Coaster inspired baby names

How about Jet Baby Jetpack? Obviously named after a jet coaster. This is simultaneously the best and worst thread ever. -

The weather forecast is very difficult to use in this particular way. Winds in Sandusky at ground level will be different from winds 200 feet up on a flat peninsula in the middle of Lake Erie. If you've come all this way, go and enjoy it. Expect nothing to be running at all and every surprise will be pleasant! -

Agreed completely with all of this post. I enjoy music, I enjoy a few rather obscure bands just because I enjoy their music. I used to go to some forums and other sites to try to find information about those, and I just don't go there anymore because of gatekeepers. Spotify is great for that now. Spotify doesn't judge, just lets you listen to what you enjoy no matter what it is. You can find some fun new bands that aren't necessarily all over the radio without anyone judging you for just discovering them now when they've OBVIOUSLY been touring small town coffee shops since 2006 and a REAL fan would support them BEFORE they had a hit song. Whatever, man. I also love the Beatles and U2 and Radiohead and several other huge bands. Sometimes things are popular because they're good, and hating things that are popular leads to also hating things that are good. Vampire Weekend is good. Lady Gaga is good. And this B&M giga is definitely gonna be good, because they all are. Doesn't benefit anybody to hate on it, so what's the point? Just "virtue signaling," or as we used to call it, fronting. There's so much out there to love, why not just love what you love, and don't worry about the rest? Least that's how I see it. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

Cool, well I was probably going to go ride this next year anyway no matter what the height, mainly because I love Kings Island. 300 feet is very marketable though, so worth the expense to get it to a round number. This will be a hit. I can't think of a giga coaster that hasn't been. People like coasters that are tall and fast. It's simple, but that's the philosophy that has driven the industry for over a century. -

Wildcat isn't bad for me, but I know I have a higher than average tolerance, like I can ride Boss multiple times and I thought Mean Streak was just fine. If you're sensitive, probably stay away. Comet is much better and Lightning Racer is just amazing. Definitely ride those two. -

You just got Prince Coaster. They're not going to build another one right away. -

I love Gatekeeper and Valravn, they're really fun. I've ridden them multiple times on every visit. I don't want relentless intensity; I'm at a theme park to relax. Roller coasters promise you danger and excitement, bring you right to the edge of it, and then set you down gently at the end without a scratch. Both Gatekeeper and Valravn deliver on that promise. -
The State Fair is really fun, their craft beer & whisky tent last year was awesome. Looked like it was a hit too, so I'd imagine they'd bring it back. The Fair has some pretty good rides that Kentucky Kingdom doesn't have, like 1001 Nachts. Also some mildly racist children's coasters that you can skip.

Fun weirdness! Will have to visit that candy store next time we're in MN. -
The modified plan seems good to me. Go to the museums you're interested in. Philly has a lot of them, and all the ones I went to were great (Ben Franklin, Art, Mutter, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell). That's what I was into, so you go to what you're into and I think you'll enjoy it. And seconded get a good steak. A good one. You're not going all the way to Philly so you can have a steak like you would get at an airport Charleys. Listen to Boldikus; he steered me to a good one. Also seconded do Hershey preview and breakfast at Knoebels. If possible, get to Hershey about an hour before preview begins so you can do the factory tour ride at Chocolate World just outside the park entrance.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

This one. Whatever a park offers to its own highest-tier season passholders, those are extended to a Platinum passholder from any park in the chain. What those benefits are varies from park to park, but whatever they are, you get 'em. Thanks for the clarifying question. -

Great yeah get it then. You'll have to buy it in park to get the discount, just show your platinum pass to the gift shop attendant and they'll ring you up. If you're even considering Fast Lane, this trip is special enough to you to justify it. -

Thanks! If I was to go on a Monday or Tuesday in a couple of weeks, how long could the wait for SV be on an average day that time of the year with good weather with/without a fast lane pass? No idea--I haven't been at this time of year since Steel Vengeance was built--but I will say that I have never, not once, regretted the purchase of a Fast Lane Plus at Cedar Point. It is always worth it. -

Yes you can! I have done so in the past with Platinum Passes from Worlds of Fun and Kings Island, and all the benefits have worked chainwide, including at Cedar Point. Cedar Fair's Platinum Pass is equivalent to the highest tier season pass at every single park in the chain. It's awesome.
