  1. Also, not applicable for the rest of this year, but for anyone doing some planning, during the Fair there's like a dozen more bars including a giant craft whiskey tent.
  2. Yeah, if they can do it in the mountains of New Jersey, they definitely won't have a problem here.
  3. Sooner than you think. We'll be soliciting feedback for new / closed / renamed rides here in a few months and we're looking to have the poll opened up for voting in early January. Thank you so much for all the work y'all put into it. It's very new, sure, but it's already the best poll out there.
  4. It was an exciting time to be a teenager for sure. Personally, I begged my dad to go to Cedar Point or Universal Islands of Adventure...but he would not. So now I'm taking my kids to all the theme parks, because dads always live out what they couldn't do as kids....
  5. Well, this is probably the best these awards have ever been...I'm going to be positive and say this is a good direction to go in. They should go much farther down this path and become a good award show.
  6. The problem is that it's gotten itself stuck in a rock. They're conducting a nationwide search to find someone worthy of removing it.
  7. Bigfoot on the Strip has lost their lawsuit. https://www.therolladailynews.com/news/20190904/judge-review-of-branson-attraction-was-not-defamatory
  8. ^ True, but Jersey Devil is actually a good name. Glad to hear the plan is to have the moving station. That really helps.
  9. The real question is can they sell $200k worth of ads along that new path?
  10. ^ Yep, no more deforestation, just open pit lithium mines!!! Oh.... Have fun on your trip!
  11. Nice man! Glad you liked Steel Vengeance. It's fantastic.
  12. That's awesome! Glad they got the approval! Is this the last barrier to beginning construction?
  13. That has to be the weirdest way I have seen someone refer to fluffy, fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo. I love TPR.
  14. I would suggest going early summer, like just after Memorial Day. Weather is still pleasant then, and you should have everything open for you. Don't miss out on the Riverwalk when you're in San Antonio. It's really special.
  15. ^ Thanks for that. I appreciate the insight. $200k is not a small amount of money, even for a large business like Six Flags.
  16. ^ & ^^ It's really both of those. If it were making money, they would keep it going. But it's not, so they're just fulfilling the contract and getting out.
  17. Wonder Woman has a really cool system. There are three sets of numbers painted on the floor, 1-8. The grouper thus has three trains to work with in getting all the seats filled. Eliminates the need for a group of 2 or a single rider to push past anyone. Then once the front set of numbers is filled, the grouper will ask that train to go into a short side queue that leads to the back of the station. The trains never stop, so loading when the train is in the back gives a lot of time to load. It's wonderfully efficient and the clockwork of it is fun to watch.
  18. You can buy individual photos at the gift shop when exiting the ride, or you can buy a photopass at Guest Relations at the front of the park, just before you get to the security checkpoint.
  19. Loving the Swedish weirdness. Glad you had a good time!
  20. I wouldn't recommend trying to do ZDT's and Sea World in the same day. They're really far from each other, and ZDT's opens late and Sea World closes early.
  21. Nope, if you get the SA pass, all your freebies are in SA. Also they specifically bar residents of the states where they have their other parks from purchasing a SA Platinum Pass. The fine print in some places will say that pass is only for TX residents, but I've bought one and used one, and I live in MO. So with you also being a Midwesterner, you're probably ok since SA would be your closest Sea World, but it wouldn't hurt to check with the park.
  22. I would think they did this to lessen the chance of someone getting injured and avoiding potential lawsuits. ie. Lessons learned with Son Of Beast. Good point. And there too is a financial incentive to do it.
  23. Again, there is no such thing as "better compliance." Either you comply or you don't. When a rules change is made, Six Flags is going to modify whatever they need to in order to remain in compliance. We know that Boss's queue is in compliance because the ride would not be allowed to operate if it weren't, since the ride was built after ADA went into effect.
  24. ^ I'm glad you had fun. They offered the same deal to me at Coastermania 2016, and while everyone was on Wilderness Run, I had no wait for Maverick. No regrets.
