tube track. The colors also look fantastic. Can't wait to see it topped off! -
^I visited yesterday on Super Bowl Sunday and crowds were heavier than expected. Most lines were around 20 minutes, with Tatsu, Twisted Colossus, and Goliath around 30 minutes. My prediction is that the crowds will be there (don't expect it to be deserted), but it will definitely be more tolerable than summer, of course. All rides should be running two trains (TC on 3) except Full Throttle (they might bring the second one out by this weekend, but yesterday it was on one). Make sure you get a ride on the green train of TC...it's amazing how much smoother and faster it feels.

This is fantastic! I rode the Top Scan at Lagoon and it instantly became my favorite flat ride. A park can never have too many flats. -

#Troll? If not then: Just because you personally do not like a coaster does not mean it is a waste of steel, nor does it make it pointless. When there are millions of other people out there who love the coasters. If you don't enjoy the coasters, then just skip them when you are at the park. But to say it is a waste of steel, or pointless is a bit harsh. Even if you think those coasters are weak compared to other coasters in their category (agree with both actually) I can't imagine anyone riding them and not having fun on them. If you can't enjoy your rides on Intimidator and Leviathan I actually feel a little bad for you. They're both still very good rides, and Leviathan is probably my favorite coaster in that park. I agree. People rank and criticize coasters all the time, but if one goes on a ride like Leviathan and sits there with a frown on their face, I truly feel bad for that person. -

Saturday, March 22nd, 1975 Happy Opening Day 1975! Today, Adventure Kingdom opens for its 6th season. New this season, as the first expansions of Phase One are beginning, are an all-new extended midway, a classic American eatery, more facilities, and Kingdom Railroad--3,500 feet of railroad track that wanders through the back woods of the park. Attendance was considerably smaller than expected this opening day, but with even BIGGER expansions planned for the future (!!!), we predict a large increase in attendance starting in 1976. Let's check out some photos on this rather quiet opening day. (Be sure to read the captions...I've sneaked in a few hints about the future expansions!). Construction walls are down. The 1975 expansion of Phase One is complete. Let's check it out. On the east side of the extended midway is Kingdom Railroad. This family train ride has 3,500 feet of track and circles a large section of the park's wooded areas. On the opposite side, as clearly seen, is our all-new American '50s Diner. Themed to the '50s, this classic eatery serves the most American foods...with burgers, fries, chicken, soda, and shakes! With the American spirit being so well-received, I wonder what else may come along those lines. A view inside (please understand the limits of RCT3). The expansion also included a small bakery--Sweets and Treats. What's more American than junk food? Trees are already getting cleared for the next year's expansion. What a convenient location next to the American '50s Diner... Next year is a big year...and not just for Adventure Kingdom. A view of the deeply wooded area the Railroad travels through. Passing over the lake. Back on the other side of the bridge, guests are enjoying Treetop Swings. Shooting Star, the park's current flagship attraction, had an almost non-existent line. It definitely has a high capacity. How much longer do you think Shooting Star will be the star of the park? (Pun intended) Don't worry Runaway Express...we didn't forget about you. It's just becoming easier to do that lately... One last view of the park. Wow, has it grown! Next year will be big...stay tuned.

Nice photos! Thanks for sharing. I'd really like to ride one of these Sky Rocket II models sometime soon. If they are anything like Full Throttle, I'm happy! -

Thanks for the photos. The ending is quite funky, but I like it. It's like Top Thrill Dragster's straight section and Stealth's little hump had a baby. Nice colors too. I'm a little behind on this project; will it still have the drop towers a la Zumanjaro? -

Wow! Is that Intamin a shuttle coaster? That loop looks amazing. I'm having such a hard time keeping up with these China parks, but it's almost a good thing because I'm thoroughly surprised when I see photos! -
