  2. Whoops, meant to put that in the Sea World corporate thread.
  3. Maybe one of these days I'll give it a chance. Just plenty of places that are higher on my bucket list. But I do want to go to the Grand Canyon, and I'll pretty much have to fly into Vegas to do it, so if they're serious about having something for everyone, I can get into it.
  4. I think you're assuming that all of the preferred parking spots are earmarked for Diamond Elite members, and they only sell the ones Diamond Elite members don't reserve. I highly doubt that's the case. Likely they have a number of those spots available for reservation and the rest they sell to whoever is willing to pay, and the number available for Diamond Elite members did in fact sell out.
  5. Awesome, love Voyage, and the Holiday World staff are so great when they offer walkbacks. Been on 2 Voyage walkbacks and both times it was a great experience. You got some really good rare shots there.
  6. Oh dear, I've made this about me again. Really didn't mean to. The coasters are being taken out, and what's left is almost universally hated. I don't consider the Big Apple Manhattan Coaster Express at New York New York (I believe that's its formal name) to be an essential experience. As for bars, I'm not wowed by celebrity. It's a nice excuse to double the price for the same quality. Give me a nice gastropub with craft beer and I'm good. Maybe Vegas has one of those?
  7. Yeah, see, except for food and drinks, nothing on that list really appeals to me. I really think it's the proximity to the Grand Canyon that even has me looking at it at all. Otherwise, it's the Ferris Wheel, the Mandalay Bay Aquarium, and the Mob Museum...and.... Yeah. I guess we're just more Orlando people than Vegas people.
  8. I've looked into Vegas several times and every time I do I think I could find a better quality version somewhere else. Maybe it's that I grew up with Ned Flanders' version of Vegas in my backyard. I would fly to LAS to go to national parks though.
  9. That's a great photo; the nee equipment has paid off! You can really see the details even in motion. Phoenix is a perfect coaster to test it on, too. Everyone has a reaction every time.
  10. Such an awesome cruise! Good food, good excursions, all the little details you'd expect from Disney. Glad you had fun!
  11. I've been waiting a long time to say this. SEA WORLD.
  12. Oh man, I played that Where's Waldo on NES back in the day. Never owned it, but a friend did. God, that's been what, almost 30 years probably.
  13. Love that song. I've had it on a solid rotation for about three months now. Love me some Chemical Brothers, so happy they have a new single.
  14. Oh man that grapefruit thing looks so good. Currently enjoying a Humperdinck's Double Black IPA. It's like a super sharp porter. So weird, so good. This is how to chill after a SFoT day.
  15. The moon cars were actually part of the Missouri section if I remember correctly, but you've got a point with the log flume. I mean they weren't going for 100% historical accuracy, but it was still cool because Angus Wynne wanted you to feel like you'd stepped into another part of the world that you've never been to before. If guests don't want that now, then so be it. But that's a shame. You're right about the Moon Cars. The original entrance was where the picnic pavilion entrance is now. I found an old map on the Internet (because looking for it was way more fun than arguing about theming at a Six Flags park, because honestly stabbing my hand with a knife is more fun that arguing about theming at a Six Flags park), and it shows the original layout and entrance. Enjoy! https://bit.ly/2QlOJKj
  16. You act like this park under original Six Flags and Warner Bros. didn't do things like put the Moon Cars and Log Flume in the Spain section, you know, themed for Spain's burgeoning automotive and timber industries. Look, if people were telling the park they wanted highly themed areas, they'd do it. The guests are saying we don't really care about it, so the park doesn't really care about it. I'd say that meets the definition of being responsive to guest concerns.
  17. That looks like a really great time. Go raibh maith agat as roinnt!
  18. I think you're cupfused. This is the greatest ride in the history of peanut butter cup themed rides.
  19. They vary. Last time I was there, they had apple, peach, and Time Traveler. We called the last one Futurebread/Yumsounds.
  20. I mean, was anyone actually expecting it to fit the theme? This is the park that just as they changed Scooby Doo into Justice League and ran the risk of everything in DC plaza being themed to DC, narrowly escaped that horrific fate by turning Villains Cafe into JB's.
  21. Original cinnamon bread is $6.99, other flavours are $7.99. I've never been evacuated from the cave, but no there are no emergency exits. There's the incline railway at the end or there's walking back to the entrance, that's it. Otherwise, Chiselphane has it covered above.
  22. Oh man, that is awesome. Best 2019 addition?
