  1. ^ Okay, so if it's mainly for future utilization, why would the money have to be spent now? Wouldn't it be a better cash flow for it to be spent when they need to spend it instead of years ahead of time? Also "better ADA compliant" makes no sense. It's either compliant or it's not. There aren't levels to it. Boss is ADA compliant already. As for the cost not outweighing the positives, that's not the right question (and not the question I asked). SF Corporate is not looking at aesthetics; they're looking at revenue. Spending money to fix Boss's helix has the revenue increasing potential of bringing back guests who may have stopped attending due to Boss's deterioration. How many SF guests do you think are choosing not to come to the park because of Boss's queue?
  2. Awesome! So glad you finally made it out there. Phoenix is just the best. Almost as good as pierogis.
  3. Boss queue is not being changed. That would be a shame for them not to take advantage of all that open land by not moving the boss queue back and using the space efficiently. Why do they need to do that to put in Catwoman? How would they profit financially from moving the queue? What is the revenue increase that will result from Boss having a different queue configuration? Would it be greater than the cost to construct that queue?
  4. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/THEY. Not sure why They would be talking about Six Flags, though. Not really on brand for them.
  5. Batman does not fear lightning. Batman does not fear anything. Batman IS fear.
  6. Steel Vengeance. Then you'd have a place to put your keys.
  7. Don't rain on my parade of a trackless dark ride through the Mary Poppins Universe complete with a Lin-Manuel Miranda animatronic! I'm loving everything about this update. A lot of thought and care have clearly gone into the planning. Whenthis eventually gets completed, it should be pretty remarkable.
  8. FTFY. Okay, maybe that's not fair. I'm sure one or two Oklahoma families will stop by at some point.
  9. Actually it's only been three years since Fireball was added.
  10. Cool, Air Races are really great. I'm interested to see how the elevation changes the experience.
  11. So the interesting thing to me is that this is clearly in the go karts location, indicating that this is the first step in a longer plan. The ride...well, it looks like a placeholder just so they don't have to announce "Go karts are leaving and eventually something else will be there!"
  12. Oh cool! Those are great rides. Should be a hit.
  13. So glad to have one of these in the US! Should be super fun. Also glad to see Hurricane Harbor getting a Bonzai Pipeline. It's not for me, but they're always popular.
  14. Yay more water coasters! This is a good fit for them, and the "tallest" hook plays well to their strengths.
  15. I love it! Wonder Woman is a really cool ride, and the one we rode the most in Texas this summer. A bigger, longer version of it would be fantastic. As for capacity...well, the 12 cars will help, but.... this park is gonna be Platinum or bust for a while.
  16. Cool, good on them for borrowing the animals in the queue idea from Busch Gardens. These are generally solid rides so should be fun.
  17. Thanks Bill for pointing out the Wyndham card. They're the only chain that routinely allows 5 people in one regular room. But I agree that for those who aren't in a situation to care about that, there's not much that would put Wyndham over Choice.
  18. Hmmmm. Curious to see how much this changes. I predict that again you will not waste your time with Woodstock Express and Wilderness Run.
  19. ^^ Try the Hershey tower next time you're at Hersheypark. It shoots up from the bottom, then when you come to a rest, it slowly lifts you to the top and then shoots you downward. Amazing ride.
  20. With alcohol, my gut instinct is that local laws don't permit it. But even if that isn't the case here (zero familiarity with Price George County law), then the fact that people are willing to shell out $11 for a beer regardless means they don't have to work too hard to sell it.
  21. Get cookies from the Loaf. It's the one that looks like...a...loaf.
  22. Is that a joke, or legit? I don't joke about things that are well-documented and easily searchable on Google.
  23. Top Thrill Dragster is great. I do feel like the lapbars make it a little more pleasant, especially since a lot of the appeal is looking around for a second from absurdly high up. Kingda Ka is great too. It's one of the best rides at Great Adventure, and the view from the top, while not the stunning beauty of Lake Erie, is pretty impressive all the same.
