  1. They actually replaced Screamin' Eagle's roof???
  2. Same reason they call it a Horsemanship in Quebec. It's a poor translation of "juego mecánico," I assume through Google translate or similar. You get the gist of the story though.
  3. If only all the complaining enthusiasts would actually stay away from Kings Island....
  4. ^ Oh man, you should have gone on a swinging car. It's a completely different experience.
  5. ^ Oh man, for sure. I haven't been on the Coney Island version, just the Disneyland one, but wow was that intense.
  6. That is awesome. They have a great social media team.
  7. FTFY. We all know who you mean. I thought it, but everyone wants Knoebels to buy every classic ride that gets removed anywhere ever so I didn't want to just blurt it out and be such a basic bitch. That's cool. I'll be that basic bitch for you. Rock-o-Planes are awesome, and Knoebels doesn't have one, so, ya know....
  8. Yeah, I'm totally cool with Vortex biting the dust. I don't remember if I rode it on my visit there last year...and that should tell you how much I care.
  9. Welcome to LA! You got a good taxi driver Mountains, oceans, farms--you saw it all!
  10. EVERYTHING isn't your typical tenders and fries. This is SDC you're talking about! There are four different skillets scattered around the park. The BBQ place is great but it's being rebuilt right now, so it's temporarily in the Carousel Barn next to Tom and Huck's River Blast. The burrito place in Midtown is awesome, and the gumbo near Time Traveler is delicious too. Plus there are kebobs at the Wagon Wheel and gourmet grilled cheese near Time Traveler. Don't forget Cinnamon bread in Sullivan's Mill next to the swinging bridge. Bon appetit!
  11. Awesome! You'll love it, whenever you can make it. St. Louis is a great city too. We have a lot of fun free stuff, it should be a vacation destination. It just isn't for a lot of people. Maybe it's the violence? "Deadliest City in America" doesn't do much for your tourism bureau. Don't let that scare you off though. The tourist areas are fine. I've been to St. Louis loads of times, with kids even, and haven't lost anyone yet!
  12. ^ For you, WoF would be worth it. Patriot and Prowler will be new to you, and Planet Snoopy is awesome. Not sure whether you're into waterparks, but Oceans of Fun is the best one in the state. Next year we're getting the same slide that Dollywood got a couple years ago and is super fun. Since it would be free entry, and it's only a four hour drive, I'd say go for it. As for SDC, you can get 2-day passes for $5 more than a 1-day pass (and you're gonna need 2 days anyway). This year they're $71 for 1 day, $76 for 2. We won't know next year's prices until November. I know that adds up to quite a bit ($380 for 5), but it does help having the second day almost free, and motels are plentiful and cheap in Branson.
  13. Wow, credit card MLM schemes. Yep, the American economy has officially jumped the shark.
  14. Well, Riddler is the best stand up. Saying it's a great coaster is...a bit of a stretch.
  15. I mean, if you want to go, you'll have a good time. Just not a lot has changed. The new entrance is pretty great, and they swapped out a few flats. Two expansions to the kids area has been their biggest investment in those years, so unless you have kids, not much for you. If you're coming to Missouri next year, I'd opt for an extra day at SDC over a day at WoF.
  16. That is ridiculously true. Every time I read one a Tokyo Disney report it seems like there's more awesomeness around the next corner, like they're just never content to say "Yeah, this place is incredible enough. We're good now."
  17. ^ I don't know either, but Jesus definitely is cool with it.
  18. Row 4 is the "big boy" seats. The new BBQ place next to Patriot is good, as is Chickie's and Pete's up front. Don't miss Cyclone Sam's next to Timber Wolf.
  19. "MOM!!!! Bert kept making me stop with STRANGERS. . and take pictures with half naked people !!!" Welcome to a con. I liked the Jesus one the best, but that may be showing some baggage there...grew up in a fundamentalist Christian family. My parents still are. My brother and I are totally not. For that reason, I gotta be down with some good old fashioned blasphemy.
  20. Sexy women AND science??? It doesn't get better than that!
